home-made meal

You can eat me alive from the inside out:
rip my skin away and chop my bones.

I'll let you choke down my flesh and
slit my tummy.

Just hang me upside down
and let my blood drain.

Maybe you'd make dinner,
put my little body in a pot

and serve it to them steaming:
in those china plates from TV.

but mummy: I'd make a pig sick.

Back yard summer

Home made iced lollies,
our taste of back yard summer,
sharing Vimto smiles.

Premium Member Thankful For Home Made Cookies

May we be blessed to acknowledge all the wonders in our life
that have, for us, thus far accrued…
and to begin each day with a word of thanks…
and thoughts of gratitude.

Today I’m thankful for home-made cookies…
Not only for the knowledge it takes to bake them….
But for all the love that’s packed inside
anyone who bakes them.

Don't sit around the ashes,
Of your by-gone mistakes.
Should-a, would-a, could-a, didn't,
Just increases heartaches.

Hashing and rehashing,
Each and every curse,
Only serves to stir the pot,
And makes a bad thng worse.

Sit back and look at what's ocurred,
And learn from what you've done;
So history won't repeat itself,
And life can be more fun.

Change whate're you need to change.
Form new and better habits.
If there's a life line to be found,
Reach out your hand and grab it.

Look for good in everything,
And never pick a fight.
Spread good will and be of help.
Keep this goal in sight.

You'll find your burdens lighter.
Your dues will all be paid,
Once you finally realize,
Most troubles are home made.

Bobbys Home Made Scripture

This isn’t scripture I just made it up but it sounds cool, lol

The least shall hunger not for they shall be fed
Sit on your pulpits like kings looking down at them
For the one that sits below you shall rise above you
This is my promise to you
For the rich shall hunger and not be fed

Home-made Love

I was born into a home surrounded by love and security
Love and security are two of mankind's greatest needs
In my home, these needs came to me via three people
Who seem to have been assigned measured contributions
It is interesting that they came to me in different levels
That is to say that from my father love did not come softly,
But it expressed itself to a much lesser degree with clouds
Of fear. Me thinks 'tough love' was the only love he knew.

From my mother, I never sensed a shortest of love and the love
From her invariably arrived sweetly, softly, and very tenderly. Mother
Knew that our strong and responsible father would protect us at all
Cost. At the same time she was always able to calm the anger storms
that often arose from my father.

From my maternal grandmother, love came to me like ocean waves
rushing to the shores in tides ever gentle, never too low or too high.
And if my father for any reason had shorted me of love, grandma was always there to make up the difference. Words like magnanimous and
lavishly best described her love to me.

Persuade To Have Beautiful Home Made

Persuade To Have Beautiful Home Made

What we wanted to do was persuade,
To have beautiful home being made;
Not ignored,
And adored
In succulent shade near a pretty glade.

Dads Home Made Record Player

What have I got to do to make you love me
Why won't you love back
How am I supposed to love me
When you won't even look at me back
I am starring at the man in the mirror
And no 1 is starring back
It's like I am a vampire
Awash in cold blood
And crocodile tears
The years have been unkind to
Like sad songs and the rights of those I have wronged
I wrote on the back of a postcard to my Dad
How wonderful life is with you in my world
When the Doctor had given him less than a month to live
Stealing every intake of breath
Loved to death
Leader of our family rag tag band
If only I could hold your soft hands
One final time
I could love myself again
Love Like your everything

Home-Made Lines

I feel accomplished
After writing long series...
For some odd reason

Happy, then anguished
Even when I'm done writing
I tried my best - you?

I feel incomplete
Despite, writing songs...verses...
I'm still on my feet

After I write/type,
I fin'lly rest my fingers
This style is mine! Yikes!

I feel this strange urge
To write all that's on my mind
Even pers'nal things

Sad, then frustrated
Cuz, lately, not good enough
It's tough to be me

Felt hated, betrayed
Bullies call me sev'ral names
My lines are home-made

Fresh peppers, onions sauteed
Lean, lean ground beef browned
Tempting aroma surrounds
Chopped fresh herbs sizzle
Juicy tomatoes
Pintos, too
Zing!

Home-Made Christmas

Morning hasn't even settled
Midnight sediment scattered through
The grey beasts that
Sail the sky
But Mother rocks the landing floorboards
And I follow

Downstairs
Families of dollymix, gingham, polkadot
Huddle in cool swirls
Cotton roses climbing the kitchen table

I sit and silently snip shapes
Press my early-hour imagination
Shallow into fabric
Triangular like chemistry
But tired at the edges

My mother lifts a needle
And creates
As mothers do
And I watch her
Lovingly piece Christmas together

Beaded purses, lace angels and silk tress
They are her children now
I can see it in her smile
Full like cinnamon
And red like blood

We pack our morning into hidden bags and boxes
And slip back to bed
Sleeping for an hour or two
Proud owls tucked in nests.

Home Made Bread

My Mothers home made white bread
warm from the oven
thickly sliced and smothered with
rich, creamy butter!
Baking scents the air
Comfort food
Bliss!

Premium Member Home Made Tacos and Other Things

Made some homemade tacos
Which were a little hot
There were some left overs
Believe it or not

So I thought I'd give the cats a little treat
And feed them mighty fine
With something different to eat
On tacos they could dine

In just a little while
I spied from my window view
Whity in the bird bath drinking the morning dew
Fifteen minutes later she wasn't even through

A Home Made Quote

At times the truth is hard to swallow
But sure beats choking on foolish pride.
