Doctor's Orders

For nearly forty years, I served in various capacities
in my chosen career. The way seemed hard and dark,
misty, cloudy and filled with fog. Every road I traveled
led to struggles and questions, and never finding traction,
I moved on. Since high school, every place in my abode was
an unsettling one, and the fitting never seemed to be just
right. But each job, position, struggle, and trial made me
bigger and the better for it. The route was lonely, and the
navigation was always challenging; and often The Lord seemed
to have provided just enough, just in time. As the song says,
"Through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus; I've learned to
trust in God". I am now much better prepared and equipped
to help others find their way through the jungle of life which
can be treacherous at times. And looking back, I have concluded
that my struggles were just what the doctor ordered.
