Work it out
I’ll show you the other side of me
Silence shouts…
Let’s leave this loneliness behind…
I’m sorry for being so stubborn
I feel the aches and burns
What’s wrong with me?
Am I on Cloud 7 again?
Who cares if my heart is full of frivolous fear
For, I can’t live without you here…
I held you dear for almost a year
And I can’t stop thinking about you
And you know that you’re my everything
I’m apologetic because I’ve let you down a few weeks ago
I know that time flies like a treacherous, cunning crow
Turn the cold shoulders
Turn the other cheek
I don’t care…
Yeah, I don’t care
And if I did care, I would have told ya
But, I’m doing a fantabulous job
Being alone in my room and all…I do sob
So, what am I supposed to do, huh?!
Don’tcha want to love me the way you did back then?
I’m still stuck in a daydream, wonderin’ where you been…
Engaging in encouraging sports
Reduced me to naught, but these dirty, old shorts
That remind me of my childhood
When my neighbor friend and I were good in the hood
Why can’t time just stop?
When will I have my own personal time machine?
I want to turn things around…
I always end up here, without a sound
I whisper in a prayer: Please, Lord, I’m sorry
I’m in deep pain…please forgive me…
Please…don’t reduce me to my white lies…
Don’t glamorize me with goodbyes…
Glory be to You, oh Lord of Hosts
Grace be to Jesus Christ – I can’t help, but boast
I’m in deep pain…due to your rain…
Bipolar sure is a tough condition to fight
Refrain from driving me insane…
Sanity and maturity is building me up with its might
I need His Spirit now and forevermore
But, let me lie here and wait for the one I adore

in the vale of missing tales
life isn't all cakes and ale
there, crystal clear
and cherry pale
I can see the umbrella man
the pallbearer man
in public showers
standing still, shapeless and wan
his heart in the can
I can smell your perfume
years after you've left
I've been damned by your beauty
blessed with your hate
your faith is unfaithful
I've been crowned too late
by my childish wish
hard to distinguish
I couldn't care less
groping in the shadows
of the underpass
WALKING WITH MY EYES CLOSED
familiar whirr of police siren
grows LARGER and LOUDER
pulling me over
i must exit the driver’s seat

but a bit too stern
i enter a plea of please

examines my eyes and ears
blindfolded i walk the line-----------------------
i steer like a tightrope walker
my feet feel the bright white light
it leads me across state lines
trolling the line from east to west--------------------
blindsided and tipsy,
a bit giddy besides
but sooner or later i’ll find
an officer S T R A D D L E D
over me
you see….. i’ve been walking,
with my eyes closed
…but only in my mind

If there is division and indecision in the Church, the Israel of God
It’s our low view of the Law of God?
Oh, many redefine what the law is
Or they say that Christ has done away with it
Is that what Christ said?
Do we not follow what God has said? Are we dead believers?
Can we come from our graves on our own to be receivers?
Some can say an epistle is straw
For believers the condemnation has gone away, not the law
If someone offered dead men, the elixir of life
And held it up and said come forward dead plight
How do we on our own come forward?
How do we who act froward?
Only dead men being called by God can perk their ears
Only dead men being summoned can hear
So, we hear with our ears, then we live it out in our hearts
Because our God is working in the inward parts
For someone to say that the law has passed away
Is to not understand the ever presence of The Life, The Truth and The Way
His fulfillment as a present tense
He comes to our defense
To say that some Old Testament Laws only apply to Israel
Is to have a low opinion of God and His vision visceral
There is always secondary application
God uses anthropomorphic demonstration
If God says something that should settle it
So don’t get high and mighty and meddle in it
But pray for the mettle to defend righteously
Giving a ready answer to those who ask hopelessly
The Church which is the Israel of God
The Church in the Wilderness connects us abroad
All who hear we need to come near and reason together
This is a command not a question of whether
Come now sands of the shore, the unlimited star count
Don’t fight and redefine God’s Law, because we will never surmount
So, is it ok to tell little white lies? Is it ok to be white lyin’?
Is it ok to associate perversion and that roaring lion
With those who are metaphysical scions?
No says The Lamb and The Lion, come to worship at Mount Zion
Their tears drown out truth
In a thick coating of white lies
Used to prepare our demise
Each tear, a loss, a death, a wound
That seals our communities doom
A cry for war without any real cause
Our flesh the only thing it burns
A pain that continues into the next generations
Fragility they use for power
Without it they would starve to death
Insecurities dictate their minds
Flooded by the truth of how they feel
Dominating their being without attention
They don't just crave it, they need it like the air they breathe
Or the alternative dealing with their thoughts of inferiority
Whilst being clouded by jealousy
They feel to the race they claim to hate
Yet copy everything we do
That steals everything we've built
The power of the white woman's tear
Is something to be studied
Something so dangerous it's killed more than the white man
Curated a war against the black man
Killing the innocent with their blood Soaked tears
This a crime gone unpunishable for centuries
When you surrender to love,
passion erupts into flame.
And desire won't be ignored;
despite risks of pain or shame.
A screwed-up reality
can take years to understand.
Yet you're willing to gamble;
blind to what fate holds in hand.
Guided by feelings of bliss,
you chase love's elusive spark.
And yet, in fantasy's realm,
innocence fuels the dark.
The feeling of betrayal
devastates your broken heart.
And white lies, stripped of luster,
tear your paper dreams apart.
Sometimes, it seems, love offers
more to reject than embrace.
And then, hope carries you off;
to another, better place.
If you’re older and somehow not dying,
Yet live with dementia or worse,
Prepare to be hit with some lying
Before your last ride in a hearse.
This strategy’s gaining approval
As nursing homes struggle to cope
With patients whose memory removal
Deprives them of reasons to hope.
So little white lies are suggested
Like, “Your husband will visit real soon”
Since the truth often can’t be digested
And no time will be quite opportune.
Or, “Let’s visit the nursery; maybe
You’ll help rock your child to sleep,”
Where a doll substitutes for the baby
Which remains where the memories keep.
If deception brings comfort, I wonder
Why, to me, it just doesn’t feel right
Reaching into one’s psyche to plunder
What the mind has kept tucked out of sight.
I have a daughter who smiles a lot.
She always has stuff or things she got.
With silly white lies she does all day.
She likes to be notice and get her way.
With frowns she tries to make.
She thinks she can take.
My little daughter is wise.
When she knows she is in trouble she cries.
She wakes up in a cranky mood.
I scold her once and she understood.
She says things to confuse.
And she has a short fuse.
My daughter is open hearted.
But she gets me started.
I can talk all day and she would just say.
Daddy be quiet and stay.
She reaches with her arm in extension.
She wants to seek my attention.
Cheeky she is when she denies.
And now she knows her white lies.
It does not get her anywhere.
And daddy she knows care.
If I had lied like everyone else who achieved their goal,
I could have spared myself an useless headache,
and it seems late to realize that my honesty caused a mess!
There was a table for two sweethearts
in the finest restaurant, my first date supposed to have been perfect
with all the enthusiasm and the sorrounding athmophere:
a boutique of roses and scented candles!
The girl's name was Amenda with big eyes of sapphire,
the boy's name was Andrew a little outspoken but funny;
everything went smoothly, the food was superb and the waiter
with an Italian accent was humorous and helpful,
but happened next is something nobody would believe.
Amenda had too much wine and started to talk non-sense
asking me, " What kind of work do you do?"
I promptly replied, " I am a chief ! " and boasting with pride,
silly words flowed from my mouth, " You should see me
in my uniform...everybody loves it! " Amenda with angry eyes
yelled, " Everybody...including the dumb blonde
and the red headed who order food just to see you? "
I jolted as if in a powerful earthquake, " How do you know that? "
But she with a malignant glance exploded, " I saw them
flirting with you while they waited for their order! "
" Oh, pretty boy, you brought me here to listen to your aspiration,
I must be stupid enough to believe everything you say? "
I stood up, pushing back my seat and swore, " I never intented to lie,
Amanda...I am sorry for getting you upset, and if my honest caused a mess,
I apologize with all sincerity. " Ah, you even mention the word sincerity:
here's you reward, fool! " And splashing a glass of wine all over my sharp suit,
she left...while the crowd started to laugh, thinking it was a movie scene.
Here's my deepest reflection on telling little, white lies,
" Guys, on your first date...don't say what you actually do for a living,
invent a profession that brings in tons of money, like a surgeon or attorney;
go ahead and have fun, and the more excited you get her,
the more she'll believe you...who wants to be a loser on his first date? "
