OLD MAID
Mourns the loss of youth.
Regrets the love that she lost.
Peers out her window
Gray and fuzzy dreams.
Two fingers stained yellow tap
on her aching knee.
Tea, long past tepid,
jiggles a stark reflection
staring back at me.
