The She General

The She General
Arabic Poem By: Fayez Al-Haddad
Translation into English By:
Inaam Al-Hashimi (Gold_N_Silk)
===================

I beg your passion, O General of Love!
Grant me leave to say
Some of the divine revelation of love,
Though I don’t know but the opening verse,
Your endless opening,
To recite for your eyes the glory of what God loves;
As there is no peace,
When love is but messages
Akin to caged birds.
How could I conquer your heart
with my weary army,
When you break into my kingdom,
Heavily armed with the power of women?
Have mercy upon a captured Bedouin,
Who has nothing,
Save the clemency of your eyelashes
in the Holy Spear!

Glory!
O you! One with the solemn mouth
That's colored with music,
O you! Lung of water,
That's thirsty in me,
O you! One with the beauty mark
And anklet wings;
Prophetess of promised kisses!
Sing what you wish of fancy,
And recite what your generous mouth lets out
Of precious hymns;
Trench me with the downpour of your honey,
As beyond your mouth, there is no spring,
But the “Well of Joseph” and the drought;
And beyond your lips, earthquakes trellis
In the dribbles of tales.

I tremor like the heart of a cold homer,
While the warmth lies in your chest a caldron;
Is it fear? Or is it love? Or,
Is it hate in what you know?
Hate me as much as there is love in hate!
My heart thinks no more
of the taste of touches,
And adoration forgot to cheer in the pottery jars.
Name it as you wish,
but I am a heart fluttering under your wing..
Where no limb could vie for
its tenderness of yearning.

Draw closer to me,
But I fear for your clothes
From the flames of my narcissism;
And you know me:
I am aroused by your mere image,
How would meeting you, face to face, bear me?
Be the hot coffee,
For me to be shattered
On the rim of your cup,
As multiple mouths,
Breath of cups, and smoke pipes;
As I am
Kisses,
Moans,
Songs,
And rendezvous;

And....
I do not wait!

In the cathedral of my thoughts, words rise like incense smoke towards the vaults of the unknown,
And I, a pilgrim through the labyrinth of my own consciousness, seek to catch moonbeams in a net, to weave from them the mantle of the ineffable.
Ancestral voices resound from the depths, speaking of art that conquers time and space,
I let myself be carried by the wave of verses, like an angel's feather in the divine wind, floating beyond the boundaries of nature.
I am no longer myself, but the cosmic eye that sees, the universal ear that hears, the eternal heart that feels,
The veil of Maya melts away, worldly tales scatter in the wind, leaving only the pure state, the sacred essence of living.
I read poetry and become poetry, the analytical mind melts like candle wax before the divine flame,
Only I and the primordial Word remain, in a cosmic dance, in a mystical communion with hidden meanings.
I am passive and awake, like a holy lake reflecting the stars, yet ready to receive divine revelation,
I listen to the echoes of words in the caves of my soul, feeling their vibration in every atom of my being.
I wait with humility for the poem to find me, to inhabit me, to become my temple and altar,
I am a seeker of supreme truth who has abandoned his ego at the gates of poetic paradise.
I open like a chakra to the touch of cosmic energy, receiving epiphanies and ecstasies as celestial gifts,
In this openness, the silence in words finds its echo in the eternal silence deep within my being.
I am "I am," my divine essence, beyond the veil of illusion, beyond ephemeral masks and roles,
Words are merely sacred mantras, keys that unlock the gates of perception in the sanctuary of the reader's heart.
And thus, in the uninterrupted flow of divine consciousness, poetry and poet merge into the primordial One,
And the melancholic magic of existence is born from the cosmic dance between sound and silence, between form and void.

Premium Member The Gift of Divine Revelation - 2 Timothy 3: 10-17

It's an amazing thing that I have
the word of the eternal God in my hand
this is indeed divine revelation
my faith in God on this I stand

God through this word keeps me true
having learned the holy scriptures so sound
firmly believing all it has revealed
continuing to believe doctrine to ground

My life's been changed by God's word
having now a righteousness not my own
one by faith dwelling in Jesus Christ
the word itself truly has been sown

The grace of God is my anchor
no matter the struggles life brings
I know HIs grace is always sufficient
flying down to lift me on spirit wings

Faith in God brings real transformation
changing one's heart to love what God loves
the word of God brings faith to one's soul
fitting so well into our spiritual gloves

("You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.")

Something Different This Time

Something different happened this time
on this year's Women's Day
We worshipped, we praised and sang songs
as the Holy Spirit in us moved and swayed

Today we have our 1st Black female VP
and soon a Supreme Court Justice as well
Something different is happening in America
as the sovereign spirit of the Lord now swells

Now Hannah couldn't bear a child
and Peninnah mocked her infertility
But Hannah kept on praying to God
in spite of all the animosity
A demonic triangulation was choking Hannah
and causing her much despair
Between the devil, Peninnah and all the hate
Hannah couldn't wait to get out of there

When demonic agitation and aggravation show up
that's when as Black women we must unify
As there's nothing we can't accomplish
if we stand together and work side by side
Yes we know it all begins at home
and by the words that we do speak
But something different can come about
if divine revelation and conversation is what we now seek

As it will change our outlook as well
as our perspective and perception in this life
No we won't take flight but stay and fight
against the contempt, the hate and the strife
And no we can't let rejection, disrespect
and negative attitudes
Steal our joy, damage and destroy
our godly altitudes

Something different can happen this time
If we simply to God just pray
And allow the sovereignty of God
to simply have its way

So fight thru your tears while living under the influence of the spirit
and don't ever waste your words
Know in your heart that something different will happen this time
when your prayers to God are acknowledged and heard

Premium Member In the twilight of existence, as all closes like a withered flower

In the twilight of existence, as all closes like a withered flower,
Monotony extends its tentacles over hearts, stores, and truths,
Eyes blind to reality, souls struggle within their own darkness,
And people, drunk on their own breath, drown in valueless systems.
They do not grow but decay, their souls decompose in deafening silence,
Eaten by invisible worms while they proclaim they truly live,
Clinking empty glasses, scattering senseless words into the wind of indifference,
Weaving spider webs called relationships, where they ensnare themselves, unaware.
I, equally lost but thirsty for mystery, feed on enigmas,
Day and night, a feast of the unknown becomes my daily bread,
For without it, I would lose myself in the majority, becoming mere propaganda,
A stubborn heart, a rigid mind, an ironic character in an absurd story.
I seek real connections in the labyrinth of life, but my gaze strays in wrong directions,
Searching correctly but looking wrongly, not realizing what I seek is already mine,
Waiting only to be discovered, like a treasure hidden in the depths of my being,
An endless adventure for my troubled heart, a perpetual and intimate mystery.
Who would have thought that everything I sought all my life was already in my possession?
Patiently waiting to be seen, felt, lived with the intensity of a divine revelation,
While the world closes, I open towards the infinity within me,
Discovering that the ultimate mystery is my very existence, an eternal and fascinating paradox.

Premium Member The path of divine revelation, often crowned by fall

The path of divine revelation, often crowned by fall,
When from the azure angels detach, blinded by a false light,
And in their plummet, lose the horizon, lose the sun and the moon,
While birds in black garb, tear their leaden cloak and heart.
This corner of the world, once a wandering Garden of Eden,
Holds in its bosom soulful trunks, with leaves forgotten by the sun,
Witches dressed in veils of mourning and silence,
In the weeping eye of the verse, hope is but a sliver of mystery.
The hourglass of time momentarily pauses its kiss with eternity,
Like a painting torn from the dreams of an apocalyptic reality,
It traveled through centuries of embers and ice, of devastation and creation,
And arrived with an hour missing for eternity, at gates guarded by nothing.
The luminaries of the celestial vault, now with eyes sullied by fog,
No longer shepherd constellations, no longer drive the chariot of fire,
Only the night, a gray cloak covering the unknown,
Rocking the ravens in vast swirls, carried by a silent wind.
Disciples of the earth, rare shadows, often scared or too taciturn,
Heart clad in shells of fear and garments frozen by resignation,
Have not discerned that in the echo of silences, only the Unfathomable Voice is the golden thread,
The only one that discreetly weaves the path endowed with wings, leading to divine heights.

In Realms of Heaven New Hope Resides

In realms of heaven, new hope resides,
Declare to unfold the new season's tide.
Face the break of dawn's gentle ray,
As sunlight brings hope every new day.

Choose to redeem each precious hour,
For time, is a cyclic grand tour.
Circumspectly tread the path ahead,
Spend time with the Maker, where visions are fed.

Amidst the chaos, seek your promised land,
For hidden therein lies the Divine hand.
Lean on faith, venture through destiny’s door,
Discover treasures untold, now and forevermore.

In courts of heaven decrees are given,
Accordingly universe weaves its intricate pattern.
Ascend those portals, where miracles happen,
See life puzzle pieces align with divine revelation.
.
Behold the coat, crafted with multicolors bold,
Endowed with wisdom, a tale that will unfold.
Each stitch, a stroke of divine wonder,
A tapestry of life, a yearly cycle of wonder.

The best, dear saint, waits just beyond your sight,
A future blessed with mementos pure and bright.
So let your spirit soar, embrace the unknown,
For the door ahead is your harvest to gain.

Premium Member Life On Earth Matters Not

When my life was spent
I lay on my death bed,
All bent and in torment
Wondering about where shall I be led?

I was scared,
The truth was now ready to be bared
Is there life after death,
Is hell there where I shall now give my worth?

It came, like a flash of lightning
I never felt any painful burning
I just closed my eyes
And opened them to new skies

He was there, a fair knight
He looked at me with expectation
My own spirit was shining so bright
I feel my heart melting, faced with this divine revelation

It was a world so still
Yet, I could not refrain myself from feeling a thrill
I was with God
I was, at last, with the leader of the herd!

A world it is, ruled by eternity,
It is there, a sanctity
Peace prevails
The Lord, for such, entails!

It matters not, he said
If you believe your life was not lived
Life on Earth is a temporary phase
Meant to shower you with false praise

Those who get attached to its false vision
Keep returning to its endless illusion
Be calm, be happy, here, you shall be free
Free to be as you do deem yourself to be!
