Lord, teach me to evaluate before I vacate
Teach me to treasure challenges in route to my destiny
Teach me to value debate in trying to educate
Teach me to appreciate my friends and love my enemy
Before I escape, teach me to be still and meditate

Let not my sleep be a runaway ticket from reality
Teach me to appreciate both roses and thorns in my pathway
I am amazed when look up into your vast domain and galaxy
Open my eyes, my ears, my heart, and my mind to you each day
Whatever comes or goes, teach me to trust in thee

One great lesson taught to me is the lesson from the tree.
Enable me to release to others the love and forgiveness you give to me
It amazes me how carbon dioxide goes into trees and oxygen is released
Like the tree, keep me with the ability to be the person you made me to be.
And Lord, I'm grateful that it's really true that the best things in life are free.

Sunshine

My sunshine, the woman who makes me smile and pushes me to be better and I don't even think she really knows it, but just being who you are shows it. I've exposed you to two sides of me and I know what you feel for me is real because threw it all you still haven't left my side, neither have I left yours. Only good things could be in store for us, a marriage is about two people who want to be together but humble enough to make those adjustments, finding someone who's loyal and you can put all your faith and trust in and I know that's what I have when I look at you. I don't see convenience I see love so concrete, you know the type without drama, cheating, and deceit. The kind where when you think about me you know I'm the only one who was able and patient enough to sweep you off your feet. The best things in life are free but this love...we had to pay for this, we paid for it with ignoring signs and red flags but still God allowed us to find each other because deep down we are the best fit for one another. Amazing would be an understatement to describe my lady, it's a pleasure to say my best friend is also my baby, the woman I know without a doubt gives me her all and doesn't hesitate to show it, I'm eternally grateful to God for sending me this angel because it's only by his grace that we've held on this long so it's obvious with this relationship he three strand roped it.

Premium Member LIFE CAN BE BETTER

It's easy to get frazzled,
Just drained by difficulty'
But there's much more to experience,
The best things in life are free.

You'll find every day holds treasures,
More treasures than troubles, you'll see,
If you just take a moment to notice,
To take a deep breath, just breathe.

Just decide to be happy,
Whatever your circumstance;
For help is just 'round the corner,
You have but to ask, take a chance.

Most folks make their own problems,
By taking on more than they can do;
Then get mad because of all that's expected,
And thinking that they're being used.

Just learn to say 'No, I can't do it.'
It's okay, you can't do it all.
By taking on more than you can handle,
You're setting yourself up for a fall.

Just learn to know your own limits,
Whatever you can or can't do.
You'll be happier by setting your boundaries.
To thine own self be true.

How Much Does Love Cost

The saying goes the best things in life are free

Well I ask to all how much is love because I have been searching and can’t seem to find it

Either my corrupted mind is blind to something so pure or love is a currency in which I cannot obtain

Did Romeo pay for his precious moments with Juliet, is there a loan for love

Lost in questions my eyes see answers starting to reveal themselves

Yes, love has a cost and it comes in the form of late nights of frustration, tears that never stop falling, and cracks in one’s mind that spread to the heart

Once every night of frustration is spent, and every tear paid for has finally hit the ground, and when your mind has broken so much that your heart becomes lost

Then will you know how much love costs

Then will you find love

And then will you find peace along with conservation

Just know that love will always cost and the price will vary

p.s. I paid a dear price gambling with love…

Premium Member Back To Atlantic City

Between Philly and New York on the sea
is a town on the coast of New Jersey.
This place is known as Atlantic City.
This is a nice source for some summer fun.
There are cool and crisp ocean waves and sun.
Here is a boardwalk and a sandy beach.
To some big cities, it’s all within reach.
It’s been said, the best things in life are free.
These are the things most visitors don’t see.

They would rather be in a casino.
Playing silly games, they see their cash go.
Gamblers find slot machines, cards, wheels, and dice.
At first, it all looks like fun and quite nice.
However, their luck becomes cold as ice.
When they are flat broke, they are out the door.
In short time, they will all be back for more.

The Best Things In Life Are Free

Don't be depressed
When you open your wallet
Or stick calloused hands
Into empty pockets

Where the lap that you have
Is not luxury
Don't worry,
The best things in life are free

From the smile of a child
To the holding of hands
Or when a friend gives
Words of encouragement
When someone you know
Says something nice
And you see that they mean it
By the look in their eyes
That soft warming glow
When you know you're in love
When that someone you love
Says you're more than enough
When the sun comes around
To another new day
Giving another chance
To get it all straight

So don't be depressed
When you open your wallet
Or stick calloused hands
Into empty pockets

Where the lap that you have
Is not luxury
Don't worry,
The best things in life are free

'Tis often said that the best things in life are free.
Open your eyes and keen those ears and I think you would agree!
When Old Sol gilds the eastern skies then settles in the west,
We're awed by the Master's Artistry and we are truly blessed!

Note the magnificence of a rainbow arching across the sky;
In the ebon universe, the celestial bodies silently passing by.
The sight of skeins of geese winging their way to points unknown;
The sound of soughing winds through the pines so stately grown!

Dew drops on crimson roses at dawn that grace a pristine lawn;
The gamboling nigh yon copse of a graceful doe and her fawn.
Hear the laughter of little children cavorting in the park,
And the cheery song in the lea of a very contented meadow lark!

Sounds of water playing its hymn rushing o'er stones in a stream;
The sight of a majestic eagle soaring high and its clarion scream!
Mountains reaching for the sky are a magnificent sight to behold;
In the autumn, the trees all cloaked in crimson, yellow and gold!

Herds of buffalo and sleek antelope grazing on the rolling plain;
Awesome displays of lightning to be seen during a pouring rain.
There are so many things that are free, too many to really measure,
That don't cost a cent if we'd only take the time for them to treasure!

If the best things in life are free
Why does the world revolve around money?
Must I die in order to enjoy my fruits?
What lies ahead after the game of pursuit?
 After I possess the gold, cars and home
 What other wealth can I obtain unknown?
Can I buy a ticket into the pearly gates?
 How can I obtain a way to avoid destiny or fate?
Must I pay friends in order for them to stand by me?
 Without currency, will the love of my life still lay beside me?
At night, will this witch continue to ride me?
Will the spirit of greed forever chide me?
How long will the almighty dollar hide me?
 Worldly riches will never make me whole
 For, I am rich within my soul
Yet, my final home I have yet to see
 My father possesses riches unknown
 Throughout eternity I wallow besides poverty happily
 But poverty will never swallow me
