First Drink

My first legal drink
Was anti-climatic
I had gone out
To celebrate my legal age
At age 21
I could finally
Get a drink in a bar

I wanted to get
carded that night
But no one looked at my ID

I had gone to a bar
When I was 14
No one ever carded me
As I looked much older

Finally got carded
At age 32!
I thanked the guy
Saying he made my day

Take Your Man

"Take Ur Man" is written all over her perky body
The short shorts she wears
The evil in her laugh
The grin on her face when his arm flexes
With a body made to wrap around a man
Lips soft and eager to explore
Make sure ur man is s3xually satisfied
"Take Ur Man" is hidden behind her eyes
Love & Attention is what she seeks
Lust is what she attracts
Daddy issues cause the legal age gap
Her name means beauty in Italian
Make sure they r never alone together
Her self confidence is ur problem not hers
She knows she is hot & so does he
"Take Ur Man" is dripping down her thighs
U better hope u drained him properly
He better fall asleep before u do
Her night shirt says "Husband's Love Me"
As u begin to feel selfish and unavailable
She finds him, giving u space
Trust this nom de plume when I say....
She has "Take Ur Man" written all over her

Fornax Lepus Speaks To Musca Mensa

LESS ABOUT YESTERDAY AND MORE ABOUT NOW
SHE DEMANDED THAT HE RESTORE HIS OWN
DIGNITY BY BEING THE MAN SHE MARRIED
MIGHT YOU SEEM MORE WILLING AND LESS UNLIKELY
OR MIGHT YOU UNDERSTAND INSTEAD OF OVER DOING.
THOSE WHO'S YESTERDAY'S HAVE NAMED THEM AS SUCH
MIGHT THEY THEN BE GIVING THE SAME CHANCES AS THOSE WHO ARE LESS TAINTED.
PAVO THE STARS OF SPRING SHINE ABOVE THEE
MIGHT THE NIGHTS OF SPRING HAVE YOU WITH
SOMEONE WHO IS EQUAL TO YOU IN AGE, IN VISION, AND IN
A DESIRE TO UNDERSTAND.
MIGHT YOU ALIGN YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE
WHO WISH NOT TO MAKE YOU STRANGE
OR LABEL YOU AS DIFFERENT SO THAT THEY MIGHT
INFLICT THERE WILL UPON YOU.
PRAY YE GOD THAT THESE SATANS BE FOUND
AND THERE PLANS AGAINST NOT SEE DOING
MIGHT THOSE WHO DECEIVE BY LYING ABOUT THERE AGES, THERE WEALTH AND THERE
WELL BEING NOT CAUSE YOU TO BE ILL
MIGHT THE WISDOM OF PEOPLE SPEAK TO STOP THE PLANS OF
SATANIC PEOPLE
WHO WISH YOU COUPLED
THEN MIGHT THE CONSTELLATIONS OF EVERYNIGHT IN SPRING, SUMMER AUTUMN AND WINTER BRING PEERS OF YOUR AGE AND OF LEGAL AGE TO
BE THE KEEPSAKE IN THE RELATIONSHIP WHICH WILL BE PROSPEROUS AND
HEALTHY.

Accepting Myself

Judgments of deception plagued my mind,
Following an artificial shadow with no hope.

Having problems from cognitive growth,
Learning was considered a form of witchcraft.

No intentions of committing remorseful acts,
Yet sinned horribly with clouded viewpoints.

Jinxed by the demons of mental illnesses,
Leading to the wicked curse of addiction.

Due to the unpreparedness at the legal age,
The real world ate me alive during adulthood.

Climbing an uphill battle to conquer problems,
The first step needed to start with exploration.

Reaching the highest mountains to find potential,
Recognizing my personality through discovery.

Acceptance from pure identity led to happiness,
Now traveling a path of my own choosing.

Virtual Fantasy
              by Odin Roark

So innocent they
But three years old
Wanting parent look
Upon their face

First on paper
Crayon scribbles
Then long waits
Yearly Halloween
And make-believe

Come paint-on tats
Just like mommy daddy
On leg
Neck
Heart

Then to legal age innocence
Crow’s feet cover
Cheekbone carving
Botox injections
Steroid Adams
Enhancement Eves

Fast forward

Beneath gender façade
Lurks a swirling cauldron
Marveling in grease slick color
Oil running hot
Engine never cold

To be
Is not to be
Man and woman
Where molten-hardened
Eruptive cycles
So often masked
Addictively rush tomorrow’s reality

Meanwhile
History ever fading
Continues priming expectants
Reminding Barbie doll captives
And GI Joe dreamers
Tomorrow’s headgear fantasy
Comes with warning
Virtual sympathy
