Speak Softly

Memories from 2020:

Artist: Michelle Morris
Artist's Description:
Some people treat relationships like a cruel game. Hopefully in time, karma will teach them how it feels.

SPEAK SOFTLY
BY MICHELLE MORRIS

Chorus
Speak softly
Those words breaking my heart;
Better yet -
Stay silent
And stop them
Tearing me apart.

Speak softly
Those words I don't want to hear;
Better yet -
Let's forget this
And stay together.
(End Chorus)

As we depart on our
Separate roads,
I'm feeling cold;
I'm feeling alone;
I'm heartbroken;
My soul numbed.

You seem fine -
Moving forward...
Getting on with your life...
We're so out of time...
You forget so easily...
Everything I was meant to be.

Chorus

But so it goes,
One more invested in it,
And it certainly shows...
Three years later and
I still don't trust;
You're married again,
Never losing touch...

Of someone new,
Another game to play;
But will she be able to
Make you stay?
Your fickle heart,
Narcissistic ways;
A devil who always strays.

And she'll be the one to say:

Chorus

One day it will all come full circle,
And you'll be the one feeling the hurt...
You'll be begging someone to stay...
And they will just laugh at you and walk away.

Feeling Good and Feeling Free

feeling good and feeling free
you are changing your clothes in front of me
you love it when i am happily speculating
i love it when you are intentionally hesitating
i treasure the taste of you
no color is a waste on you
the smell of your body is perfect
would you rather me gently lick it or aggressively slurp it

feeling good and feeling free
you remain fully naked in front of me
our conversation smiles with satisfying softness
we are celebrating twelve years of continuously moving forward off mess
the smoothness of your skin eases my mind
a laid back woman like you is so hard to find
with you there is no world and all i think about is unwinding
what comes after is the most euphoric feeling via your unique style of grinding

Premium Member Aborted Rights Remain Valid Facts To Speak Up

Attempts to cull the human unborn have caused mass controversy
despite the widespread damage this can cause to the population
under stable growth moving forward killing the weaker of our group

Whom are unable to defend themselves
from this violent abuse system ever originating
crushing morals branded as an inferior being

Devaluing it's space of origin with these loveless acts of aggression
towards another comes these deeply engraved remarks
twisting truth turns venom and drinks from the souls of those innocent bodies

Sacrificed as something rejected unworthy of love
murdered not being up to standard classified worthless
challenges the political role as lawless agendas creep

The wide scale damage this causes on society
at large it mounts up to an industry with inbuilt uncertainty
revisits our future as the signs of chaos condemning basic rights to death

Premium Member Stepping Into the Unknown

Standing at the foot of the stairs
allow one’s eyes forwardly gaze
there’s light forcing itself at the brim
but one’s eyes see nothing just a haze

One starts to force your sight more fully
but remembering the road there is steep
as well as many kinds of twists and turns
so much to combat but keep focus real deep

This attractive light is so persuasive
it draws you upward and forward
no matter how hard this journey may be
have faith in oneself and go onward

This is filled with such symbolism
pointing to that powerful divine light
which attracts earthly beings of faith
to believe moving forward behold the sight

What a sight indeed it’s glorious
this light draws one to come in
to be seated at great banquet fare
there the king of glory will indeed win

Premium Member Scattered Pieces

My world shattered in May when my youngest son
took his own life after a long struggle with mental illness
I tried to help him so many times, but it seemed,
the more I tried, the more he pulled away

I had to come to the conclusion that it was not my struggle
and live my own life, while letting him know that I was there
to help when needed, I had to keep going forward in my
own life and find a purpose for myself while he lived his

When my world shattered, I gathered as many pieces as I could
and started to rebuild my world, and I noticed there were some
parts that would not fit in my new life and that's okay,
I just needed to keep moving forward and recognize that I am different

It is so hard at times to realize that I am leaving the life with my son
in it behind, but I will never forget him and will love him with a mama's
unconditional love forever, and I do look forward to the day that
I will see him again, whole, healed, and in a good place

Conqueror

I never stop learning and I never want to stop
No matter how many times I fall, I am getting back up
I know the sun will come out tomorrow so I have hope
I keep moving forward, not looking back no chance for that
Yesterday is over, on to the next challenge …I keep moving forward
I will make mistakes, that’s how I grow…from every lesson… I will not let it stop me, from pushing on

People keep telling me…I can't… I am trusting my instinct it will lead me where I need to be
Nothing is wrong with a struggle... I will not live there…giving up is not an option …I will not accept defeat…I am a conqueror
Anything I do, I make sure I love it because this must give me happiness and keep me chasing my rainbow

I will never settle; I am getting what I want...it's mine to take …I AM A CONQUEROR

the quiet return

There was a time
when I couldn’t remember
the sound of my own laughter -
it had been so long
since I’d let myself forget the weight
of yesterday.

But today,
I woke to the light that isn’t harsh,
to the air that isn’t so heavy
with what was.

I don’t need to push it all away anymore -
the grief, the ache, the silence.
I’ve learned
to sit with it,
to let it breathe beside me
without letting it drown me.

I’ve started finding peace
in the small things -
the way the morning light spills across the floor,
the taste of coffee that’s mine alone,
the sound of my own feet
steady on the ground,
moving forward.

I don’t have all the answers,
but for the first time in a long while,
I’m not looking for them.
I’m here,
just being,
learning to love the space between
who I was
and who I’m becoming.

It’s not perfect,
but it's enough -
the slow unraveling,
the quiet return,
and the feeling,
finally,
of being okay again.

Jericho

Your insecurities are just walls you created
Meaning only, I is holding you back
Mother earth did not come with boundaries
And God left the land to be explored and conquered
Limits are set by the minds of humanity
You created walls you believe you can't fly over or break down
You created fears you believe you can't see past
You can do anything you believe because no wall, gravity, fear, or person can stop you
You need confidence instead of I can't
You need an action plan not just a map
You have to believe in you before anyone else can too
Stay consistent
It doesn't matter how many steps you take in a day as long as you are intent on moving forward
Keep walking towards your dreams
Some days you may go backwards or take a wrong turn
Just make sure you redirect your spirit back to what you hope to achieve
Life becomes what it's meant to be when you learn to grow from the seed of history
Let your aura flow
And the art of letting go
There is no need to hang on to bad energy when you have wings to be free
p.s. so fly away into space where your dreams waiting...

Premium Member Our Ever Living Journey

All of life is our journey
moving forward backward side to side
all directions is a movement
whether we consent or not to abide

Every moment is a journey
heading in some destination
whether it be short or long
it'll always be an occasion

All over the world someone's on a travel
no matter the weather sun or snow
everyone is moving somewhere
whatever the speed fast or slow

It's really an amazing fact
travelling takes many a form
by sea air road and rail
in winds torrents tornados even a storm

Only death can stop this journey
but even then it cannot stop
for whether up or down we go
our journey's producing a crop

At the great judgement seat
all our travels will we admit
when Jesus will decide our lot
whether for heaven we're fit

Finding Loves Potion That Puts Our Hearts Into Full Motion

My days filled with your inspiration
Anticipating our love vibration
That makes my heart start racing
Chasing our dreams with all this sensation
Of our feelings that have come unmasked
Trying to keep our lives on task
Moving forward not able to really grasp

How our love outlasted
What our hearts are telling us so fast
Knowing, whatever happens, will be a blast
from our feelings attached to the past
Believing they were safe to hide
Testing time farther then we can glide
while we deal with life's emotional ride

Asking the good Lord to carry us to the other side
Trying to deal with our passion we just let slide
With all these emotions stuck on high
Our memories very much Alive
Tucked away so deep inside
That has our thoughts all tied up in knots

Finding loves potion
That puts our hearts into full motion
Giving us both this up close notion
Created from our sincere devotion
Has outlasted many things that have come to pass
Holding onto the love that we won't surpass

Our secrets, we carry so real inside
Taking this locomotion on an amazing ride
That allows our friendship to fly
Up in the sky reflecting on high
When our spirits ignite taking flight
To secure all these moments that have been so right

Might have seemed so far out of sight
What we have been missing night after night
Knowing you are my sunlight
That keeps my world so bright
Making our wait so worth the fight
Keeping us both moving forward upright
With our love that we ignite
Every moment with you so full of light

That carries us into the limelight
Inviting our words we recite
On any given day that just takes us away
Where we can sway like it was yesterday
Making it impossible to just let it all lay
Knowing you are in my heart to stay
Keeping our love in play
I wouldn't have it any other way
