Her sugar intake was phenomenal,
her blood index astronomical!
She had become a sugar freak,
three meals a day, seven days a week.
Her doctor’s warning she ignored,
his food suggestions had her bored.
Her pancreas, he pointed out,
was low on insulin, or just about.
Predicted she’d have to quit all
sugar or face an early burial.
Laughed it off as a cheap scare tactic
preferring to remain a diabetic.
Said the doctor with a pun perverse:
“As you wish, you’re getting your just desserts.”

do you feel regret?
regret for your vote?
Do you feel remorse?
realizing you're a minority too?
we stole this land, now the original inhibitors are in camps.
this country is built on the blood soaked ground of natives,
and was created on the backs of immigrants,
but suddenly you decide that they are the problem.
the kids are dying
guns are in schools and going to the hospital bankrupts people.
we've got a felon in the office and people dying on the streets.
eggs are $6 a dozen and people can't afford to eat.
Big pharma is getting richer while diabetic people die every week because they can't afford insulin.
are you just now realizing what him as president really means?
our military might be strong but our people are feeling weak
ICE is in schools but pedophiles and rapists walk free,
Billionaires get richer but life gets harder for you and me.

The diabetes Fraud
On Der Spiegel today I read that a solution to diabetes had been discovered, the article showed a serious medical staff breaking out
In jubilation, followed by happy patients
The reason it was not made official was because the big pharma would shut it down
Hang on!
I remember having read the same article 5 years ago about a rare plant in Peru that in powder and taken before bed would cure Diabetes
A spoonful of this stuff a day will surely keep Doctors away
The rare plant from a hidden valley in Peru now
In liquid form are costly, but what the heck
A diabetic is willing to pay any price to be able
To be cured right?
You will hitherto be slim and handsome again Full of energy vigorously march forward to new life, thanks to a flower in Peru
Such a fraud, the slimming of your bank account, you have been had when the blood sugar is too high and it is back to insulin again

at the doctor's
There are days when I feel bereft of the people I knew
are all dead and no one is coming to take their place
there is a sense that I'm a waterlogged tree floating
in a sullied inland lake where bathing is prohibited
my nights are full of ghosts from the past visiting
when not awakened by nerve pains traveling up and
down my legs and the burning sensation telling of
the eternal flames of hell
I'm sitting at the diabetic doctor's office complaining
about the depression of pain I suffer at night
the man has an ascetic face, a real doctor, not a product
of a mother's wish to have a son with the title DR
You are keeping your sugar level well-balanced
which is good, your weight is right! (at this point
I pull my stomach in
As for your discomfort, you have to see this as a part
of your illness, I think he calls my pain DISCOMFORT!
He prescribes prescription for Insulin pens and tells
me my blood pressure is perfect, with that he sends
me away with a friendly slap on my sagging shoulder

Was it Banting and Best,
Collip and McLeod’s feat ?
Whose efforts bore fruits,
And ‘Insulin’ was discovered.
Or was it the Compassionate Creator.
Who really Sorted out the pancreatic mystery,
And Granted man the sense,
To perfect the pancreatic extract,
That was injected to people with diabetes,
Safely and successfully !
A new era dawned in the history of medicine.
Many hopeless souls,
Got relieved and cheerful.
On being Gifted Insulin,
The “lifeline” so much awaited before.
Since that landmark discovery,
Diabetes has witnessed many more breakthroughs.
Each one a lesson, to the faltering human.
Not to despair and to carry on the struggle,
Despite upheavals and failures.
And never to loose the trust on our ‘True Benefector’.
We should always strive keeping us upright,
And keep words and deeds like a mirror.
Kindling the dreary paths for others,
And rescuing fondering hearts, from deep waters .
Ahead, Medicine has many more challenges.
Diabetes also needs more plunges,
Into the oceans of research and practice.
As in 1921, the insulin got invented.
May one day, “Diabetes” get eradicated.

So let me reintroduce myself as the poetic samurai as I cut through the tragic of life
As humanity embraces it's inner beast ,
And we became monsters of our own making
What you see is what you get ! Life is an illusion
And to see through the lenses of life you need a covenant eye
For all we see in this life is the evil that lives in the heart of men As brother guns down brothers
Our sisters seeking for money pleasure from these diabetes over grown men as boy friend so they diabetic income is insufficient of insulin to reduce the sugar income .
Like our men of God (prophesying the the unseen version) digging deeper for deep pockets sugar coated phrase of fraud
With heavy tithes on offer
Let me not run away from what we have become humanity has become more
Dangerous than the wild animals
So don't let me cut the truth into the lies we tell ourselves wen we go to sleep
We have become brain dead
Our brain cell will only comprehend money and sex
We betrayed kisses in exchange for selfies as
Desires become selfish
Teenage get sex before sex ads
As my thoughts constantly hit on paper to rewrite the past

Here come old grandpa
He come movin' up slowly
He got, big-a-belly
He got, roley-poley
He got, hair...on his ears
He got to be a grandpa he lived so many years
He drink- no more, moonshine
He got, gout toeitus
He got, monkey back
He shoot, insulin
He say, I don't... remember you
One thing he should know is that he's one hundred and two
He lacks production
He got, two sets of dentures
He got, always sidetrack
He got, soup and crackers
He got, gout, down...on his feet
Sitting in his wheelchair he's got old-age disease
Does he remember, right now- he's one hundred and two
He can't use a toaster
He got, cold- needs a warming
He got, dementia
He lost, mojo filter
He say, one and one and one is four
Got to be dementia 'cause he can't add anymore
Does he remember, right now, he's one hundred and two

HOMELESS
Pale palms spread ! Lie flat, damp on a beer mat
lip stained pint glass, bubbles rising, carbon gas.
Puddle, pooled, red-eyed perspective, insulin injected.
Life lives in a toilet visit, dripped, stained, unzipped.
Crabbed-walked, twisted-talked, bent legged kneeling
urine smell immune, numb, no feeling.
Blurred haze across table strewn, stool, chair maze
falling body held in a strangers grasp, a sick rasp.
Limp-mouthed words fall out, joined in spit
short breath from Hell and split trousers smell .
Cold gutters await, dark, alone late
and no home, not there ! No care.
Please bus fare ?

The best way to stay on a diet
as to simply not even buy it
for if you can't even try it
it's the best way to stay on a diet
Fatty foods and candies
sweet creamy drinks so dandy
calories galore only leads to eating more
buy buy buy em soon you got a hoard
When you buy ice cream and fried chicken by the bucket
and you find before you eat a spiral ham you hug it
a ton of sugar in your coffee and your sweet tea
won't be long for insulin to control your diabetes
Don't even think you got the will
You know there is no magic pill
for if your cupboard and frig overflow
soon your belly will hide your toes
It's hard not to eat when you have it
it becomes not hunger but habit
If you snack all the time
your weight will surely climb, climb, climb
So remember
The best way to stay on a diet
as to simply not even buy it
for if you can't even try it
it's the best way to stay on a diet.

An insulin syringe seems so small
Tiny actually
And all the things they can hold
Is almost too much to fathom
These little tubes
Can hold your car and your house
And as crazy as this sounds
Even your spouse
100cc's full of your hopes
and your dreams
If this sounds too extreme
Just take it from me
These things can hold
Your family and your friends
And theres still plenty of room
For each of your kids
They'll hold your future
Even your past
And they've never failed
To fill up fast
So with this warning
What will you do
Risk it or not
It's all up to you
In the blink of an eye
Your worlds turned into a transparent liquid
It's all that's left
What will you do with it

Epitaph for the Test Dogs
What you did for us, not many know,
because you did it so long ago.
Victoria’s reign to flapper days,
you lived in labs while other dogs played.
Pancreas removed from each of you,
you were, then, rendered diabetic too.
Were insulin shots something to trust?
Since they worked for you, they were tried on us.
They worked like magic when they were tried.
Type I diabetics no longer died.
To you, furry friends, this tribute we give.
You gave up normal lives so we could live.

OH! Sweet and gentle Lord Jesus Christ,
Please remember me when you come into
Your kingdom! Jesus remember me when
You come into your kingdom! Yes it is
Very true you will always remember me!
On May 10, 2021 one of your children left
Far behind a sorrowful life that he was
Clearly in mourning for! Both he and his
Wife had an insulin overdose ending of
Their suffering lives and existence!
As his older sister by four years, it
Was my responsibility to talk him
Out of it! I prayed for him and they
Also did on All Poetry! Dale died
Peacefully in his sleep!
He was barely sixty three years
Old he died a few days after his
Sixty third birthday! He did not
Believe he would reach sixty three!
Instead of taking his own life, I
Convinced him to let you Jesus
Christ end his miserable life!
Our prayers were answered!
All Lord Jesus because of you!
Yes! Jesus Christ you did
Really remember Dale when he
Came into your heavenly
kingdom! And you will also
Remember yours truly!
Love in Christ Jesus!

they slipped with the lobotomy
red-hot poker in the eye
electrocution grilled her mind
bonfire of insanity
a straight jacket squeezed the last drop of lucidity
but she would not see the light of the day
leeches drank happily in search of blood
swollen and fed up they spilled their prey on her skin
her sugar addiction succumbed to insulin coma
almost ate up the last crumb of resolve
the final straw came when they exorcised her
and satanic verses stirred devilish crosses
to the tune of hymns psalms and insurrection
of flesh body soul and lost Self
she borrowed a lighter and burnt a candle
immolated demons and ghosts of the past
saw luminescence and freedom
set arson to hellish oppression
burnt down the asylum
and decided to be her own crazy warden
