To Memories
Born in old East Putnam, a long long time ago
My mother sang to me, her voice so sweet and low
It's just a simple ditty, she sang rocking in her chair
I'd give my life to hear her voice, ringing in the air
"Hush my pumpkin don't you cry
your here safe in my arms"
"Close those eyes and rest your head
I'll protect you ever more"
Hush now pumpkin don't you cry listen to my song
you have so much to learn and I will keep you strong
Now sweet dreams are needed, rest now in my arms
let my voice take you there, while I rock and calm
"Hush now darling don't you cry
your here safe in my arms"
"Close those eyes and rest your head
I'll protect you ever more"
Happy Mothers Day
