What Formerly Got Celebrated As Adventitious Age of Exploration

What formerly got celebrated as adventitious age of exploration...

1492 unleashed, jump/
kick started, and downloaded
a bittorrent götterdämmerung
spelling genocide of indigenous peoples
occupying Turtle Island,
now surviving tribes
just a shell of their former grandeur.

At present Columbus day
linkedin with high dudgeon
courtesy scattered remnants
of once proud nations
occupying contiguous United States
plus calling Alaska and Hawaii
their happy hunting grounds,
enshrine actual or mythologized
spectacular pièce de résistance
instances when counting coup.

I recollect needing to know
scores of years ago
when a student attending grade schools
within Lower Providence District
as an important bit of information
contributing to (white washed) history
of western civilization
(and never forgot)
recalling the names Nina, Pinta,
and Santa Maria associated
with heroic measures undertaken

by Cristóbal Colón,
(but also been referred to,
by himself and others, as Christoual,
Christovam, Christofferus de Colombo,
and even Xpoual de Colón)
five hundred and thirty years ago,
who purportedly "discovered"
the Americas, when in
fact native occupants of the land
already dwelled upon
the then island paradises.

He/him and subsequent swashbuckling
gung-ho high spirited men
set sail across expanse of ocean(s)
exhibiting eager intent to claim
untrammeled storied quintessentially
opulently magnificent kingdoms
intoxicating greedy Europeans.

Blatant exploitation inexorably nudged
courtesy trickery vis a vis hook and crook
to grab good & plenty treats
forcibly wrested by violence
sabotaging the delicate webbed wide world
constituting millenniums of heavenly bliss,
where marauders wantonly ransacked
indeed lacking absolute zero selflessness
forcing diverse autochthonous nations
to acquiesce and surrender
ancestral grounds to aggressive, coercive
and offensive Europeans hell bent
to populate occupied territory

commandeering, humiliating, manhandling,
poisoning, subdividing, triangulating
every square inch
encompassing fruitful grand home
of rightful heirs to stolen
near boundless tracts
eventually hashtagging uncharted
pristine green acres
spanning from sea to shining sea
becoming commercial real estate
falsely claiming a haven
housing home of the free
land of the brave.

Premium Member She Sings In Secret Symphonies -

As my youth goes yonder her beauty says to me yet, bet, yea,
in my mouth the word beautiful becomes a flavor of valor,
she likes to whisper moments of sad love & tender tragedy
into the ears of quiet poets as they trace the perfection of the Present
with quills dipped in the tails of comets destin for drama,

as you walk wantonly along trails her melody invites
she'll scorn with a question of why are you here with her
then the nails she sharpens with teeth of nurture
will attach One to a cross of commitment, a relic of costly consumption,
because she must have you
as a shadow must have a soul to follow
within the humiliation of Light,
as an owl finds comfort in the concealment of night,

so subtle in admission of affection
although profuse in protection of the Ones she charms,
sensitivity she cannot escape, always hurting to be an angel,
born to be a Princess with feet in mud and eyes on the stars,
deserving dreams of diamonds cast on diadems
while living to endure harsh humanity
an adequate lover her timeframe will accept,
quotes from adolescence she repeats romanticaly,
'Love me in the heat, love me on the ice,
defend me from the cheat, define me despite the price',
alone in her desire I am the champion of her fire -

Premium Member Loss of Freedom

My heart is incarcerated.
Will it ever know freedom once more?

For since I have met you
It has been ripped and shred apart,
Played with and abused beyond my control.

Occasions came when you gave me your nectar,
Allowed me like a bee to savor your sweetness,
And then discarded me for days on end.
Then shall I ponder on the emptiness
That love can give to a caring heart.

I wallow wantonly in despondent deception.
So I have changed, grew cynical and angry,
And I will never regain my sanity
Until I find some form of equilibrium,
Some form of placid peace of mind.
But will I be able to achieve any
If I continue to hanker over you?

This can only occur when I
Shall have the guts to admit my fault,
Seek meekness and kneel down
To pray to my Father who is in Heaven.
Bring my love back to me.

In the Meadow

With you in the meadow
secretly secluded
caught within passion’s throes;
heads spin in fairy rings
as our love overflows.

With you in the meadow
tenderly embracing
lips seeking kisses sweet;
lost in love’s labyrinth,
our two hearts skip a beat.

With you in the meadow
reclining lazily
on a bed of flowers;
our hearts bound by daisy chains,
we make love for hours.

With you in the meadow
wantonly contented
I while the day away;
your promised forget- me-not’s,
enticing me to stay.

With you in the meadow
reluctantly parting
in twilight’s honeyed fall;
you are my rainbow’s end
my precious golden all.

Convenience Afforded Microwave

Especially one courteously wrapped ably
anonymously gifted to
an aspiring gourmet Chef Boyardee
i.e. not surprisingly... revealing mystery
person none other than...
yepper namely me.

Moost anyone can show
off culinary karate chop
suey, whether schooled among
fishy creatures either
from black lagoon,
or privately tutored,

(this haint no canibal)
courtesy mythological Cyclop,
somewhat riotously,
quirkily and precariously,
when blindsided flop

which slapdash loco motion often
misconstrued for latest dance moves
characterizing boogie woogie
(touting Louis Armstrong talents
as token bugle boy), and/or hip hop.

Audible sigh of relief exhaled by
none other than Chaim Yankel,
whose tail feathers ruffled
linkedin to setback, which former
(malfunctioning microwave) did rankle.

No longer must
hungry tummies all told
eat food frozen and/or cold
leftovers formed into Rorschach,
neigh Horseshack habitat mold
more suitable as clay pigeons,
where strong arms
analogous to accordion fold

readied to take aim and fire
young trumpeting Olympian trained
contestants, albeit aghast at
proliferating firearms when polled
wantonly, indiscriminately, and blithely
taking precious innocent lives
worth more than fine spun gold.

Eve vent chilly this monseigneur
and his madam
(Church Lady) conceding faithful
to follow and acquiesce
and countenance flimflam
toward yours truly,
no matter a fake Imam

who offered up feast
Earth friendly biologically/
genetically modified, prepared
artificial intelligent algorithmically
programmed manufactured in Vietnam,
who cooked delectable
Soylent green eggs and ham.

Best not prepare
former entree in microwave
lest they explode instantly
killing home of the brave
necessitating, none other
than one lame rhymester at large
to end poem quickly senseless verse
in order for his hide to save.

Janus Face

Life is a Janus-faced Siren—
willfully whimsical, childishly adamant,
It is death’s nemesis, the soul’s swan song
a black widow, a scheming enchantress,
a mirage, an elusive chimera!

Not everybody gets to realize their dreams,
their fondest wishes, their most fanciful whims.

Some days you’ll get to bring home the moon
and days when you can’t even light a candle
to dispel your haunting shadows;

There are times when you
can harness the whirlwind,
At times it’ll be a struggle
just to breathe to stay alive;

Sometimes the wind is a zephyr
and at times a sweeping gale,
Sometimes the way is
a long stretch of freeway,
and, more often than not,
Oh, life leads you down a rocky road.

Sometimes you get to ride the jaguar,
and at times
you chug along on a jolly jalopy.

Tread lightly into her lair
lest you provoke her ire;
A true confidant of Time
together they play havoc
with the soul of man,
Stripping him of all his luster
all his flamboyant spirit—

Hold on to her …But not too dearly
Let go off her … But not too wantonly
Walk not behind her … But neither lead
Fall in steps with her and waltz with the beat of time!

Premium Member My Name Is Scheherazade

I do not want to die
Like each virgin you bed
When you have ravished her
It's off with pretty head

I do not want to die
But…Oh to be with you!
The supreme ruler, KING
So handsome, yet so cruel

You wanted your revenge
On woman who betrayed
The one who broke YOUR heart
So you must have them slayed

But what am I to do
When brought before the throne?
When you have had your fill
You’ll bow to oath you’ve sworn

And here I am tonight
The Vizier's flesh and blood
My beauty may not save
So knowledge I impart

A story sweet I weave
As in peace you recline
On cushions of damask
In scented room divine

You’re lost in what I say
Your interest...at its height
And there I stop the tale
To be spared on this night

You ask to lie with me
Demurely, I refuse
I promise you delights
When I'm no longer Muse

And so you let me leave
The richness of your bed
Wanting to know the end
My tale plays in your head

Each night I leave undone
The story on my lips
And wantonly you beg
While grasping shapely hips

One thousand nights have passed
I stand before you now
With no tale left to give
Will love suffice somehow?

You come and touch my cheek
I look up in your eyes
"I've come to love you now
You are my love, my prize."

And so my life is spared
You whisper, "Sweetest Dove!"
My stories all forgot
You've fallen for my love

You tell me through the night
Your own love story fine
And now I let you taste
My flowing luscious wine

No virgin girl…now Queen
My love has set you free
And now Arabian nights
Are filled with ecstasy!

Homage To Walt Sing Matt Tilde

~ Homage to Walt Sing Matt Tilde ~

The art of the
     "FAKE" deal (according
to Walt Dizzy Take a Knee Sing
     Matt Tilde) once again
as oft iterated in previous poems,
     doth (soup pearly, theoretically,
    and wantonly) appertain
to anyone (abstractedly, essentially,

     and loosely translated), aye ascertain
ptomaine anyone can attain
     driving a hard bargain,
(sans basement prices)
     utilizing her/his birdbrain,
(which might be about the size
of a child size chill blain -
mebbe acquired during

     weather beaten life
     at sea as boatswain),
nonetheless for results,
     one best ought
     be without a brain
even if promoted as Captain Cain
Guru, cuz to become
     star apprentice,

     one must master
     trumpeting as a certain
Don Casanova Chieftain
     stealing the vote if necessary
     and freely distribute cocaine
(as an opiate of the masses)
     to silence anyone
     that might complain,

thus sets the
     figurative stage to contain
any potentially mutinous threat
     (against sought after bounty)
also necessitates practicing
     nepotism assigning coxswain
to an immediate family member
     with a skull full

     bone if eyed crackbrain
and when upon
     wheeling and dealing
     i.e. thee metaphorical curtain
call - pull out
     all stops to detain
vendor even exhibiting
     faux ("FAKE) disdain

for deplorable basket weavers
     iterated by domain holder
ye wish to acquire
     sought after envied goodies,
     oh...and do
     everything to drain
the patience of he/she who
     controls coveted booty

calling for trotting
     out "Stormy
Daniels" to entertain
and continue ploy long after
     hated yuge, bigly, stupid losers
winning morons with

     zero wind blown naturally
     "FAKE" orange blond
     wind blown hair,
which constant induces
     onlookers with eyestrain.

Premium Member Dirty Art

I’m ready for a little artwork, baby,
so could you grab for me a shovel and
a pail? Let’s head down to the seashore. Maybe
you’ll lay your body for me on the sand?

I need some sand with grains of silt and clay -
a little dirty - just like “sexy you!”
Such grains (when mixed with water) lock and stay!
With sand like that, there’s so much I can do.

I’ll blend it with some water from the sea
to make a castle. YOU will be the base,
I’ll thickly spread that mixture wantonly
along your body – stopping at your face. . .

No crashing waves will sweep away my art.
My castle will have barely got a start.

If Christ Were To Return

If Christ in his triumph and glory
Decides to unravel a new chapter and story
By returning from whence he departed,
He shall in stupefaction be started,
To find out this wanton era
Has indeed, bested Sodom and Gomorrah.

He shall stagger to behold
A frail and lackadaisical Bi Mvondo on hold,
Exorcising with his magical wand
For still more dominion over the land.

He shall in horror watch
Men courting men as women watch,
Holding hands and darting pecks,
wantonly on chests and necks.

He shall the Levites behold in dismay
Roaming Inns both home and away,
Presiding over unclad bodies with an exposed scrotum,
A duty, absent on their holy curriculum.

He shall wince at the sight of the brewery,
And gape at the sight of the Levites' golden crockery.
For which the masses residing in carnage
Have been plundered and pillaged.

Shuddering, He shall run back to His Father
And on his way, pen an apology letter, to Sodom and Gomorrah.
