Their Love Had Turned Cold

They had moved in last May,
they were a weird couple from LA,
Mary the dancer and Jerry the singer...
cabaret music was a delight to their ear.

We met in the elevator around two,
and I welcomed them to the neighborhood;
they smiled, but they didn't hug as lovers do...
could it be that their love had turned cold?

I heard all of their conversations from the above floor,
Jerry told Mary to stop stumping,
" Easy on those steps...are you dancing,
or trying to wake up the poor guy down below? "

" I need to practice or I'll lose my job at The Coor...
how will we survive on one paycheck...eating peanuts? "
Mary hollered by making more noises on the wooden floor...
Jerry responded angrily, " Well, we'll need to make some cuts! "

Yesterday the noises got much louder, I woke up shaking,
thinking another violent earthquake had stroke...
glasses breaking while Lisa Minelli's, " Cabaret " was playing;
nothing fell off my shelves...was it mere luck?

I went straight to the shower to distract myself,
even in there there was some banging...it seemed like
a jealousy fight was going on, and too often I heard that offensive word!
The next day they apologized, telling me that their love had turned cold.

The Young Lovers From Verona

Their death could have been prevented if rivarly,
misunderstanding and hostility had not been there...
had Verona not become a battle ground for the gentry,
but unlikely comedy that makes us burst into laughter,
tragedy puts some sense into our foolish heads shunning this truth:
they didn't have to die uselessly in the prime of their youth!
O insensible people, mourn the young lovers from Verona with sympathy
to realize that love is unstoppable as the coming of dawn;
we can try to kill it with jealousy, envy, anger or even murder...
but what the outcome will be? Heartbreak and regret over
a disastrous event such as the one Shakespeare wrote in his teary,
dramatic play to warn us that it shouldn't be disapproved with a frown.

Peacefully sleep, o young lovers from Verona! Even this saddened poet will not forget...
how courageous and desperate you were to end your vibrant lives with that insane thought!

Finale

Decisions made precisely,

repeating the past

and all I can do is accept-

your gone,

you aren't with me

your better off now

and love can't give me-

an eighteenth chance.

I lost.

In a game of walking on water,

floating over fire,

I was untouched

and though I fell right onto the fire, I came out scar-free,

cause it was the way I thought it could be

and it stayed true.

So true, gullible behind stubbornness.

From the lie that fogged up the mirror,

from guilty acid leaking out the lids

still burn the counter,

steaming away the sympathy,

leaving pure emptiness, a cold breeze followed by a bolt-

so strong but not strong enough to equal the pain

this game of revenge came to your favor,

and I feel for you,

I feel the hurt you feel,

I've been there before, unable to ignore-

all those silly voices telling you lies,

the ones that ruin the mind, giving up faith, leaving you with but a floor to walk on,

and in the end

those voices are really fading.

The past creeps, holding on to a lingering moment, bringing it shooting through the
surface

unannounced.

You can't run from something deaf, but you can surely do it blind

The Romeo Gunner

They won’t stop
I mean my friends
May be, we won’t stop
Think that is better

But for my Gunner friend
Charming light-complexioned
Fine boy, we all know
A smooth talking orator
An Engineer with a rare wisdom
With a posh car to cruise
Heaven was let loose on them his preys
A Gunner indeed,
Lost count of his prey cousins.

Cock barely crows
Before he landed on this day
Defying the heavy down pour
To come to a friend slaughter-alter
Smiling radiantly . . . un-endlessly
Suddenly became nice unusually
Why? Oh! He came for his prey cousin
She it who is at a friend’s wedlock.

His prey cousin whose name I know not
For her, he salivate . . . savor to Romeo
But he already has a Juliet
The one he ringed five moons ago
A dark-complexioned Queen
He ignited with a protruding belly.

Oh! On this day for the prey
He looked sportingly smart
In a Jean, T-shirt and a fez cap
He waited endlessly for his cousin.

Feigning to be calm
But obviously not cool
Despite heavy clatter of water above
For he desires desperately
To run gun shot on his cousin
What kind of cousin is this?

He paces round the Abattoir room
As her voice echoes in his ear
“I’m sorry, I’m coming
Please, wait for me love
I’m still in the wedding”.

Perturbed, yet pretends not disturbed
For there was no sight of her
He hissed countlessly

It was five hours past noon
Before I yawned twice
Time ran off me like a wild fire
Darkness took over the firmament
It dawned on the Gunner
No cousin prey to gun down today
A brighter day for the potbelly Juliet
It was a bad day for the Romeo Gunner.

The Waves

We walk along the shore together.
We stop, and look out upon the sea.
Words come to the surface,
and sink again,
unspoken.

You hold my hand,
and my heart hears the sound of music...
all around,
with no one nearby at all,
but the call of the seagulls in the distance.

The mermaids laugh watching us.
They know nothing of true love,
and yet pray they may someday,
touch the land,
and hear a band...
and then stand.

The dolphins swim by,
on their way to tomorrow.
They tease us, and please us
with their antics.

You laugh and break the silence between us,
the timbre, the resonance...
like a thousand pieces of fine glass,
raining down from the heavens
and changing the light of the rainbow
it created as it glanced off the surface
of each individual piece shaped
by the moment,
that can never be
repeated.

My soul is close to God,
when I am near to you.
He gave you to me,
so I would be complete.

I am on my knees
asking...
please...
stay a while,
stay as long as you can,
and take my hand,
into forever.

The Highland Princess
Sails again
Its captain and dove
To the Mediterranean

Now so much in love
To an island they go
To celebrate their engagement
For their love truly flows

This archipelago of seven
In this sea of blue
Aboard our babe
As we enjoy the views

Marina we berth
Settle in for the night
For tomorrow, our interests
Its historic sights

Early start
To the blue lagoon
For in the evening
We will love in tune

History surrounds
Every where we go
In its harbours and towns
Evidence shows

This island of class
With it's World Heritage sights
The Megalithic Temples
Still stand upright

These icons of age
To this island their worth
They are the oldest free standing structures
On this planet Earth

As the evening draws in
We head back to our yacht
To absorb our day
And what Malta has taught

Dinner and drinks
As we settle down
In comfy pose
Naked, but gowned

I take the hand
Of my golden dove
As we know in our eyes
Our evening of love

To our cabin we go
As our gowns are thrown
This captain and dove
Whose love keeps growing

Naked we fall
On our heavenly bed
Spooned together
To be sexually fed

Our bodies merge
As i grow inside
This gyrating two
Flowing with the tide

As i caress my dove
Her body and breasts
Nibbling her nape
In wanting zest

Our souls release
Potion so pure
Our bonding engagement
For future, sure

In the morning we awake
To the sounds of life
On our next voyage
She will be my wife

Just Someone To Hold

Someone to hold, is that not really your true desire
seeing the title of this poem, you came to inquire
subconsciously you need to have, an outlet to deal
emptiness confines you, refusing to accept it's real

Closing your eyes, and trying to do your very best
hoping to get a handle, on the level of your stress
but your attempts fail, forcing you to admit defeat
loneliness and depression, pounding your heartbeat

You speak with your friend, in whom you trust
seeing you're desperate, she's coming she must
a half hour passes, standing now by your side
crying to her your woes, with nothing to hide

Your chance for true love, how you felt it so close
naivety and desperation, you took a double dose
now he is gone, these days seem to pass as years
a heart so crushed, yielding her flow of wet tears

What you are left with, a pain so endlessly deep
there is no escape, but counting sheep in your sleep
while you paid a price that was ever so steep
realizing your only friend is the hope you keep

Tomorrow will yet burn with a special, warm light
new hope will bring with it a chance to make right
happiness will yet reign, banning sadness out of sight
that someone special, forever to hold you tight

A loving look, accompanying that warm embrace
a way into his heart, finally finding your true place
bound with a oneness that only loving hearts could feel
no longer asking, because you know, you just know it's real

Our Best Friend

the blood is pounding in my ears,
The sounds of the cafeteria are utterly drowned out.
Her round, pink lips, mouthing obscenities at me
As her fists rain down on my face and chest,
Legs straddle me, scabbed knees on broken tile.

I should be in pain,
But I am elated, finally, she touches me.

Her short red and brown hair is matted against
Her face. Salty sweat and tears trickle onto my shirt.
The blood from my broken nose and busted lips
Cover her blouse.

I am at home with her pain-other students, not
Understanding, gather around our scene. Hateful,
Piercing blue eyes hidden behind a sheen of tears.

I have long since let her vent, shaking
She falls forward, her arms around my neck.

Carrots and Grilled cheese scattered
Around the dodge ball line, where our
Bodies lay still. She sobs.

My eyes swell, a reddish pink that will darken
To lavender, a mouth full of copper blood is what
I deserve. Hot, sticky fluids soaked clothes

Like a feverish dream, our bodies convulse;
Memories like a highlight reel flash as a custodians
Calloused hands bring a mop and bucket.
Blood pools around, a thick aroma wafts into hearts.

I didn’t mean to hurt her, I shouldn’t
Have said what I said. He was a fool,
He never loved you.
He was our best friend

Her Ode to Joy, my partner in crime,
A hero to me, her first crush.

There’s a surprise in all flesh
And I hope one day she finds it.

Premium Member Charm and the Inner Eternal

My darling girl
As i touch your face
Your curvy body
Graced with lace

From my chair
At the window you stand
Sun through the lace
Your golden hair grand

As i call you to me
And you take my hand
As you sit astride me
Woman and man

Our bodies ignite
As we absorb our souls
Frenchly we share
Our love soup bowl

Inner explosions
Bring joys and sighs
Ultimate mix
Orgasmic cries

Passions slow
As our hands control
Our quivering bodies
In wandering stroll

We lie together
As i say these words
I whisper in your ear
What needs to be heard

Caressing of you
Attracts my soul
Tender hugs
Intimate goal
Eternally
