A soft whisper of vintage melodies,
painting old fashioned tapestries
with a brand new style;

Transported to a forgotten time
beguiled with every rhythmic rhyme
disappearing for a while;

Rich taste of fairy tale romance
dapper gentleman and lady slow dance
holding each other’s smile;

For a moment Earthy time is naught;
Together in the peace they have sought
love

The Mobile That Made You Immobile

Cell phones came, replaced your watch,
Resignedly you just watched;

Took away your alarm clock,
You shrugged and to your way walked;

Next, it eyed your camera,
You: ka mera, ka mera!

Then came daily calendar,
You knew just to surrender.

Should next be your family,
Would you still watch by idly?

I saw a man with the courage to live
without legs or arms; he couldn't even crawl.
Begging for coins folks aren't willing to give;
he's plopped on the street like a broken doll.

Hardened hearts walk by with barely a glance;
or accost him with sarcastic remarks.
Garnering pity is his only chance;
and so, he sifts the darkness, seeking sparks.

Premium MemberI Want To Make Your Mobile Immobile

Am I invisible... you almost knocked me flying
I’m on the pavement too, can’t you see me!
Too busy on your bloody mobile
Makes me seethe as you can see!

Head bent, hell bent on concentrating
Your ‘ostrich’ bonce buried, phone in hand
Stop texting - look where you’re going
Or I’ll say words you WILL understand

Totally oblivious to your surroundings

Life's circumstantces can overwhelm,
make me forget who I am or where I stand.
At these times, quiet calls me as shelter,
its silence a compelling, healing nectar,
and I disappear from even all I favor.

In a life rush of too much, I often withdraw
from all possible joys as well as quarrels.
As I absorb, I am a raw edged

Laziness

Lazy
Feeling worn-out
Anchored in a stillness
Of the world spinning you around
Thoughts flew ahead the immobile vessel
Dragging it a few steps forward
Reign a latent vassal
Of dormant pawn

Unsure and Immobile

Why, why can't I...why can't I just like a girl
without the twisted means, the stupid schemes
the boyish need to feel
along with the redundant love notes, emotional discharge
Why, why can't I...why can't I just like a girl
without things getting out of hand
without feeling the sting of rejection
without crying dramatic tears
Why, why can't I...why can't I just
