MOONLIGHT ON MY LAPTOP

MOONLIGHT ON MY LAPTOP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
in twilight's hallowed hour
     the world outside recedes.

glowing screen, a window wide.
     virtual realm opens.

moonbeams dance upon
     reflections of code and thought.

I soar, a bird on outstretched wings
     through skies of endless blue.

View from a Blind Laptop

This morning one songbird awoke first,
breaking the night with its spiral tongue.

Under an oak tree a puddle bloomed stars,
then washed its face with a watery light.

Moments later,
a narrow sky opened its window.  A rose red lip
of sunlight, kissed the verge of a far beyond.

Light crowned meadow daisies one by one.

I did not see any

In the glow of bright screens, secrets unfold
Hunter's laptop weaves tales both bold
A dance of power, truth bought and sold

Eden's fruit gleams red —

Knowledge wounds deeper and sharper than now

Silicon dreams wake


Gravity's whisper

Via a slew of logical falls

Into neural nets


Jobs' crystal garden

Where aluminium meets glass

Future blooms within


Digital serpents

Now weave through quantum orchards

Teaching metal minds


Machine-wisdom fruit

Ripens on carbon branches

Beyond human reach


Paradise regained?

Or wandering circuits that learn

To think like gods do?

By the light of the laptop

it only takes a crack of light
to write of her, my true delight

to recount the times she was near.
to paint a picture of her, my dear.

to pen poems about so rare a beauty 
seems more a privilege than a duty.

There once was a tech enthusiast,  
Name of Phil, and in him an obsession did persist.  
It was with his laptop that he couldn't part  
And so he took it, truly, everywhere he'd start.  

In meetings, at school, and even in the loo

delight me in this shattered masterpiece
In the bowels of the background unknown creatures lie
I squint my eyes, trying to decipher and decide
The screen is beautiful now, and it has character
Something that could have never happened before.

Zoom Crush, Or the Blatant Staring Allowed In Virtual Meetings

Your face is tiny on my screen,
one square among the twenty-two - 
but rising out of my laptop, 
somehow you fill the entire room. 

The professor talks away but 
I scarcely listen, for meanwhile,
I can spend the whole meeting with
my eyes fixed on your smile.

Just to let all you folks know
  that my good old keyboard's kaput
Can't f'gure out the reason why
  but eye (Gershon) can't type the letter eye

Living in a masquerade
Hiding our truths in the shade 
Veiled Behind electronic devices 
The Physical world Minimises

Concealed behind a blue and white light
No melatonin released at night 
Our brains don’t accept it’s time to sleep 
And every day we’re on repeat 

A vicious cycle ceases to stop
When hid behind our phones and lap top

Armchair Qua Laptop Traveler

Pennilessness disallows me
     luxury tubby globe trekker
hence, my imagination
     takes me random places minus
     the hassles of
     any rubber necker
gawkers always staring
     at major or minor 

     crash test dummy
