time stirs incensed sparks
a moon of juniper dreams
amidst this wild heart
aching to be cloaked in pine ~
sweet love  … brushed in warm lilac

Jubilant seasons come anytime on your way
Using an evergreen bush and tree everyday
Nice for dresses, foods, drugs, decors, display
In December, it’s a Christmas tree, hooray!
Pick the best types based on purpose
Elegant perfume, air-freshener’s scent for your nose
Rake the seeds for your home landscape, I propose.

Juniper- a genus of evergreen

Under the cypress family list;

Neath scented leaves, new berries are green.

It had a place in mythology's mist.

Protection, Long life, Purification

Expressed in religious celebration

Rejecting evil spirits in between.

Juniper,* you are a blessed tree, endowed by God for all to see
Umbrella you were to Prophet Elijah when from distress he did flee...
Never denying your sheltering role, helping ecosystem to be whole
Indeed fulfilling goal, as haven for birds, even for tired soul...
Performing best, providing habitat for wildlife with protective zest
Evergreen that smites longevity's pest and stands firm midst test
Ready to grant rest under your foliage toward victory's crest.

*1 Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

Juniper

An old lady from North America,
Owned an evergreen shrub called Ithaca,
Its cones weren’t aromatic,
She stored them in her attic,
One night she transformed into silica.

Just an evergreen
Using its sheen,
Notably seen
In a pattern pristine,
Presenting a keen,
Earthy fragrance clean,
Releasing into air serene.

I first met you, heard you on a beach in Cornwall, Jennifer;
I fourteen, you, a soft, mellow chanted, sybaritic siren.
Still, the Hurdy Gurdy man stopped, looked across, smiled at this boy.

oh juniper tree
high five to thy lively gin
that drives us to jibe
a jitterbug jig and jive
that we all get berried in

Premium Member juniper berries

Juniper berries are a brilliant bright blue,
Prettier, not as dark as blueberry’s hue
While growing, prefer warm sunny spaces
Live on several continents, many good places

Add flavor to liquors are a diuretic too
Also, a stimulant, but what can you do?
If you come across one, don’t dive right in
They are bitter off the vine said my cousin Jin.

Juniper you might not see what everyone else seems to know
here
Let me help you out June
Man July came to soon
You were beautiful June

Upon birth, Juniper loved her name; no one else had it.
But then others heard it.
Now there are sixteen Junipers in the same class - her class.
The teacher wants to number them.
Juniper one, Juniper two, Juniper three.
The parents sign a petition they do not want their children numbered.
They should have thought of that before they stole Juniper’s middle name too.

Premium Member The Queen of Juniper Lane

In younger days, she ruled the stage,
Thrilling hearts of fans of every age.
Every living creature knew her name;
And the trees still whisper of her fame!

Her beauty was like the noonday rose,
Gripping, and then sweet memory as it goes.
Now retired to quiet life in the country,
To birdsong and a charmed visitor, maybe.

Redbirds bluebirds, blackbirds and robins,
Frequent her sunflowers and all their kin.
She has no desire to recreate the past,
For like a red diamond, it was made to last!

The spell once cast shall always linger,
As the beloved ring on her widowed finger.
Under the spotlight of the evening moon,
She gathers sweet-smelling roses of June;

Then nature is spellbound in total stillness,
As if expecting another drama to witness!
There's occasionally a party on Juniper Lane;
The princess she was is the queen she became!
