Without a king,
We face the open waters of raging oceans
Seated upon rafts devoid of oars!
Without a king,
We gulp as shadows dance in broad daylight
Holding power in between their grips
Sneering at us as we wonder at what shall
Be our fates!
Without a king,
We all become asylum seekers
There where other kings rule
Imbibed with spiritual abidance
To moral principles!
Kings lead by example
And since we are submissive to their will
Are we not kings and queens
In our own right?
Don't we have to be accountable to how
We are slowly killing Earth?
Or to how selfish and evil we can be
Towards those whom we envy?
Can't we be empowered enough
To hold out hands to those drowning in deep wells?
Can't we dress ourselves with the robes of virtue
And lift up those who are oppressed,
Or deprived
In a world which shall never belong
To any of us,
Whether we be its king,
Or its subjects?
Kings are those who maintain order, to allow
Continuity and sustainability
King are those who shine on their thrones
Chosen, lauded and praised by their people
But then,
Kings are also those who remind us all
That we are also made of royalty
And that we can be the unsung heroes and heroines
Of the script that we play in, leading anonymously
But,
Rejoicing of the feel good factor that such gives us!

The time has come to give some joy
To this sad and depressed world
To bring some happiness into hearts
Alike to young and old
Soft music to lift up the mood
And fragrant candles to light up darkness
The deep and impenetrable darkness
Will light up with joy
Bringing lightness to every mood
And the spirit of giving to this world
Caring for those persons old
With the trueness of heart
The spirit of this season in the hearts
Will demolish all darkness
The cheer felt by young and old
Will be seen by the passing joy
As it spread its cheer in this world
Uplifting everyone’s mood
This uplifted merry mood
Will cheer and brighten every heart
Happiness will reign in this world
No time for evil darkness
To meddle with supreme joy
When it shines brightly in the eyes of the old
Together we young and old
Will cheer away the sad mood
Dancing hand in hand with joy
With laughter brimming in our hearts
Forging away in darkness
To diminish it in this world
The brighter and better world
A safe haven for young and old
Life free of all darkness
Cheery and merry mood
Mellowness and kindness in every heart
Bringing to this universe some joy
To bring into hearts of this world some cheer
The mood out of darkness being uplifted
And into life of old some joy is given
I JUST THOUGHT I`D SPEND A SHORT WHILE, TO LIFT UP YOUR DAY
A FEELING OF BOREDOM,LONLINESS BUT THIS WHAT I SAY
TRY NOT TO DWELL ON THE FALLS IT DOES THROW
WE SHARE YOUR FEELINGS,WE REALLY HOPE YOU KNOW.
THAT ALTHOUGH YOU ARE MANY MILES AWAY,MAC
TAKE THE ROUGH WITH THE SMOOTH, AND YOU`LL SOON BE BACK
HOME AMONGST ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS,YOU MAY FIND
THAT YOUR NEXT DESTINATIN,MAY THROUGH YOU SOME KIND.
I UNDERSTAND IT`S EASY PREACHING FROM COMFORTS OF HOME
I HAVE BEEN IN SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES,FEELING ALONE
BUT HOPEFULLY SOON,THINGS WILL LOOK MORE FRESH
WHEN YOU`RE BACK HERE AND MAYBE A SESH ...( OR FIVE )
Lift up my eyes to the mountains
Where will my Help come from?
My help will come from the Lord
Who created the Heavens and the Earth
-- Psalm 121
Lovely words, these
of the Psalmist to Thee
But how do they apply
to little old me
O, Lord, you have created
magnificence on Earth
And perhaps you were present
when my mother gave birth
Yet when You bring out the Sun by day
and the myriad Stars at night
When you secure all Natural Laws firmly in place
Do you still keep my personal needs in sight
They say You rule over this vast universe
over galaxies near and inconceivably far
So why would You be involved with
a nothing like me ~ It seems bizarre...
O, Lord, please do not think me a renegade
some kind of rebel who far off has strayed
I'm one of Your creatures; You created me too
the only one able to praise and bless You
Well do I know
there's naught to be won.
Desire nonetheless drives
me (and you?) on.
Do you fancy this fight?
I shall not retreat.
So lift up your sword,
and bring on the heat!
You advance with a laugh,
I parry with a smile,
you fade all coquettish -
I lunge with deft guile.
You shed my offense,
launch diagonal strike,
but I'm always on guard,
to a love I dislike.
Yet, despite all of this,
your strength doth prevail.
And your steel finds home,
in the source of travail.
Crimson blood bleeds
from my breast unto you;
the heart's sap has its wish,
despite all that I do.

Have you ever died, still on your feet?
Did you lay your heart open?
Did it break at their feet?
Did they trample it down?
Did the hurt make you weak?
And how many days will you continue to weep?
Know your worth, and lift up your chin, look forward,
that's where you're going. Not where you've been.
Every step and every day, you, are further away.
From the pain.
But your mind won't let you rest, you see it again you feel the regret.
It dims our whole life, what life we have left.
It steals our dreams.
That's why we keep running... and if you keep looking forward... there will be another adventure worth living.
I have a new far away friend
I wish could live just round the bend
who's poems I find
so pleasant and kind
there aren't enough flowers to send
With the pen of a poet you write
as a message of hope in our plight
with beauty and grace
a gently left trace
to challenge a deeper insight
I imagine the way you would look
see you happiest writing a book
poetic rhymes
of places and times
and all of life's lessons you took
Our souls have been fed by a fire
and we share in a common desire
to have a true friend
for the ride to the end
of our goals as they raise ever higher
Though all I can see is your name
I still hear your voice just the same
it speaks to me dearly
and calls to me clearly
through poetry destined for fame
I'm blessed for my far away friend
who will never live just round the bend
for I see a smile
with poetic style
in each posted poem you send
In the world of the mountains you climb
thank you for taking the time
to lift up my soul
with renewed sense of whole
from your words that so cleverly rhyme
Thank you my friends.

¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ lying in my bed
I heard ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦¦¦¦ one solemn word ¦¦¦ said
A bird began to sing.
I heard a dog ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦
And a ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ cock;
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ It was five o'clock.
The ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ bird sang,
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦
The cock ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ had gone mad.
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ the dark skies,
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ cried "Look! Lift up your eyes!"
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ wind and wave;
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ cried out ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ "Be brave!"
The ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ market-carts,
The pounding of men's feet
Were drowned in song; ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦
The song was loud and sweet.
¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦

(Blackout of The Church-Bell by Elinor Wylie)
We’re born with a voice, a spirit, a name..
The heart holds a fire, each soul holds a claim.
No chains should be fastened, no silence imposed..
For freedom is ours, it cannot be closed.
The right to be sheltered, the right to be fed..
To live without terror, to dream without dread.
The right to speak truth when the powerful lie..
The right to a future where children don't cry..
Yet hatred still lingers, it poisons the air..
It whispers division, it teaches despair.
But peace is a seed.. though fragile, though small..
When planted in justice, it rises for all.
Lift up the weary, let mercy be shown..
No soul walks this earth on a journey alone.
When hands join in unity, when barriers fall..
The anthem of freedom unites great and small.
Let kindness be louder than cannons of war..
Let rights be the shelter we all can stand for.
For peace isn’t distant, it waits to increase..
The moment we choose it, humanity’s peace.
Lift up your heads, you gates, in one accord
so that the King of Glory may come in.
Who is the King of Glory? He is Lord
whose hands are clean whose heart is free from sin.
What kind of king would leave his glorious throne
to wear a crown of thorns upon his head?
Or give his life for those he called his own?
Yet we rejoice - he lives who once was dead!
All heaven's angels join the saints in songs
of worship for the One who conquered death.
'The tomb is empty', sing the blessed throngs -
the Spirit fills each lung with faithful breath.
Such faith is in the One who rose again...
I know that my Redeemer lives - amen!
Job 19:25 "For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth"
