Through countless miles we walk alone
from cradle down to dust,
with friends and loved ones near and far
to honor, love and trust.
Step by step we trod this world
North, south, east and west,
Searching for our one true self,
To feel whole, complete and deep-ly blessed.
Struggles are a daily dose
Of dealing with this earth,
And all the blood, sweat and tears this life demands
To carve out our own true worth.
While time takes its toll upon the old
Watching youth eroding by;
Damn the wrinkles, damn the pain
And the rivers of tears we’ve cried!
Damn the love we lost back when
And the races we once won;
Damn the mountains we once climbed
To touch the morning sun!
Aging right is a long hard fight
Each soul must go alone;
Each breath we take, success, mistakes
In the end will take us home.
She updated her picture on Facebook today
Smilling by flowers, nothing to get in her way
On seeing the picture I just couldn't hate
The person she is, though she's made me this way
I noticed that she had put on weight
I'm skinner then her now a fact she will hate!
She's always been superficial about looks
Its clear to see she is not as happy as the picture she took
It made me smile that I look better than her now
A small victory for me though it may seem soar
Iv lots 8 stone through illness alone
My struggles to her I have made known
I contacted her when I was admitted to hospital
But she only cared it was my husband who told her
She contacted me to ask which number I'm on
That's all she asked, there was no contact no more
That was last September, she's hasn't called to check
If I'm better now and if the illness is in check
I guess I should not be surprised
This is a women who belives all her lies
I feel so rotten critiquing her weight
But she told me being skinny was the only way
Being overweight was never right in her eyes
My weight disgusted her through all my life
But as I say im nearly "skinny" now
If she still loved me she would be "proud"
I fit in now what with what she sees as beauty
But her personality always made me feel ugly
I don't ever see looks in people
The inside is the only thing that makes people real
But with her its the inside that makes,
Her outside ugly no matter the amounts of pictures she fakes
Iv got one thing going for me, of that I'm happy
Both of my parents are not what they would call "ugly"
A full of head of hair in their late 50's
The only genes I'm happy they gave me
When I see her smile I know that she hides
The darkness she has buried inside
Through all my life I believed she was right
But this small victory will help me sleep tonight
Today im glad I look exactly like him
My face doesnt harbour or hide any darkness within
It always pained her I was his "twin"
Maybe thats why she always made me hate my skin
It doesn't matter if your fat or thin
Its the beauty that matters that you find within
A supefical victory today I did win
My weight or my looks were never a sin!!!
in a room laced with gloom
his beats boom he dreams of wreckin' the mike
his momma's home she's alone
a sad song she struggles she fights
his lil' sis' is quite a miss
but them fives they do dis' they women so bad
but they alright except at night
for fives will fight you know a drive-bye’s to be had
in the ghetto he's a cello
if he's yellow he's bound to get played
his homies ain't no phonies
they drinkin' forties and lookin' to get paid
on the corner he's a gonna'
take lil' Jack Horner’s fo' they Christmas pie
sticks in his thumb pulls out a gun
ya' betta' run son he's one crazy lil' five
there's two sides to this lil' five
he's full of jive and has a heart of gold
if he jacks you fo' fifty don't give in too swiftly
he's kinda' shifty he'll want fifty more
his mom's on welfare nobody else will care
some fives they do stare at his lil' sis
on Sundays in church his soul he must search
at night he does dirt a childhood was missed
a baby born a bastard; things happen fasta'
the streets might cast ya' in the role of a wimp
a five from L.A. drivin' a six tre'
crime it do pay wants his name on the blimp
the U.S. government cannot prevent
this adolescent from goin' astray
not to mention juvenile detention
just another dimension of the American way
joined a street gang it's a ghetto thang
playin' the dope game he's a thug fo' life
original gangstas like this lil' pranksta'
he can't wait to shank ya' in the heat of the night
OG's got a mission some fives they dissed 'em
pranksta' can get 'em it's initiation day
the scene's a playground it's fin' to go down
babies they run 'round looks like a foray
closer and closer his heart grows colder
gettin' bolder and bolder his nine-millimeter jams
seventeen years old his body turns cold
his last episode hollow points rip his ass
a frontpage story didn't earn no glory
nature was predatory really dug his profile
he carried my name could not break the chain
he lived in vain he was my only child
Charged with a fiery spirit, full of valour
To protect the nation from rival force
Volunteered to join the armed force
Knowing well all risks, sans remorse
Plucked away from hearth and kin,
Often had to dwell in lands unknown
For daring and diligence, laurels he had won
Ever confronting foes, lived a life forlorn
Lay in ambush in dingy trench
Crossed swords with formidable might
Starved to death in enemy camps
Fought with verve for country’s right
All through service, knew no rest
Ease and comfort, he had none
To drill and discipline, he was wed
Life’s winsome pleasures, he did shun
Bravely bared his manly breast
Before triggered guns and flying bullets
Shed out drops of sweat and blood
To save the nation from rival blasts
Now back home, wounded and hurt
Life is limping without hope
The sky is dark, not a ray of light near
No one around to serve as prop
Winds blow fierce striking fear
He struggles to make both ends meet
Through long and lonely roads he walks
All he sees is the stark grimace of defeat
Even his close family turns a cold face
So painful it is that all seem to ignore
A hollow emptiness now fills his space
Who would care a cripple back from war?

Take things easy with mahjong game,
Watch with sure gaze discards that tell;
Thought strategy works the sly frame,
Let poise forge maze as moves work well.
Each card you stack can fit the groove,
Note how blocks spread in clusters here;
Align sure knack with steady moves,
Each move is read in mental spheres.
From East to West, the game goes round,
The dragon trail and winds that blow;
Cards that work fest on solid grounds,
Smooth numbers sail in sets that show.
Chinese word craft calligraphy,
Marbles that stray, bamboo needles;
Hurl thrill and blast as mindset frees,
The seasons stay power struggles.
Round the table, each player treks
Each counter move with cards at hand;
Spread the sparkle in winning deck,
Windfall now proves a lucky trend.
Four seasons swirl in circle trip,
The winds of change weave tidal range;
Feel blocks unfurl a winning grip,
Luck works things strange in web of change.
So here we go round the four winds,
The moments cast an active spin;
Moves lost and found from thoughts unseen,
Counter moves last to bring home grins.
Mahjong table chat can reveal lots,
So much at stake to zero in;
Share bits of fat as gossip slots,
Force choice in takes that hustle win.
And at the end, count our winnings,
Compile and see how each did fare;
Did crafty blend reap fine endings,
Or purse empty of small change take.
Let fancy style mahjong tiles here,
Mix and mingle acrylic blocks;
Just for a while buzz gambles dear,
Cash now sprinkles pleasant fond talk.

I have enclosed you with gloom
inside the womb, babe's safe haven
attacking your fortress as your Mom
writhed in agony drowning you
against rejection fluid…
Then I welcomed you with hopelessness
watched your struggles to yell
miraculous survival shout
yet skeptic about your Mom’s deafening wails
accepting her loss over your birth…
Finally, I sealed you around
grievous abandonment-asylum
since your Mom signed freedom waiver
liberating you both from each other
toward partnership-severance…
But, now… I accept my failure
seeing you thriving in love
as God verily champions
grace and compassion*
with your orphanage family.
*Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 of the King James Bible
Despite crises, God’s victory rules with His bounty
Dispelling hardships causing despair, anguish and anxiety
His help enables the diligent to fight poverty
Enriching them with labor’s fruits of productivity.
Despite problems, God’s guidance keeps His believers settled
Leading them to His perfect will where they are safely handled
His wisdom directs them against being deceived and rattled
Thus, they overcome struggles tenaciously when embattled.
Despite despair, God’s holy pursuits magnify His presence
Putting to shame selfish goals of no value and sense
His standards push His followers toward noble persistence
Against worldliness that pulls them down by its alluring insistence.
Despite falsity, God’s power exalts what’s right
Moving His stewards to do their utmost best with commitment-light
Making them to be blessings with their good works’ might
As with servants’ hearts, they praise the Lord with gratitude’s delight.
Despite sin-imprisonment, God-given freedom can be enjoyed indeed,
Worshiping Him is exciting, unmindful of time to exceed
Sin-slavery He can vanquish to meet every soul’s need
Spiritual hunger - He alone - with His satisfaction can feed.

"We flow like rivers through innumerable birth and rebirth until we achieve salvation" by Author
River of my life, flowing incessantly since it left the sea...
Initially I thought I will chalk out the route only to realise i must follow the path laid out by wind and terrains
Sometimes the roads are smooth and easy but many times there are obstacles to be surmounted
I trudge alone weary and tired desperately needing a rest but I must go on until I reach the ocean
People hurl garage on me. I started out clean, now I am dirty, polluted.
At times I lash out in anger through flood and tsunami, they get scared and stop for a while only to start again.
I have no choice but to endure it all.
Terrain is rough and hard, people around insensitive and selfish but I must go on for I have to reach the ocean
Until then I cannot rest
Often benevolent God takes me up and sends me back pure and clean.
Once down the whole process starts all over again.
I trudge alone along the winding up and downs of life without a pause for I am destined to move on until I reach the ocean.

Everywhere I turn, uncertainty dwells;
I walk; yet often I struggle, fall, unable to move.
I hear YOU, I'm not deserving; yet YOU tell me I am.
Who am I to be unsettled, YOU have shown me the way, YOU are the way.
Have I not seen Your Wonders, have YOU not shown me favor?
I wake each morning with the breathe YOU have given me.
I am willing to do Your works; it is Your Will.
I know now, YOU will lead my way.
I know YOU will lift me; for I am your child.
Your love will carry me through my struggles.
When I am unable, YOU are behind me with a gentle push.
YOUR light shines luminous in every part of me, this I know.
All uncertainty is gone, Your Words, Truth.
Life is possibility
there are broad horizons out there for us all if only we will look
If children don’t succeed they try again or try something else –
life is about finding who we are, what our purpose is, and where our talents lay…
Just because we are not happy with something now
does not mean tomorrow will not bring brighter horizons
Get out and follow the rainbow of opportunity
its spectrum of options are numerous in number and variety
Look top your heart and minds desires and work with it
A potter will work with a piece of clay, take it and mold it
Squash it, slip it, turn - carve - colour - glaze and cook it
In attempt to master the minds perfection
We do not always get it right
but there is little that cannot be scrapped and redone
before too far down the path and then re-do
There is nothing to say if we become lost to our first desires
that in looking for others we shall not find where we should be at
or what it is we should be doing
Too many of yester-years children have grown up
to thinking they have no place within our society
they have become lost to lack of jobs
they are skilled and talented in own direction
as humans they bring chance to our world with new skills
those that are being lost through continual rejection
Each of us has personal pot of gold to find
not always is this financial but one that makes us feel needed
Each of us should be encouraging
so many live miles from home families divided miles apart
Community is individuality here and yet we need pull back together
for in doing so we will know each others needs to support
When the efforts of others become unrecognised
We can lose that which is vital to having the skills needed
for tomorrow or future years
Pulling together now and offering needed skills to fit in
An hour or two’s experience in an alternatve can keep us in touch with one another
I was always taught that none of us know what will happen to us in years ahead
Sowing seeds now could help us grow or keep us going then
Think twice because times are changing
Those latter years of our lives could perhaps see us working retirements
With those we helped along the way over us instead
Teach them what you know and they’ll remember
Maybe helping you in your struggles or perhaps retraining
Karma comes around as it goes around, make yours good!
