What Should Really Be Going On

if we could only
be as good as others want
us to really be

this has been my top
priority as i see it
and want it to be

only God will know
about my abilities
which now do exist

not let go to waste
use to make others happy
should be goal in life

I'M Just a Deadly Cancer

6

Anna Kerr Tate / Read poetry
A cancerous growth in i times
I'm an ever-growing tumour
That grows from deep within.
You won't feel or know I'm there
As im the most evil of all sin.

I'm working with the devil
I am the creator of his hell.
And into your lives unknowingly
Is how I choose to dwell.

I'll take from you, your strengths
and prey on your weaknesses.
Slowly restricting parts of growth
As I grow with the passing days.

I'll take from you, your very breath
And take your will away at great length.
You'll become weak, and fade away
That's what I cause to you til your dying day.

But if you battle with strengths within
And upon your journey don't ever give in.
Then maybe just maybe you have a chance
And no longer around Satan's table you'll dance.

You'll reap rewards and regain composure
If you struggle with all your might.
And don't give up nor give in
To this cancerous battle that you fight.

Another Kerr Eruption

Another Kerr Eruption

With intelligence had been an interruption,
And inserted into it was some Kerruption;
We were elated,
And graduated;
While Trump had experienced corruption.

Kerr is a lay Episcopal Person at All Saints
at Stonybrook, NY.

For Layman Named Dan Kerr

For Dan Kerr, A Layman

Me they never would ordain;
Could not bare all the strain,
He had been,
In lion's den,
So a layman still will remain.

I Own Mine Hbu

Come & talk to me come & walk with me let's leave the deceit & egos behind for a second I think thats what's blocking our reckoning
I'll start by owning my part I didn't cherish your heart like I promised that I would I was more preoccupied with my image in the hood
I would go out for hours almost days & when you called I'd always bang play light skin coy  I would laugh to myself & say let ya nuts hang boy
So I admit I was a dastardly fool wrapped in the finest garments to maintain my cool
I know I pushed you too far away from where we were I was out every other night behind enemy lines knocking them down like Steve Kerr
The girls name on the mirror the magnum wrappers in the room when the girl described my house it all spelled doom
Guilty as charged but let me plead my case you were perfect but against myself I was in a race I got insecure & had to out do the magnificent things I did yesterday you are the only one I truly loved the rest were definitely throwaway
I think I gave some gossip for Vern a lesson to be learned the fire still burns now it's your turn

Warning, if you are under 60 you may not "get" some of these.

Mohammad Ali
taunting with poetry,
his opponents he'd zing
as he danced 'bout the ring.

Graham Kerr "The Galloping Gourmet"
oft with our minds he would play.
Why else would he pick
the dessert "Spotted Dick"?

Ichabod Crane
rode down rode down the lane.
From the Headless Horseman he'd flee
while on his saddle he peed.

Abbot & Costello,
two funny fellows
were very immersed
into whose on first.

Ed Norton
couldn't laugh without snortin'
which would quickly annoy
old Ralph Boy!

Professor Irwin Corey
told confusing stories,
You'd listen and listen till your eyeballs would glisyen
and not understand what you're missin'

Don Rickles
would offer a nose full of nickels
and got plenty of yuks calling you a schmuck
and dumb as a hockey puck.

Giuseppe "Peppino" Mazzullo,
the voice of Topo Gigio
on Ed's final night
said "Eddie, kessa me goo' night!"

Jack Benny
wouldn't lend you a penny
nor spend a dime -
died when he was 80 at the age of 39.

A Desperate Housewife

Nobody has never expected
Anything great from Mrs Kerr
The wife`s obligation was to make sure
That her family was safe and secure
She wad thinking about everyone
But they were rarely thinking about her
She was so gentle, kind and pure
The mother`s task was to comfort and cure
Now, her children and husband are gone
She is left all alone
The flowers on the tree of her life
Are no longer rife
And sometimes she thinks
That with her big heart and great mind
She could have done something great
But it is too late
Yes, it is too late
