Ode To My Kittens

Ode To My Kittens
My 3 cutest Little Kittens went missing on my birthday in May
And I haven't seeing them since.
That Morning I came outside, yearning for their usual greeting.
But they wee nowhere in sight.
Orangee, a pretty one I called Patricee, and a spotted white one I called Whitee.
My lonely heart overflowed with share love for them.
Now I am somewhat heartbroken.
Dear Lord Please send me another Litle Kitten to soothe my lost soul.

Guardian

Litle girl,
I remember being your lost father,
lives tend to coalesce,
curse or bless.

I may have been the mother of your mother,
reincarnation and karma,
point to where they are most needed.

For the rest of my life,
or for another millennium,
you will always be -
my little girl,
or my long-lost son.

An unknown guardian
found me looking for you,
then led me away,
to be a prodigal
always returning
from one paradox or another.

Time is a footprint,
on a windblown sea,
seeds grow,
wherever the Universe
plants them.

Only a Litle Request

Please, leave me alone with my tears
but while leaving, take away my fears

I Hope For the Best

They are still fighting in the Mideast
Jews killing Arabs and Arabs killing Jews
Civil wars in Yemen and Syria
lead to the death of children
Will out poems change people's hearts?
Let us pray they do
A litle optimism
is what is needed
by all of us versifiers
We must do our best to help create
paths to peace in the world
It is vital!

A Little Cloud Said Rain

A LITLE CLOUD SAID RAIN
TO A TINY EARTH SO DRY
A PRECIOUS SEED HEARD SPROUT
FROM A SUN SO HIGH
UNTIL A LOVELY FLOWER GREW
AND SOON BEGAN TO BLOOM
AND THAT'S THE WAY I'D HAVE TO SAY
GOD GIVES THE EARTH PERFUME

SO WHEN LOVING COMES A KOCKING
YOU'D BETTER LET HER IN
YOU'D BETTER LET HER IN
CAUSE SHE MIGHT NOT COME AGAIN
THAT'S WHY IT'S DISCONCERTING
DOWN RIGHT UNFAIR
THAT OUT OF MANY
THERE'S HARDLY ANY
ONES WHO REALLY CARE

A HANDSOME MAN SAID LOVE
TO A LOVELY GIRL SO SHY
ANOTHER LIFE BEGAN FROM
ANOTHER SOURCE ON HIGH
AND WE'RE ALL FLOWER CHILDREN
LIVES OF EVERY HUE
APPEAR THE LITTLE BOY IN ME
AND THE LITTLE GIRL IN YOU

SO WHEN LOVING COMES A KNOCKING
BETTER LET HER IN
BETTER LET HER IN
CAUSE SHE MIGHT NEVER COME AGAIN
THROUGH STORMS OR SUNNY WEATHER
ENJOY LIFE'S GAME
NO ENDEAVOR LASTS FOREVER
BUT LOVE ALWAYS REMAINS

A Litle List

A LITTLE LIST
I went to the grocery store
Taking a short little list,
Only four items were needed,
Hoping there's nothing I’d missed.

This should be just a quick trip,
With such a short list to take,
The few things I needed to buy
Was for a cake I intended to bake.

Once in the store for groceries,
They'd changed everything around,
Flour was always in aisle twelve,
Now in aisle eight it was found.

Sugar for cake, being necessary,
Finally located in aisle fifteen,
Walking down another aisle,
Chocolate was clearly seen.

I couldn’t resist the temptation,
The store had put in my way,
Chocolate was on a great special,
It was all half price on that day.

My little list became larger
With other specials to buy,
Demonstrators were cooking
Some different foods to try.

After two hours of shopping
Thought all on my list, plus more.
The cake I never got to bake,
I forgot to get eggs from the store.

It was only a little list

Tearsandtissues

Vrrrrrrrh Paah!
Speading Cars.
Kloooom Crunchy,
Leaves and Wine.
Blink, I'm in Tears and Tissues!

I had fun, life and the world on my palm.
I have done crime, theft with money on my mind.
But now life is scary with a gun on my hand.
And litle by litle, I'v been pushing my life to an
 edge.
Again Blink, I'm in Tears and Tissues at the end.

Life is moving fast, Like speading clouds.
I wish I had a Spouse,Who Shouts and Spouts!
God can you take me out now, I've seen the rout?
I'm on my knees, hear me out, I'm crying out Loud!
I plead to not grieve in Tears and Tissues when I Blink again My God!

My Litle Angel

I loved her
That sad little angel
With her broken smile,
And her tattered wings.

She sat there
Mascara streaking away
From eyes like glowing embers,
As she watched him leave.

She turned to me
Pleading me to stay
Her slight hands grasping mine,
Pulling me under.

I followed her
Down the hallway
Into her dim bedroom,
Only then she kissed me.

Poetry Soup

A litle hint of you
A little hint of me
A community that creates a wonderful recipe

recipes of friendships
recipes of love
recipes of healing and comfort
sent From God above

recipes of togetherness and of unity too
may God continue to keep on blessing you

recipes of friendships
recipes of love
recipes of healing and comfort
sent From God above

we don't need to add a little sugar
we don't need to add a little spice
your the ones that write
the recipes that sounds so nice

recipes of friendships
recipes of love
recipes of healing and comfort
sent From God above

poetry soup isn't just any kind of soup
it's more like a fine stew
with a little hint of me
and a little hint of you

Why I Am

i am me
i am mother, daughter, lover but i want to tell you why
why i am this way

i was a lost little girl wanting
i was a scared litle girl crying
a question mark upon my chest
always wondering why

where did you go
why did you leave
have you never loved
do you know how to stay

safety and security only a fleeting fantasy

Lucky Escape

-
I stood in the door way of this cinema town
A punch to my head and a fall to the ground

Staggered back up to my feet in a flash
A black tooth sheep herder stared back in a dash

Dressed like a tramp in wellington heel
The manure had a stench and litle appeal

I moved down the hill as another punch came out
Some traveller girls screamed and did shout

I turned in a temper a boot to his frame
Crumpled below but nothing would tame

Got up once again and I asked for the law
Came at me and dived I pucnhed his red jaw
-

Then head locked this idiot and dragged him to toilet
A public amenity I just tried to foil it

Round by the sink and taps hit his head
and dragged him back out as the blood ran quite red

Then he cried solefully and said dont you know
A bag on his side he decided to show.

I said I knew not and you should not then fight
Medical care your mind had no sight

So finally said he may never be let
Drink in my Ma's bar in future he bet

Many years later this stranger was caught
Playing with sheep and a case it was sought

True story.

"without Batteries"

About four years ago when I first lost my dad..
Grief stricken and shocked and way to sad..
As days passed my wife would tell me that this
snow globe we had would some times play..
I would always shug it off and go my way..
As weeks passed and life seemed a litle brighter..
I would sit at this piano and play to a mood so lighter..
As I finished I got up and walked across the room..
I turned to hear Fur Elise being played in tune..
I picked up the snow globe to turn it down...
Only to realize there were no batteries to be found..

Premium Member The Child I Used To Be

By some perchance, if I should meet
The child I was, upon the street,
Would she tarry for what I have to say
Or from this stranger run away?
So much of her I now recall
But she knows not of me at all.

Would she wonder why I shed this tear,
My little self of yesteryear?
Would she let me take her hand in mine,
To solve the maze and walk the line?
There is so much she could learn from me,
This litle child that I used to be.

I'd like to show her where to turn,
Teach her the lessons she needs to learn
Give her a map to find her way,
This little child of yesterday.
Or should I simply set her free?
The little child that I used to be.

Premium Member A Promise

I walk...
And I think.
A tear drops now and then.
Eternal love worn thin?
But how and why and when
could it have reached the brink?

Not much...
Just a litle here and there.
With something special in between.
To big, to bad to not be seen.
Maybe not intentionally mean,
but thoughtless, selfish, without care.

I walk...
and I vow,
not to let it be my deed
which plants the ugly seed.
I’ll meet her every need
not “sometime when” but now.
