and during the rain
when everything
is washed
and my son runs
to his golf ball
and the wind is blowing
just enough for mild excitement
and boys to appreciate
being young
in wet jerseys
in the wet April
afternoon
when they are reminded
that golf is just a game
and boys in middle school,
just like girls,
want to have fun
and feel like they too
are part of something
bigger than their middle
years, of child to teenager
then teenager to young
adult trying to be
an adult
Why didn't I notice
the birds when I was
eleven?
Two Eastern Towhees
landed on the powerline
while I was running
earlier
and I stopped
to gawk at something
that would always be
more colorful,
and glorious than me
(a sweaty
excuse)
I hope Ben never stops
running and laughing
in the rain
I am almost forty
and I haven't
...I have a next door neighbor who
is not the same color as me,
but I never much thought of that,
he easy-going, friendly.
We both got along well-enough,
until his sister did move in,
and brought along a yapping dog
who’s barking was as loud as sin.
I put up with this for some weeks,
then I went over there and asked
if they could keep him in at night,
in the sister’s eyes anger flashed.
She claimed I hated ‘black people,’
that was why I was doing this,
treating them like normal neighbors
somehow made me a racist?!
On days off I do like to hike,
like to go to the great outdoors,
the quiet of a mountainside
lifts the stresses that I abhor.
But then I saw an article
claiming going off to the woods
was somehow racist in itself,
and that doing so wasn’t good.
At this point I just rolled my eyes,
the truth was abundantly clear,
these people had no principles,
just sought to rule us all through fear,
If all is racist, nothing is,
and if this woke bullsh-t persists,
the only people worth knowing
will be ones that they call racist.
Just like a seed
you are small and filled with hope
For you are to grow and feed the world
You are precious and priceless
you are innocent and pure
I know you are the sunshine of your parents
But for me you are the light that has touched my soul
Leaving an imprint of tolerance and love
For me you are a school
And I have gained so much from you
How can this little angle has that impact in my life!
You help me purify my heart
You taught me patience and acceptance
You taught me unconditional love
you increase my faith in God
When I am tired and want to give up
When I look at your smiling face
I regain power
I’m so fond of you
And your joy, despite your young age and suffering
makes me know that life is worth living no matter what happens
And that there is always hope we better thank God for all we have
I know all that happen was meant to be
Just hope that this experience will better my life and make me a better person
Be safe little angel and pray that all this will be soon part of the past

Since Psychiatrists have lost their superficial reputation,
applied philosophy as metaphysical existents is the realization.
That ideology proofs the infinite potential of the mind,
by the soul enabled life force that provides all challenges behind.
Mental surface impressions making the mind to an emotional sponge,
whereas spiritual aspiration are the negating conscious for once.
The mental eye blinded by immediate result and satisfaction,
while the soul knows the purpose related determination.
Not given the real source enough attention introspective,
creating lost personalities in related circumstance respective.
The individual soul as part of cosmic consciousness,
create the prowess of the involution of karmic justice.
The mental disorder is the lack of true intuitive perception,
the logic contaminated mind as handicapped conception.
Digging deep into profundity is nothing new,
ancient theories provide lots to ponder on and to chew.
Mindology just another name for the same problem,
peoples superficial thinking and not getting to the bottom.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
Times when families get together,
it can be in Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter weather.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
Days filled with relaxation and rest,
and all the feasting that is only the best.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
Days for the enjoyment,
of not having to go to our employment.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
A gift for children for as a rule,
it's a day when they don't get up for school.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
A time of laughter heard in the trees,
or the aroma of barbecue wafting on the breeze.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
Memories of those no longer here,
and all the times they brought us cheer.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
When some are thrilled by colorful presents,
but are a better gift because of our family's presence.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
The year's gifts of giving,
for us taking part in our daily living.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
Nearly upon us again, and they bring us a tear too,
because we love you and wish we could share them with you.
HOLIDAYS ARE...
Truly, a present from God above,
presented through His Son, bestowing on us His gracious love.
Said Bashful Billy
To this pretty filly
"Can I give you a peck on the cheek?"
Said the pretty filly
To Bashful Billy
"Yes, but first there's something I seek!"
Well, Bashful Billy
Really had no clue
What this filly was asking for
So he whipped out a frog
From his colorful togs
Said, "If that's not enough, I have more!"
"No! No! Silly Billy!
That's not what I mean
I want you to do magic for me!"
"It is told you can bake
A great Birthday Cake
While balancing a hot cup of tea!"
"Well, yes if you wish
So then may I kiss
The tender young cheek that I yearn?"
"Well, not quite so fast
There's a thing I must ask
That you teach me a trick I may learn!"
Well Billy agreed
To teach this young filly
A trick he knew she would love
With a wave and a shake
Of his magical cape
A pink cloud came down from above
Although they were hidden
You knew she was smitten
Bashfull Billy had won her young heart
They rode into the sunset
With love a sure bet
You knew they never would part!
I bring you my little heart
It’s been battered and abused
It’s all bent out of shape, Lord
Because it has been bruised
I lost some of the pieces
I can’t get them back, you see
It all happened when he said
That he will not forgive me
Jesus, please stop the hurting
For I can’t go on this way
Every time that I see him
I just don’t know what to say
He has cut me from his life
And he threw away my heart
I’m left here, Lord, to wonder
If you have the missing part
He claims that you’re his Savior
He says that you bring him joy
Why is it then, sweet Jesus
That he broke me like a toy?
So here I am, my Jesus
I'm uncertain what to do
But tell me, Lord, why can't he
Be forgiving just like you
LOL. My daughter wants to go to Milwaukee to see a cat.
This is part of a group text from my own daughter.
Her daughter is seventeen and a favorite grandchild of mine.
Where in Milwaukee? I ask. Silly as I have never been there.
An antique mall that has a live cat. Hmm… Sounds good to me.
I text my granddaughter. Want to go to Milwaukee with me?
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Emoji Emoji Emoji Emoji Emoji
We will have to ask your mother. This gets done quickly.
We head to Milwaukee, a twelve hour and twenty-three minute trip.
Talking and laughing until our sides ache for three glorious days!

They do not move a muscle
Nor give unto their fears
But contemplate their carnage
Have you even not, one tear
Had I known you like I do now
You wicked callous beast
I never would have shown you
That my heart was in your reach
When the first drop of precious blood
Impacts upon this ground
I swear I’ll not forgive you
And by the Gods I’ll strike you down
But could we not turn, this tide
And you and I once more
Find the love sent from about
And do, as we adore
NO, cause you insist to make my wish
Lie broken on the floor
And wear a glove while touching love
Just like a filthy whore
Don’t think the Gods won’t notice
You’re defiled and you’re sick
By using love to hide behind
To pull this dirty trick
Page 5
Ah, to one trick there’s another
And I possess my share
Be patience and I’ll show you
What can happen to your lair
With cunning and with cruelty
My counsel will evoke
A very cunning plan
That would make Poseidon choke
I will converse, with Apollo
To have the sun replace the moon
So therefore catch a tan
If it’s possible, by noon
Then I’ll call on my Seamstress
To sew me something smart
With these hand made silver boots
This is Fashion’s off the charts
Of course all my solders
Will be dressed up in their best
Tunics will be optional
And so might the rest
We will decorate the beach
With a bonfire and some torches
So the enemy can watch
While they’re lounging on their porches

Send a ship down to the tropics
I think seafood would be nice
And one up to the artic
To fetch all some ice
I know some Greek dancing songs
We’ll get the band to play
And I’ll maybe sing a solo
To melt, their hearts away
Cause no one, but no one
Puts a party on like me
And makes the end to every war
A spectacle to see
When things start dieing down
Very late at night
We all crawl to our ships
And we’ll put out the lights
We give them the impression
We’re all drunk and going home
This should make them feel relieved
That we’re leaving them alone
But that is when we pull
The oldest trick, found in the book
With a sinister contraption
This deception’s off the hook
To Be Continued.................
Vitriol and darkly circumspect,
These desires they know no bounds.
Tender prey and inviting eyes-
I spare no expense in this cold lover’s stare.
Awaken some deeply buried sense of entitlement
When I tell you that I asked the spirits for you to arrive.
There is a part of your desire that fills me with doubt;
All dressed in silk and broken dreams
Calling my name in your fitful sleep.
Your words fall like memories in some vague translation
Of original thought into this cheap rendition.
Pull me close and whisper those precious lies-
You know the ones I’ve been trained to imbibe.
I hear my name spoken in the darkness
As you open the door and stroll towards the bed where I lie.
I am almost afraid until it comes to the forefront of my mind-
That you are the victim restrained by your own pride.
