Hopeful Wonder

When a dream never comes true.
You start to wonder, is it you.
Have I done something that I should not.
If I did, well I forgot.

The best dream that I ever had.
Ended up just being a fad.
The style went out and lost appeal.
And now I'm not sure what I feel.

Maybe it's time to think again.
But I start thinking twice and then.
Four times four and out the door.
As I decide maybe once more.

What can become of what's unknown.
Is not allowed until it's shown.
That's when we all will see things clear.
That we can't see that far from here.

What a wonder title to this gem !! Sorry I haven't been around... not a good poet friend... shame on me. Look what I have missed and you the faithful friend wondering in comments where I've been. So many unknowns await to be known... sometimes I'm feeling adventurous and sometimes not. But, I do know I'm not giving up !! Love this poem !!

I enjoyed the thoughts and words of this poem, Robert. It gives one pause, to think of what might be if one ventures out beyond the "known". Very well done! A 7 from me :)

you are always thinking, thinking, Robert. I say, just sit and enjoy the moment!! I think "dreams" are often a waste of our time.

Maybe dreams are for those who haven't gotten what they've always wanted Andrea. And I don't know anyone who's gotten everything they've wanted. Dream On. :) Peace.
