Lift up your heads, you gates, in one accord
so that the King of Glory may come in.
Who is the King of Glory? He is Lord
whose hands are clean whose heart is free from sin.
What kind of king would leave his glorious throne
to wear a crown of thorns upon his head?
Or give his life for those he called his own?
Yet we rejoice - he lives who once was dead!
All heaven's angels join the saints in songs
of worship for the One who conquered death.
'The tomb is empty', sing the blessed throngs -
the Spirit fills each lung with faithful breath.
Such faith is in the One who rose again...
I know that my Redeemer lives - amen!
Job 19:25 "For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth"
