Will you please explain to me
All the ways you actually
Thought your secret little plan
To annihilate your loving man
Was going to be so cool
Acting like he was a fool
Not wise to your evil ways
All the hours of the days
You were scheming never knowing
Little things you did were showing
Him a little more than you
Thought he figured out and knew
He wasn't fooled, he wasn't blind
Now your being left behind
And you have no one to blame
Your the one who played the game
Cheating on a love so true
He was devoted to you
Giving you all of his time
But this sad and awful crime
Left his heart turn into pieces
Till the day he finally seizes
All his courage to walk out
He didn't scream he didn't shout
Closing the door quietly
Leaving you to silently
Stand in shock what did you think
He was gonna stay-- you fink
They hit the road before the break of dawn kicking down doors rattling gates and slamming car doors. “The computer people a goh kill the woman ova there so, we a goh murder her!” threat come echoing from behind the wall saturating fear through the modern roof.
The commotion continues throughout the wee hours of the morning and the turbulence shows no sign of stopping, the shouts and the threat continues and when I could not bear to listen to it anymore; I took a walk out door to examine what was on the floor and the excitement speed off about seventy miles per hour up the road, and a woman’s voice shouted, “A mi alone in a the car now” It didn’t sound logical but I could analyze its meaning.
I continued my work in the early morning and the traffic keeps coming and going and suddenly I heard a screaming, the cops come rushing down the hill and parked on the other side of the street and a woman emerge from the car and descended into the yard.
Domestic violence it seems has derails someone’s dream and the little man with the taxi came rushing in was part of the bubble; there was going to be real trouble. He parked in front of the cop's head on and puts on the white light signal and pretends as if he was the boss
He went underneath the big apple three on the other side of the street and the domestic upheaval intensified. I watched from the side and listened for a while then I zoom them out. It is the nonsense mixing with common sense that didn’t make sense.
The brawl continues into broad-day light with the cops and the neighbors arguing about I don’t know what, the woman was issuing murder threat in front of the cops, and on the other side of the big church the lawn mower man was cutting grass and digging up earth drowning out the domestic confusion.
And so the morning faded away with the cops, the computer people and the PM people running around the town without shoes and crown, with the minstrel and the drums sounding behind them.
I could not hear them anymore even when I walked through the door; the morning suddenly became still and just the warm heat and slight breeze, I could feel blowing over my feet and the stage was set for a brand-new journey.
Her,
Let's talk about her,
She's always so bright, or it's all about the sight
They way she loves, despite the other's bluffs
When someone says her name
She keeps them without any shame
One day I asked her, what does she want
Said, I have some wishes, can someone grant
To be the one, whose taken care of
As I am soft, like a freshly baked loaf
To just be free, be free as a bee
To walk out the door and be real me
How can I be not objectified, besides they say
I like the way you smiled,
May I not be the one everyone wishes for
To be someone's everything they wish for
She said,
I'm strong, I'm built like this
To be the bait or just live to be his
The list is huge and my clock is clicking
I laugh with a boy and they start shipping
Stress a distress, You have to look flawless
When you're feeling like a mess
Body shaming, no we care for you
Where were you when my hands turned blue
i asked, how do you handle all this,
Said, you should know, don't you know miss!
Day by day we pass by
without even a clue
to the thoughts and the dreams
of the seemingly few.
They watch from the windows
as the world marches on,
and wait for the moment
when we will be gone.
You've seen them yourself,
standing stoic and tall,
patiently waiting
for us humans to fall.
And when we are buried
then begins the new day,
mannequins everywhere
will all have their way.
They'll step from the windows,
walk out of the stores,
ready to inherit what
was once mine and yours.
Will anyone listen,
are my words all in vain,
or are we the dummies
at the end of our reign?
Dream kiss
Just like in the ocean so vast and wide and deep.
Are the hearts of lovers dreaming while they sleep.
Alone I stand upon this shore staring out to sea.
Believing somewhere out there, someone’s looking back at me.
I raise my hand to shield my eyes from the bright light of the sun.
Then look out to the horizon. To see if I can see the one.
The one that will chase my loneliness forever far away.
At last I see there’s no one there, I have to wait another day.
I walk out to the water and get down on bended knee.
I place a kiss inside my hand, then put it in the sea.
I imagine that I can watch it as waves toss it to and fro.
Knowing as I watch and wait our love can only grow.
I watch until the sun sinks down giving way to night.
Taking with it in all its glory the last rays of daylight.
In the dark alone I sit heart aching wanting more.
As I listen to the ocean kiss the rocks along the shore.

Every day is a little more special
With every breath we take
With every moment that passes by
The impressions that we make
With each breath we are given
The first could be the last
Simply making the best of them
Let your present be your past
Brave enough to answer
Any beckoned call
With strength enough to face life
The toughest battle of all
Every day that we are here
Each moment will be blessed
We stash away our sadness
Striving for happiness
Sometimes things don’t go our way
When our hurting takes center stage
When anger overwhelms us
To the point of a burning rage
Soon however it comes to pass
And the pain will slowly fade
Light emerges from the darkness
As we walk out from the shade
Let every breath have meaning
With purpose to each moment in time
Never forgetting how to smile
While moving to the rhythm of the rhyme
We dance with love awhile
For every moment this heart beats
For every breath of fresh air
The blessing of friends and family
And precious moments we share
These words are not forgotten
They reside deep in my heart
For everyday is worth living
Each waking moment a start
I feared heights when I was a kid,
& as an adult, women and responsibilities are what I fear,
If heaven is in the skies,
Maybe one day I'll meet Him on Jebel Amianin,
When the urge to think,
Draws me close to Him.
It's weird how of all the million pages in a newspaper,
Children only scan the colourful pages,
Funny how I used to be that kid too,
Carefree and excited,
Yet now,
I can't help hating familiar places that once held dear memories,
Growth has two things,
Disappointments and misquoted statements,
They say bees flea smoke,
But what if smoke is the most polite language that tells the bees go away,
We sleep with hope of a colourful tomorrow,
But when we wake,
Tomorrow is a yesterday and the next a tomorrow.
Sometimes my future is the miraculous Mosaic bush in flames,
& I have high hopes a ram will appear and I'll I'll walk out the furnace,
But every waking morning,
None of these hopes,
Comes out of the smoke.
Now I grow from strength to strength just to fill someone's shoes,
For expectations— which always did exist
And needs, of no name— of many names,
Just like I'd drop a tear in the ocean,
And be tasked to find it.
A pair I can appreciate about growth,
Is that I can sew words and make a dress of it
& Coffee isn't off my boundary anymore,
So yes,
I'm living the best I can— one day a boy—the next a man.
Grandfather and his cursed fortune through black magic
Patrick opened hell through magic
He willed a door open
Tried to reach for the coins of gold in a pot
He went blind reaching for it
But still managed to reach inside of the pot
And pull some out which fell in his daughter’s lap
He tried to close the door but he fell in
To the dark side
He couldn’t stop all the things hitting him
Needles, sticks and darkness
A demon approached and told him he has to be free of sin
To close the door and pay rent or it will be passed through his family line.
Pay back all he took
It made no sense to him he couldn’t close the door
Grandfather died a wicked death the debt passed on
His daughter had to pay it back and close Hell
She spent it, and tried to hide the fact by not telling anyone
She flat refused and died a wicked death
But she passed the gold on to her son
Until the demon came back for it
Every time the person would die he would ask his descendants
And he advised them all how to pay
Or their souls will be forever held in hell
And no one would pay it back
They were hoping no one will find out but are struck with ill fate.
Until her daughter felt such bad luck the demon approached
He said pay only your share
And walk out the darkness with your children
And I’ll close the door.
Only your share and showed her where a vision of where the dead ones are
She paid and walked away.
The morning after
Is there any reality ?, or is it just another dream ?
Four AM and I awake from a dream.
That dream tells a story, is that story a truth ?, -
The truth that came to light, Valentine’s night.
I came to visit with you - your girlfriend is there –
Our words are brief – you want to leave – walk out the door.
Your friend and I remain behind – your choice.
Your girlfriend begins to tell me that you are involved –
In fact - you have been involved for a long time –
I have been nothing more then a filler for your empty hours.
I awake with this pain in my heart and a knowledge of.
WHAT ???

Four AM ,pen in hand, words begin to flow.
You are a beautiful Lady, I would love to know.
My heart ache, bleeds for you- I show
you the tears that run wild, through my veins
until knowledge of, absorbs, and all that remains
are holographic shards, memories ( good or bad ) of the pains
I have had to endure - your words where “ be patient ”,
“ be this, be that, be the other ”.
My soul’s spirit, you did smother.
Implication ?, my dream realized.
but these all seem to be more transient.
and my life’s journey, compromised.
In all honest Monika, - I think – never from you
will come the passion, the closeness, the affection, the love,
a desire for – all these things I desire to give and to live,
I so wish to know. I feel that I am nothing more - for you –
then a gift – the gift of Christmas love ( black and red lovers twist ).
A block of wood, carved into – inanimate – lovers entwined in each other,
a passionate kiss that you see as a musical symbol.
An item to be placed upon a shelf – looked at, but never touched -
symbolically, spiritually or as a mentor to bring out of you – life, alive.
As always Monika, I am conflicted - living with uncertainty,
Always in doubt about where I stand and what I mean to you .

All my dreams I need to follow
For a clear brighter tomorrow
But my head is in confusion
There has been a big intrusion
In my brain saying not to go ahead
Stay right here with me instead
I don't know how I should feel
Trying so hard to conceal
All the feelings in my heart
Not wanting me to part
From this great new world I'm in
Leaving it would be a sin
Since the day we first met
Your loves something I wont forget
Should I leave or stay right here
Its so wrong, not right or fair
That this choice is gonna be
Leaving us in misery
Both of us have been so touched
By this love that means so much
We need to be really strong
Either choice I make is wrong
But my dreams are waiting for
Me to pack, walk out the door
To a future destiny
That is waiting there for me
