Volte-Face

Vested influencers voiced commercials,
a venture whose view might marshal
public opinion – ads valued as partial.
Virgin winds of the highest velocity
created a vortex, a veiled victory.
The vision vulcanized by verbal vacillation
once the vote drew verification.
Amid the vagaries, a volte-face vaunts itself
beyond the veneer.

carney has banned garlic harvesting from farmers lands..well maybe no shadow exists.? Is that why the 'cease and desist?'
It seems he's into extraction.? Maybe he
Fears garlics actions..And its all hallows as well.? I think this whole thing smells.?

Info Injection

Inserted into this dimension,

Like an injection,

Part of natural selection,

Creating a new direction.

A soul intersection,

Approved upon inspection,

Time carved out a section,

Carrying it out to perfection.

Family creates a connection,

Mistakes create correction,

Emotions are in the reaction,

As we watch life happen.

Learning from the lesson,

Earning our way in,

Creating our own invention,

A life lived with intention.

Playing like you mention,

Mastering this dimension,

Using a loving connection,

To match the reflection.

Time provides protection,

Awaiting your interjection,

A vaccine for perception,

An info injection.

In 1984 Peter Finan and Neil Smith played Scrabble at college
They played it for one hundred and fifty-three hours
Setting a new record.

The word Oxyphenbutazone would be worth 1751 points
As far as we know, it has never been played.
For good reason.
It would take the entire length of a board.
And we only get seven letters at a time.

Z is pronounced Zee in the USA
Great Britian calls it Zed every day
Believe it or not good-natured linguists, the ampersand
Was once the twenty-seventh letter of the alphabet, my friend
Franklin wanted to eliminate five letters of the alphabet in his day
But the Americans would not agree to this censorship in any way
Four thousand new words are added to the English Dictionary each year
A fact in a book, but the why of this is certainly not clear

Oh, how I remember that day at my school
I went to the bathroom and pulled out my tool
Then I noticed down there
Saw- (peach-fuzz)- pubic hair
I felt really big, really proud, really cool

A common thread in humanities fabric,
Sees knowledge as power that one obtains.
Even our science hints to this information,
As what is transferred along quantum cosmic lanes.

This data is constantly flowing, in a
Sea so vast that no shoreline is seen.
Although a rhythm is found among cycles,
And our thirst tries to collect in a canteen.

Just as most resources possess value,
The lessons learned aren't universal or absolute.
Since the harvesting stretches beyond boundaries,
And the farm worker's only choose the best fruit.

What this insures is an abundant yield,
That will last throughout time and space.
With the hope it will find needed wisdom,
Where mankind survives...content in its place.

Poor Info War

Info wars
Some true
Some absurd,
All this hullabaloo
Fact checking every word.

Info wars
Many fake
Many disturbed
It's propaganda makes
obsequious sycophant uncurbed...

Premium Member Calorie Info

Calorie info should include “what if I ate the whole thing”
Probably applies to more people than those to their diets cling
Will write them a note
The info to quote
Won't feel guilty coz my multiplication skills are pretty slim

I thought I had the inside track,
I really thought I knew,
What goes on inside my head,
But I didn't have a clue.

I'm so glad you told me;
So glad you set me straight.
Without you to tell me,
What would be my fate.

The pettiness and jealousy,
I didn't know I feel,
Was very plain to your keen eye,
You know what's there for real.

Folks like you are rare, it's true.
You read folks like a book;
And then you read between the lines.
You know what really cooks.

I thought I was feelin' fine,
But you could see my misery.
If it weren't for folks like you,
Why war would just be history.

An army of mites reside in our lashes
With mouths and tiny claws
Along the way during human evolution
This surely must be a flaw

Astronauts strangely can't burp in space
What kind of useless dribble is that
A feline can have over a hundred kittens
Now that's one pooped out cat

Some atheists put up Christmas trees
An identity crisis for sure
A cow can poop up to four tons a year
That's sure a big batch of manure

A woman once had sixty-nine children
Talk about barefoot and pregnant
With a dirty big bunch of kiddies like that
She could hold her own beauty pageant

Nose prints are used to identify dogs
Imagine if used them for humans
Especially during the influenza season
There'd be snot all over the policeman

The tallest people in the world are the Dutch
Must always duck around windmills
While kissing most tilt their head to the right
But there's some who rub noses still

The salary of Toto in “The Wizard Of Oz”
Was a hundred twenty dollars a week
That's a hundred and twenty more than me
Since retiring my new job is sleep
