Beyond First Impressions
They label me "weird," they whisper "psycho,
They run and hide, a fearful, hushed acclaim.
Then drawn by something they can't quite define,
They creep back slowly, in a hesitant line.
They sit with me, a cautious, gentle start,
And piece by piece, I take their world apart.
The mask dissolves, the image starts to fade,
The monster they imagined, no longer

Vacation
Superficial impressions, like the sunset ripple
Museums, beaches, cafes by the score
The phrasebook conversations with the service people
Cliches in their predictable galore
You’re saved from depth and filled with little pleasures
The charms of tourism, early breakfasts, late night bed
You travel light or loaded, spot some treasures
And file them in the archive, to forget.

Impressions
Impressions
Appear as forms
And formulations
Which may seem
To shape that which
Cannot be shaped..
Impressions arise
Apparently..along
With the thought
Of the shaping...

Autumnal impressions
After flaunting her wares and dazzling our eyes
Her energy ebbing ,motivation low
It should come to us as no surprise
That her colours fade to no linger glow
She does now sedately and sombrely dress
Though it still being in her nature to tease
With the whispering wind she conspires to impress
Her onlookers as she

mundane
rising from bed in the morning
seeking shelter when it's storming
idly whiling stray hours away
dreaming there will be better days
fabricating a self-image
with a more prominent linage
doodling on back of a letter
shunning life as a go-getter
paying of various taxes
wielding rhetorical axes
stopping by the grocery store
dealing with muscles which are sore
waiting in the queue at the bank
musing why

Books
Books
I went to the Frankfurt Book Fair the other day.
It was mind-boggling..Books!
There were fat books, thin books,
White books, black books, tawny books,
Paperbacks, hardbacks, beautifully bound books,
Pure books, lax books, learned books, lay books,
Plain books, books of many colours,
Books on every subject under the sun,
Not to mention other books on
Distant galaxies, pulsars, quasars,

Numb
A person can't be tuned or programmed to be a certain way.
So why is it I feel “a defective system” to this day?
My mind; it flickers black and white
I try and try to get things right
When I look into your eyes I see a vast world of shadows sliding past one another
Dissociation
A solemn vibration
