                                           The Sands of Time

The sands of time moves on without respite,
                              whether monarchs or humble vassals
have to bow at its moving shrine,
                                      it drips on without kindness
                                         without grains of solace
                                          for souls great or small
                                              and does not wait
                                                    for a while
                                                         as it
                                                           is
                                                           a
                                                      precious
                                                    gift of God
                                                bestowed to man
                                               to apply with thrift
not to waste it in vain
                                         as moments frittered away
                                       can never, never be regained
despite all efforts to retrieve them
despite all will to halt its silent march.

Never gonna feel anymore pain, never

Never gonna worry bout' riches or gains monetary things...
Never, No never;

Never gonna die again Oh! no, no, no, no;
Never gonna walk in the rain no more;
Where I'm going it doesn't snow;
Never gonna shed a tear, nothing but joy here...

Never gonna blow my own horn;
Prideful conceited and battle scorn
Never, no never am I

Never gonna wish you weren't born;
I got no heaven nor hell to put ya; (no never)
Never gonna say your name, call it out in vain, no way, never;
Never gonna live in shame;
I won't be lifted up, cause I am just a man;
Spirit/soul, skin and bones;
Never, never no...

I'm gonna turn this praise around; (never-never)
Oh, yeah, yeah

Premium Member Fall From Grace

I once lived in a land of welcomes, greetings, hellos, and sweet goodbyes I now reside forevermore in a forever place of hellos and never goodbyes
Here I stand in darkness, nowhere near anything that looks like home Fear came with my fall from grace, but I am also dejected and alone

My abode was a most beautiful mansion overlooking a scenic hillside I am now condemned to this awful dwelling place, wishing only to hide
Everything I behold is fraudulent, including the flowers in my hand I was condemned to this place of the doomed and never never land

I have no one to blame, because it was I who caused this awful pain I have been a receiver and not a giver, because I sought only to gain
A fake, a flake, a heart breaker, and an unmerciful taker A sin seeker; now, I'm being punished with the evil maker I am one of many fallen angels who flirted with danger And to confusion and rebellion, I was not a stranger

I knew better, but willfully chose not to listen or heed the Divine I chose to be selfish and proud, always reaching for what was mine

The light that I see here is only streaks of fear pretending to be light There's only darkness here, designed to torment and forever strike fright

Premium Member God Is Love and We Too Should Love As He Does-

God is love,
So if God is love.
Then He shall never, never ever give up on us.
Yes, God is love and He never, never ever gives up on us.
Love never gives up,
Love never loses faith,
Love is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance.
You see God is love and we too should love as He does
Yes, you see God is love and we too should love as He does
God is love and we too should love as He does
God and His Son,
Does this and so much more.
So if we be Christ like,
Then we to should.
Like God never, never ever give up on us.
Yes, we should love as God does.
You see God is love and we too should love as He does
Yes, you see God is love and we too should love as He does
God is love and we too should love as He does
His is a love that never, never ever gives up on us.
Love never gives up,
Love never loses faith,
Love is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance.

Must dos' are the things that we must do without having to be told

I have a 'short list' that makes it easy to remember for a 'forgetful person'

Never-never be forgetful of certain birthdays, Valentines, and Anniversaries

'Do Lists' were taught to me by a loving elderly businessman and friend

Failure to place value on and prioritize important things are not an option

'Under the circumstances' does not always qualify for an excuse by some

Let the truth be told, even with some flexibility, forgetfulness can be costly

Neglect is also pricey and in some cases, it may even be a criminal offense

Escaping responsibilities may be the verdict rendered if we are not mindful

Swimwear is a common-sense adjustment when winter and spring have ended

So, likewise, I must learn to make every sensible adjustment for vital matters

Premium Member ERNEST LEE--

Cario, illinois
Not a heros row
Stood a linky tall black tree.
Grandfather??
Farther my eyes, rise
My father's father
First and last time I saw him
Tall black, he had a long back
Liken an african
darker than a "sudanese"
Darker than real dark chocolate.
Did I mention he was so tall soul tall
My first and only meeting of him
The year "1974"
We crossed the river
from Missouri to Cairo, Illinois
Mercy, me he was a tall tree

Ernest Lee

My father's cousin
Introduced us guess
my father hasn't seen his father for decades
Family secrets I know not why
My father's cousin said this is your grandson speak to him
This tall tree darker, blacker than me
Tall dark and quiet quiet
It was the bright of day,
but his stature was like midnight.
He had a shovel in his hand ?

dark man
Reach this skinny arm, hand
in his pocket and pulled out a coin
It was a quarter
Twenty five cents
And though this man my grandfather
Who am I never never, ever saw again
This not a sad story, (guess though should have kept the quarter)

This is not a negative story
I have no answers, middle risk of developing questions solely
WHY???
Who is this man
Soul, so tall body so tall arms,
torso so tall
How can this be
I see

This tall tall tall black tree
This was my Grandfather Ernest Lee

 you may be wondering
why my first only and last meeting
of my grandfather
Why? were we at a cemetery

You see this first and only meeting, greeting my grandfather
And why was he holding a shovel?
My grandfather was a grave digger
I saw him alive on top of the earth
Shovel , in hand as he was digging through dirt dirt
And though this be
Minute first and only meet a greet
I stood before this tall black tree
My grandfather grave digger

Jammba Lammba Ghoo

If it worked it would be seen
As a business oppurtunity of
All times
A foreign company allowed it
Champion to wrestle our
Number one contender
The confussion came
When promoters veiwed
The schedule and found both
Champions had bookings which. Invovled
Seven of the same men.
Of the seven two were
World caliber contenders
One was a sitting world champion
One was about ti retire
Another was signed to depart after
The third week in the next month
The other two were looked over
Due to them being prelimanary
Contenders
Well the world champions faced one
Another and one man became dual
Champions it made the next weeks
Interesting.
In a prelimanary bout
Two maked men
With the words "anonomomus" in red
And " invisible" in blue
Interfered and caused the champion to
Lose both belts against a prelimanary contender
The championship commitee challenged the
Results, but the president
Of the company allowed the results to stand
Well he also refused to change the champions schedule
And appionted manager Plankboard Manaxe
As the champions adviser
Well the shedule included three prelimanary bouts
And a match against the vetern
"The masked Marvel"
Well carrying two belts he had the worlds attention
He won all the matches( masked men interfed)
In the last bout he asked a fover of his freind
Giant Koofa well he was victorous
Due to the Giants interferance.
Well nights later the main event was moved
To the middle of the card
With protest from the champion.
Well the masked marvel showed up
Looking in great condition, the crowd recognized
The outfit, but the guy was seven foot and over 350 pounds
Well 16 seconds into the bout the masjed marvel whipped
The champion into the ropes
And raised his bigboot and
The champion fell and the refferee
Made the 1,2,3 and we had a new champion
The mask man, grabbed the microphone
And unmasked
He said, Does anything nice comes from
Asking mean people favors? He asnwered never, never, never!

The empty nest syndrome

Looking up, into the skies, clouds form
an empty nest, it becomes the norm.
I do not desire to know the empty nest syndrome!
Yet must, as my young Bird seldom comes home.

It is a natural process- an inevitable course for life,
yet it is difficult to accept, worrying, living with strife
as one observes, in horror and looks, with fear,
into the eyes of all you gave to, seeing it slowly disappear

into the groping claws of ?, losing what is Dear,
to the insanity of this insane, as he takes hold
of your beloved, young Daughters innocence, to mold
her – with empty promises – into the likeness of him,

this punk, pr~ck, as~~ole demented, who’s light is so dim,
shadow cannot be seen, life for my Beauty, is a black hole abyss
from which she may not escape – a good life she will miss –
from this place, this place she sees not nor able to rise above,

thinking she feels ?, believing his feelings are love,
this sh~t he lays on her – this sick demented f~ck
who uses, abuses, plays her, drags her into the muck
because he can, because of her naiveté, her obsession,

her insecurities, her innocent beauty, her depression.
In his life time - an innocent cute ty, never !, never !,
again to know, as never before, nor after – ever !
It is no wonder, under his thumb, he keeps my Melanie,

trapped by all – his and hers – she unable to set herself free
as he plays his mind games – threats that will not let her be
a woman, on her own – in the right hands - that I might see
come to maturity in all her beauty – not to be – to high the fee !

Premium Member Always Losing

It seems I’m always losing
Just when I think you’re finally mine
You wander again, seeking the arms of another
And I’m left alone, with just the memory of your smile
I’m always loosing.....

Your songs of love and devotion remain in my heart
I still see you clinging to my arms, drawing from my strength
Just as I feel once more the sheer ecstasy of being with you
In an instant, I realize....
You have gone....again
Gone!
I’m always losing...

Who am I? I am the great I AM!
But...who am I to YOU?
At times just a discarded toy hovering at the edge of your existence
Or the shelter you run to when storm clouds gather
The lucky charm around your neck
But never, never what I long to be
The very air you breathe
The core of your being
The reason you live
Always losing...

If only....
If only I could enter your world and gently lead you to...
FEEL the strength of my love
SEE the desire of my heart for you
TOUCH the blood I’ve spilt to call you mine
TASTE the tears I shed when you wander away
Then ...then you’d surely let me win the battle for your heart.
Today, my love....
Let me win today...
My heart will break if I LOSE your love for eternity...
No...NO! I cannot...I will not...lose you!
Oh, my precious love, please....won’t you let me win?
