Premium Member Wish Upon a Star

Of energy that’s sent by you,
’Tis more than likely none gets through.
And when you wish upon a star,
The odds, more likely, aren’t than are.
And when you try to bring good luck,
things are as apt to run amok.
Enlist a specter of the dead?
Some things are better left unsaid.

It seems to me your influence
Possesses slight incongruence
When seeking on behalf of me;
Your means lack certain agency.
For energy and wish and chance,
Invoking spirits from a trance,
At risk of repeat, I must stress,
Seem not a pathway for success.

The wish and energetic bits
Suggest a certain loss of wits;
For undirected in the void,
What means is it they might employ
To guide the path which they traverse
and not attenuate or worse?

Contacting spirits of the dead
Who, when alive, unlikely led
You to believe all-knowing kin
Who never returned calls back then
Would suddenly then change their mind,
Give answer and be able to
Fulfill requests thus made by you?

Now it might really make you laugh
That I would pray on your behalf;
But channeling a beam at you
Just gives me migraines ere it’s through.
And if I tried to bring you luck,
The obvious by which I’m struck
Is when the coin shows tails, not heads,
Did my wish bring you ill instead?

At least the target for my prayer:
An all-wise IS who’s everywhere.
Can I aim true? I have a shot,
For there is nowhere He is not.
And further, He inclines His ear,
Assures us that our thoughts are clear
Received by Him, and better still,
He carries out when in His will.
Can He accomplish what I ask?
The universe: a simple task.

So humor me, I’ll pray for you
And leave to Him to see it through;
At worst, it hurtles to the void,
The gods, remaining unannoyed,
but that just causes inward groan
At thoughts of whether we’re alone…

So ponder if it could be true:
The Infinite considers you?
For that’s an elevated thought
that lands you in a bigger plot
eliminating luck and chance
Or raising spirits in a trance:
A God who knew you in advance
And wants to be with you.

Premium Member Holding Back Tears

Why did you retain your tears hidden?
Will the issues cease after they are bound?
Are the fountains close to stale down?
Or has your whole life been destroyed?

What fulfills your happiness every day?
For all the suffering you've endured.
Crying for the sake of making others cry.
You're pretending on the inside, indeed.

Are you aware of other people's misery
and wish to attenuate their sadness?
It's a considerable measure of certainty.
You acquire if you discover happiness.

Will you be able to overcome this adversity?
The most unbearable of all was the sorrow.
Endeavoring to climb a mountain endlessly.
To forestall a potential deadly stumble hallow.

I believe you must start working forward.
After seeing others achieve greater success.
Every other fresh morning brings a reward.
As well as a willingness to energize and bless.

Consider putting on your optimal performance.
Never lose hope, even if your life is near its final.
An excess void will never aid in one's ascendance.
All you can do is act with sapience and be helpful.

The Scar

—A Cosmography of Wound—

How deep the scar, where starry measures cease,
And sable gulfs unhouse their hoarded fire;
Where suns attenuate, bereft of peace,
And bleed through night the embers of desire;
Each constellation sheds its given name,
And argent heavens fracture into me;
The Milky Way unthreads its vestal flame,
Till blood becomes its dark infinity.
Then bends the Sun, drawn inward through my scar,
Its aureate empire yielding to the night;
Whilst Time lets fall its centuries afar,
And deathless darkness drinks the last of light.
Yet one red pulse persists beneath the scar:
I am the wound by which they learn how far.

My Prayers Never Cease Be

My soul at dawn awake
A magic light into my heart breaks
Solitary whispers shivering in awe
Towards the Infinite my whole upraised
Allah is the greatest.
A frisson of wonderment swamping to the core
Powerless and unknowledgeable
A humble human soul
In Your glorious presence
Bare is my essence
Supplicating for a divine guidance
Confessing my sins
Beseeching forgiveness.
On a draining inner journey
Struggling with drifts
Allah, The Al-Mighty
Your grace and mercy I implore
Helpless, gasping for assistance.
Reverent murmuring words bending down
Divine favour through me rippling.
On my knees, submissive to God’s ordainment
Allah,
Grant me, pardon me, protect me, strengthen me.
Grateful to You God
Never cease be
Thankful for the Love, Beauty, Grace
For Peace and Faith
Grateful for all the blessings
Never cease be .
To Your divine power I bow low
On the ground myself I prostrate
Worshipful tears bursting into invocations.
My heart I raise
My God I praise
My prayers You hear
My fears You attenuate
From wrongdoing You make me free
Fountains of grace cleanse all evil out of me.
Allah is the greatest
My prayers never cease be.

Premium Member If Only Now, As Then

Then ...
Where were you?
Don't you know how diligently I looked ...
How I begged for fate to pity me?

Every face, every curve, every eye glint and crimped grin
I sought for that spark ... that flicker
That attenuate shimmer to the eye that would pull me IN
Deep and close and warm

Every laugh or whisper that tickled my ear
I listened, rapt ... examined, intently
For the precise affect that bespoke a rarity, pure
For the musical tone that breathed to me a song of fire

That stoked my ambition with a hunger, hot
And a craving, cold ... and keen
How many, the gazes measured and met?
Countless, the unspoken prayers for the next lover

To hold that sublime, laughing magic
That unique knowledge of what was but silliness to others
Those tiny, secret, utterly romantic musings
That ever spun in my mind and passions

Those sexy things I wrote with my fingertips, (in cursive)
On every warm surface of moonlight-swathed skin
That swam the sheets with me at night
In vain pursuit of that most precious and elusive ...

Soul mate.
Where ... then?
Now ...
In a place where it can NEVER be

You stand before me
Perfectly imperfect ... in all the ways that define me
In every aspect that I can imagine
Or that I have ever dreamed and hoped

You. Are. The. One.
Yet you are the one thing that dashes all
That plunges my conceptions to the rocks
And turns true love to hopelessness

Oh, how I wish I'd known you
Then ... when I was young
For now you are the one thing I can not accept ...
The only thing that could now crush me

Another's.

Ode To Hiromita

Hiromita your domicile lies in wait
Make haste to your earthly gate
Earth shakes bold; steady your
estate
Ocean's waves, briny stew doth
impregnate
Shelter your crops; your chicken
coop insulate
Another tremor, with calamity
don't equate
With phosphorous-laden breezes
your senses fondly relate
With a steady compass, another
storm you'll navigate
Your indestructible hearth is
melded to malleable plate
Many times battered; but never
did obliterate
Your parents bid adieu, but you
must wait
Dispensing the stores as an
efficient magnate
Your spindly wife shares your
passive fate
No time her tendered fealty to
contemplate
With due speed she puts away
each sack, crate
Then both ascending to the upper
floor the tides to mitigate
Home buttressed; hopes, dreams
still ingratiate
Looking windoward, a dark,
towering mass doth peril insinuate
You turn inward hoping your fears
to attenuate
The merciless surge rolls; you
clasp hands the force to abrogate
The black debris wave slams your
home, the pummeled timbers
capitulate
Your filial bond doth sever; your
domesticated world annihilate

her gracile cancer ridden body disturbed soul shores, re-assimilating into ether
simultaneously
embodied light attenuated as rain sleets soaked washing trauma embedded

shattered dreams attenuated floorboards, oregons shivering sunlight through colourful veils
meanwhile
gracile human pendants attenuated threads of Leo’s mane, gently swaying in cool breeze
