Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope
Struggling to heed the voice of our conscience
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke
Flame of desire within, spews toxic smoke
Concealing innate self-luminescence
Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope
Blinded by delusion, in darkness grope
Looking at divine love impulse askance
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke
Fierce winds blow; we are unable to cope
On knife’s edge, head and heart try to balance
Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope
Floundering thus, on a slippery slope
Gods love and egos urge at divergence
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke
Gods love and light beckons, giving souls hope
Requiring our wholehearted acceptance
Moment to moment, we walk the tightrope
We search for that bliss, of which scriptures spoke
