Not one for getting my self jinx
 With many feelings the excitement
How you think, feel never interlinks
Boy the moments of disapointment

Those times when your heart sinks
Because of the overwhelmment
Yes that is what really then stinks
 No real sense of enlghtenment

 When trusting your gutt instincts
Not going against your -
better judgment
Something that me now thinks
That would be a real improvement

Natural instincts

There is a tree in my backyard,
It is laden with fruits of only one kind.

But still all my neighbours are after it,
They know the tree is extremely benign.

I don't find any interest in this struggle for those hanging golden fruits,
My eyes are centered on the parrot trying to select the ripened one out.

It is so sincere to choose the best among them,
Where rest of the humans on ground are just busy and don't understand.

Premium Member Maternal Instincts

The crow dived in one
  full swop
A chick to be picked for
  lunch for her chick's
So the mother hen in
  a daring response
fluttered her wings to meet
  the crow in mid air
To redeem her chick's
This is maternal instincts

         INSTINCTS

Let's speak of instincts owned by Human beings
Eventually Good and also Bad to bring.

Evils to be driven away. ! Fundamental !
Good to go for betterment ! That's Ornamental.

Very easy to feel pain in other's distress.
Too Tough to enjoy fully other's happiness.

Grief will be less obvious, sharing with others.
Enjoy more when you spread happiness rather.

       Another common instinct : Reciprocation
'Give and Take' : Easy policy, not to mention.

        Evil instinct Malice acts simultaneous,
        just showing ingratitude oblivious.

Chasing evil instincts, Good instincts to culture.
Build society on strong civilized structure.

.

Instincts or spirituality

My burning heart is broken forever —
it's beyond my melted power to fix it clever.
My dark thoughts don't help me recover.
My mind can't see clearly, over and over,
wandering off into blurred endless dreams.
Only my mortal body knows why it lives,
when my soul stilled and vanishes slowly.
All I've got is my body under a spell of lovely
survival, which the animal essence needs.
It doesn't think about end even when it bleeds.
My body wants to keep me alive, no death.
To survive, my instincts make me breathe.
I consist of broken hopes and innocence.
I was taken hostage by my tenacious essence.

Hoist With His Own Petard

He who disregards truth and justice
Will sooner or later go the whole hog;
His bestial appetites and habits,
His love of cruelty and power eventually will take over
Perhaps without him ever realizing the danger.
He is not only beyond the control of others
But beyond his own control.
He does no good ( like rainless clouds or fruitless trees,
Heaping abuse on anything he doesn't understand;
Spoiling the fellowship meals with his irreverent behavior.
He lives at the mercy of his brutish instincts,
Looking after Himself instead of caring for his brother.
Like storm, he leaves behind him shame and disgrace;
like the dirty foam left along the beach by the wild waves.
He's like stars that have wandered into outer space and give no light,
He grumbles about everything and have a huge chip on his shoulder.
He is one in reign,
A loud-mouthed show-off
Who flatters others for his own advantage
And give free reign to his evil desires.

An Autumn wind blew an acorn
from the paws of a squirrel
  right into the pond
without so much as a twirl

Then the wind knocked down a sapling
   that had recently sprouted
 cackling madly as a witch
   at the foliage it routed…

 Heralding a long bitter winter
   Madame Wind howled as fierce
as a wolf ripped to shreds by a bear
~ primal instincts ravaging its lair

Premium Member Followed Instincts To Become Me

i appreciate the real me for living her truth
for showing me hobbies I no longer want to do
giving me passions that became obsessive
introducing me to poetry, cartooning, drawing

I congratulate the real me for successfully eliminating jobs
All together I walked away from twenty-eight that were not for me
I left some before noon the first day
following my instincts out the door, before the W2’s were created

I revere myself for knowing how much I need people
how attached I am to playing with children
for bringing dogs, cats, squirrels, birds and raccoons to my yard
my heart, my life, my dreams, my ideas, my stories are full

Premium Member Fear Keeps Him From His Instincts

Oranges pinks and reds swirl within Galmanger’s heart
He feels a kinship to those he is supposed to torch
This rarely happens, but he has opened his chakras
He has been listening to the pulse of the world source
What good is a fire dragon if he develops empathy?
Will he be kicked out of the tribe? He stamps his thoughts.
They would not be welcome in the fire clan; whose are they?
Has a demon taken over his soul? He knows not,
Only that he had better keep quiet. If he wants to survive the clan.
It is awful when they turn on their own.
And now where does he belong?
He tries to take a sabbatical, but it does not work.
Where do you think you are going? The fiercest dragon asks.
He slithers back into place between two sleeping fire monsters.
Fear keeping him from following his instincts and his soul’s instructions.

When the Instincts Kick In

a sexist scandal
a single feeling
of sobering sickliness
a shriek
a stranger springs onto me
skin slides across skin
scraping and scratching
struggling and screaming
nobody comes to save me

a shard of slippery glass
snatched in a split decision
a slash
scarlet splatter spews along the silent street
the struggle subsides
moral costs of survival
have never seemed so selfish
