Moving Forward

Perhaps right now is a good time to just reflect
Addressing all those issues you always seem to neglect
Maybe this will  be that day that you finally start to begin
And look upon how many of your ways are infected by sin

For you cannot move forward by ignoring your past
And some memories are so deep that they will forever last
But by confronting your past then your future will be free
But this too will not last if it is not the Lord first who you see

For it is your past that is shaping your future
And in all you have amassed it is only God who can cure
So in order to move ahead and get where you need to be
Maybe just pray instead and then just wait and see

Just allow life to continue putting everything in His Hand
To Him now be true and you too shall soon understand
And now that you are free and are no longer bound
You will be able to clearly see what once couldn't be found
