once upon a time

What if I read to you a story Starting

once upon a time

And you realised that is was your

Life spelt out on every Line.

Would you hear my voice and Wonder as it

Brushed across each word and pray my Arms have the strength to hold the truth About your world

would your view on life be different and would it shock you most to find that

the things you thought defined you could be

Summed up in just two lines and all the

Ones you took for granted the ins and outs of

Everyday play a bigger part in who you are

Then you ever dared to say would you wonder

At the pages left and all the places that they could lead then vow to make

each moment one that you’d be very proud to read because there is the story

of your life but its you who holds the pen and i hope you fill the pages right

before you reach the

end

I Dream of Things

"I dreamt, I was a butterfly or was I, a butterfly dreaming..."

Delightful is the way I see, the people and places ahead of me.
All shapes and colors, sounds and tastes, it truly is enrapturing.
Imagine a place where waterfalls fly, the cities and towns made of silver.
A place where music fills body and soul. Enchanted and enchanting.

I yearn for a place where the land is whole, beautiful and glowing with life. I see such
places in my dreams.
People know love, and value it so. They see with their hearts, and give with their soul.
Such is my fascination.

Imagine a lake with light blue waters. Fishes of colors not meant to be, like bright red,
royal blue, and emerald green. Imagine how the sun shines on the lake, the fish shining
like jewels.
such beauty makes me crow, it's hypnotic, entrancing.

Captivating are my dreams. The sights, the sounds, the places, the scenery. Such
places make my heart feel at home. But for now, I'll have to keep dreaming.

Premium Member Tonight I Will Dream

Tonight I will dream,
of a beautiful cake with ice cream.
I hope there will be many gifts each with a card,
maybe enough to fill my backyard.
Under glistening skies of blue,
yellow flowers will show through.
Magical swirls on my cake,
like beautiful colors from the lake.
Shining gold and blue gift bags,
make me want to yell and raise a flag.
Tomorrow is my birthday, only white clouds no gray.

Premium Member Higher Expectations

Let's reflect on
being mortal, and spiritual beings.
Between the pain and confusion
life offers, and the finality of death:
we find faith, hope, trust, and love.
We're endowed with emotions, consciousness,
and a conscience;
which fuels the human heart:
buttressing the poorest foundations,
to carry the weight
of higher expectations.
Miracles only happen
to those who believe in miracles.
Looking back in time:
often shows us a distorted image of reality:
a collection of brutal truths and outright lies,
filtered through the passage of time.
And while bigotry cannot erase yesterday's shadow,
it can alter tomorrows',
by penciling in the shadows of today.
History's jagged edges
cut as deeply as any knife;
draining the heart of love,
and the soul of hope.
Skin color is a human obsession:
God is color-blind,
as is Man's best friend: the dog!

Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope
Struggling to heed the voice of our conscience
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke

Flame of desire within, spews toxic smoke
Concealing innate self-luminescence
Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope

Blinded by delusion, in darkness grope
Looking at divine love impulse askance
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke

Fierce winds blow; we are unable to cope
On knife’s edge, head and heart try to balance
Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope

Floundering thus, on a slippery slope
Gods love and egos urge at divergence
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke

Gods love and light beckons, giving souls hope
Requiring our wholehearted acceptance
Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke

Premium Member Piercing Pain

Gently caressing the air with long branches
Giving hope to the hand of the Creator
Gliding gently past dreadful avalanches

Emerald pine, white birch and trees much greater
Enlighten hearts who long for the earth’s insights
Encouraging leaves who fall a bit later

Sunshine dawns to touch the earth with tender lights
Sinking into the rich, dark earth filled with shame
Singing to dark night for the forest’s last rites

Without remorse, this earth we will curse and maim
Wishing for the truth of silent salvation
Warming the heart of the gentle stream’s proclaim

How can we survive this sad, wild damnation?
Hoping we can heal this land called creation!

O, Fluff, Fizz, Ice-Truffles and Bandalees

O! FLUFF! FIZZ! ICE-TRUFFLES and BANDALEES!
Can't see the forest, for the snow on trees!
Where every gossamer veil of snow delights
And every string of bulbs mimics Heav'n's Lights!
O! TRUE! the tales of gnomes and Ice-Elves are!
(I fear some fool will catch one in a jar
and so, I've held my Peace on this -- so far)
But NOW, I must speak out, you see... on par
With Ancient Wisdom are the Fairy Stories,
Chuck full of Angels, dwarves... filled with the Glories
Of... Champions, Magicians of Renown...
Of tiny folk, who live in Tinytown…
Of Reprimands for those who trouble Nature
(Or use JUST Scientific Nomenclature).
REBUKE! O, WISE! The Unbelievers, ALL!
Who LAUGH at gnolls and trolls, both great, and small!
For He that trusts not, sews with poison thread,
That knots Hope; leaves Imagination dead.

Greatfullness

Full of great is God's power and full of nothing is my power...I seem to cower away from the light
Empower me...for I'm nervous to step forward and stand up for what is right
I'm not trying to be rude; Lord, give me a big heart of hopeful desire
I'm attempting to be selfless...but I'm such a filthy mess of distress
Why am I regretting this loss of connection of hope?
Why do I sit here without friends and mope?
Losing things and losing my mind
I don't know me sometimes, I hope you don't mind - let me unwind, for I'm blind and falling behind
Mighty love from up above
Drench me, soak me...now, I'm a silky white dove
My saving power, my Rock, where art thou?
My helping hand only burned your wounds further - ow!
Now, my long lost soul takes a bow
Takes a bow to God's Holy Spirit
Shower me with every cure-like character that's good and legit
I owe my praise to You alone
I need You to be my backbone...at least I'm not on my own
Your watchful care puts me in awe
I smile away the gray of today and I helplessly gnaw
On what pulls me down...
Wandering all around town
I can't let go of things I hold on to...so hopelessly,
So worthless as can be
You were that someone I relied on...now, it's God and His sunny son
Here comes a frown and heartless comments shoot me like a gun
Foes of mine are way too many to count on my toes
Feeling like an infant in an adult's body - facing those bittersweet highs and lows
Full of great is God's Word and full of foolishness is my weaknesses and strengths...I run away from Satan's sly nature
I'm insecure, trying and trying to find a cure, sweating it time and time again - I'll refrain from driving everyone insane and abide by Your side

Premium Member I Hope This Gives You a Good Hearty Laugh

I thought it was kind of romantic
I wasn't being a fanatic
I pulled it out in the cold
You thought that was a bit bold
I wrote it in the snow about you and me
How much I love you I wrote it with my pee

I almost froze it off - it and my left ball
Then you hurt me when you said it was too small
It's like out of the pool
It follows the same rule
Not that I expected you to drool
But you didn't need to be cruel

Now I pull it out again and what I write
Your not going to like - it might cause a fight
Not just what it says about you that is quite biting
But the fact it was your sister who did the writing

Premium Member Heaven's Doorway

This long journey has lasted a lifetime.
And I’ve stopped many times on the way.
Taken detours I’m not very proud of.
Some that led me a little astray.

Now my travels have all been concluded.
I have finally reached the last door.
Will my spirit be cleansed as I enter?
Like the ocean waves clean up the shore.

There’s a peacefulness floating around me.
A strange mist that obscures a clear view.
And a light up ahead shining toward to me.
Like a signal that’s coaxing me through.

There’s a warmth that surrounds me so sweetly.
And it’s lifting me close to the light.
I am not really sure how I know it.
But I feel I will soon be all right.

While I stand to be judged for my actions.
I recall all the good and the bad.
All the love that I gave and was given.
Every sorrow that I ever had.

Will I be reunited with loved ones?
Are they waiting on the other side?
Do they know that I’m coming to join them?
For this final and ultimate ride.
