Blackout Poetry

Definition

Blackout poetry is a type of poetry that is created by blacking-out or redacting previously written bodies of text or articles such as those found in newspapers, books, or magazines. Once most of the text is blacked-out on the page with a marker or Sharpie, the visible words remaining, when read, form a poem.
