Ghazal No 3

The cosmos day and night bore laughter bright and true,
If once your gaze fell here, my heart would drink its hue.

You are the lost half, I the seeker in desire,
Who seeks shall find, the finder’s flame will never tire.

Though years of separation’s exile sweep me far and wide,
The light of union still within my soul

Finding Myself

All day
I have been 
searching
for myself.
And there I was,
unobtrusive,
watching on,
keeping quiet
under a loud
chatter of thoughts.
I quite often
get lost.

If only you were

That summer night air forgot to
breathe, I forgot something too.
Not sure what, but I remember
a star landed in the curved moon
—I saw it in the reflection
of my steaming apple tea

I remember wanting to
tell you, I witnessed a celestial love:
A lone star found her place
rested in the crescent’s embrace
I thought you’d love the story, a love

Bouncing Back Self-Controlled

In the seamless sky of my fervent yearning,
I let the enraptured songbird of heart soar high,
glide in the spring-rippled amorous breeze
that carried your jasmine fragrance to me.

The dulcet dawn splashed the spectrum of ecstasy,
blossomed the buds of my euphoric dreams 
in the seamless domain of depthless desire.
I didn’t see the sandstorm slither in the slate

Kisses from the Grave

Honey, can you hear me?

Under a yellow lamp I wrote a letter,
Poured my heart on a paper,
