A fountain of fragrance

Fate turned serendipitous on that day
That made was I to take a rout walked less,
My nose when felt a strange fragrance on way,
Not all unknown, devoid still of address--
For I failed to recall any a name
Until a flower bed in front I saw
And then the tree-- lit with light all aflame,
Ah, sky jasmines, I cried out in some awe.

Indian cork trees, a stranger to bare few,
Known by flowers that hang like a lantern
In late autumn, a scene of heaven’s hue,
Five white fragrant petals a burn in sun.
I try smell the cork wood
But cork’s no sandalwood!

Why a sonnet of two half lines at the end? Well, fourteen is the prevailing practice. Yet, with thirteen a sonnet defines better harmonic or golden mean considering the ratios defined by two divisions: the smaller (the sestet) to the larger (the octave) what the larger is to the whole (thirteen). But to make even number of lines for the sake of rhyming symmetry, the thirteenth line is made of two halves. So, eight plus five (full lines), not six. Also, 5 and 8 as well as the sum 13 are consecutive integers in the Fibonacci series.

Masked malice the core

I'm in a room where everyone is pouting on a Mask but I don't fit in because I'm not covering myself with one so everyone hates me for being real what they don't know is that the are too many different spirits in me. A personalty is constantly shifting. I'm the most Hamble but acts differently the next minute. As I move round, in and out of different rooms with each having masked faces i stumbled across one with out a Mask and I thought I found the one a soul mate just didn't know she was my cell mate she wore a the most perfect mask that you can't see with your naked eyes she was the Masked malice by the time I found out it was to late cos she had already stabed me in the back the moment I turned she had a bow with an arrow on fire pointing straight to my heart . It's funny cos I still thought she was playing even after the stabe in the back I still felt her now she has an arrow pointing at my heart but I smile and made the wrong move that is when the arrow pissed through the heart. At the moment of death i saw that angel I feel in love with but that was just a glimpse with the eye of death i saw through her and realised it was just Masked malice that I feel into

WOMEN WHO MAKE MEN LOST!

Empowered women young
So glamorous as their clothes swing.
A glimpse of them gives men a boost
Not to lose their zest.
The young women of Delhi.
Most modern to down to earth Desi!
Punjabi, Marathi, Madarasi, Gujarati, Bengali, North East!
And all mixed Desi!
Dwindling their silicon bosoms
Twinkling their cultured eyebrows.
The will to live a life
Not just exist in the male strife.
In the city of multitude
Being a capital of a million attitude.
Many in pants,
Many in chudidhars*.
Provoking the young of men.
The angels of the city mad!
Where are you moving with phones mobile?
Your movements make the hearts of many a man mobile.
Oh! Always calling or getting called.
The wonder machine (mobile) wonders
For being blessed to be between your ears and lips
While doing the service to the lips.
Oh! Beauties!
You deserve a crusader prize.
For surviving the crowded Blue lines
Cowardice teasers beelines
Bossing over bosses at office.
Dictating men at houses
Surviving the age-old vices
Attending to brothers, parents, in-laws and out laws
Still striving for reservation laws
Thirty three percent** would set free many more
Will it set the men free of their sore?

                         * Women’s wear
**Government proposes to grant 30% reservation to women in the Parliament & also
                               in jobs.

Pride of India

Dancing vibrant hues
Blink in shades of blue
Peafowl, A majestic bird
Our nation's pride

Peacock - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!

Yellow sturdy physique
On glimpsing him, the forest shrieks
Bright black stripes on body regal
Stands the royal bengal tiger

Tiger - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
 All are welcome, yeah!!!

Smirking amidst the fecund pond
Pink beauty lotus lightens the land
To glance her in the morning,
Arises the sun gleaming

Lotus - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
 All are welcome, yeah!!!

A lofty banyan tree
deepens its roots free
Broadens its spiritual hereditary
Coerces to confront the world contemporary

Banyan - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!

Camaflouged with dry leaves
A dry leaf butterfly make us perceive
Don't judge by the veneer
Orange butterfly our seer

Oak leaf - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
 All are welcome, yeah!!!

Our mother earth, the queen
Dons the elegant dress in green
And the blue crown forever
And so our place is prosperous ever

Ever friendly weather - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!

 Ancient books and poems
classical songs and rhythms
Valluvar, Vyasan, Kamban, Bharathi
Tamil, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi

Poets, cultural treasures & languages - The prides of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!

Like different euphoric rivers
Accumulating minerals and deliver
We travel in a path discrete
But at the same sea we meet

With diverse faith and believes
With the varied swaying leaves
We still shine with glee
As we affixed to a single big tree
Named India

Diversities - The pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!

NOWADAYS

Girls nowadays are lazy
This generation is so crazy
Selling out their body, just because of money
Thinking it's fun, living like it's funny
They're living in a hurry, trying to please society
Living a cunning lifestyle
Thinking they're wise and fine, they're just bite and spit.

Boys nowadays are very desperate
Not determined or patient
They want to be on the top
Without having what it takes
Doing things that gives instant gratification
Making them live in stagnation
When things don't go their way
They start constituting nuisance in the nation.

Parents nowadays are nonchalant
Don't want to know the source
Of their children's income
Steady inputting pressure on you
When they see your mate
Doing better than you
Awaken the spirit of exploit
Instead of the spirit of creativity and productivity.

Our leaders nowadays are selfish
Their only concern, is their family
Steadily gathering generational wealth
While the nation is shapeless
Insecurities and joblessness everywhere
No infrastructure for growing the economy
Causing the nation to suffer from inflation.

BE MY RAIN

My lines
Written for you
For love
My world without you
I am nothing
My breath
With you
My heart
With you
For a pinch
I came to you
Everything
Hidden in two words
My freedom
Has found a place in my heart
I am nothing
You are that
I am nothing
You are that
The darkness must leave this land
The loneliness waiting in the shadow of eternity
My destiny is you
LOVE you
A breath
My crushed heart in my soul
A wild fire
A volcano
Behind a wall
My silent screams
And in the songs of tired children
You are that
The one I've been waiting for
You are that
The one I miss
Like a raindrop
My wet eyes
Be my rain
Come and wet my eyes
My rain Come, strike my heart
You are a rose
In my lonely garden
Be my rain
Be my rain

Premium Member Until I Go Blind

A limerick needn't end with just one verse
A whole new pattern could very well emerge
A story in fact
Four verses to be exact
It opens up a whole new poetic universe

So as of this day, I'm on this new kick
Don't want to wind up with limericks too slick
Just add a new twist
With a flick of the wrist
With more than one verse my mind goes adrift

A chance to expand to new ideas up ahead
Create whole stories where I once feared to tread
Little vignettes
As creative as it gets
Not bound by limitations but freedom instead

Who would have thunk it after all this time
A new and exciting format to challenge my mind
Exploring new vistas
Maybe get into mischief
Gonna write, write, write, until I go blind
