Log cabin in the woods
Curly rugs and wood fire
Your with the one you love
Wonder what will transpire.
Steaks in the fridge ready to cook
Potatoes wrapped up with foil
Your favourite novelists no.1 book
Libido starting to boil
Which will come first, book or bed
Come now its holiday time
Get those boots on lets get out the sled
Fresh air will cool you down
A roll in the snow face all aglow
Smiles from ear to ear
Its fun letting your hair down
Acting like children without fear
Tired muscles hungry bodies
Climb back to the hut at last
Bubbling jaccuzi and hot toddies
Sleepy, happy and relaxed.
I walk these streets
I have come to know
Eerily silent
Covered in snow.
The stars are hidden
The moon shines bright
I could not sleep
On this cold night.
I stride past the tavern
That serves up good cheer
Still full of revelers
It’s that time of year.
I stroll past Victorians
Festive Christmas trees in sight
Candles in every window
Every single luminary burning bright.
I travel slowly past
All the homes
Of those I think I know
Every home decorated gaily
People putting on their holiday shows.
And then I turn a corner
And my own house grows ever near
Its darkness hides the emptiness
That I feel this time of year.

December has come round again
Another Christmas time is near.
That time when young and old
Almost explode with festive cheer.
(an oldie "light" sonnet)
The Santa that I know is not so nice.
If there's a gift I tell him that I'd like,
he only will complain about the price,
and when December comes, he goes on strike!
For Santa is no sweet and jolly gent.
For instance, when it's time to do the tree,
he hates to have to bring it from the basement;
I trim it then without the grumble-bee.
It hurts my back to put up outside lights,
But I don't bother my "dear" Claus for that.
And so our house stands naked through the nights
of Christmas time ‘cause Santa is a rat!
My Santa Baby's great at subterfuge.
So ho, ho, ho for me. I married Scrooge!
There’s no better time than Christmas
I’ve always believed it to be so
When we remember Christ the saviour
Born two thousand years ago
There’s no better time than Christmas
When we celebrate his birth
In the sanctuary of a candlelit church
We rejoice for all we’re worth
There’s no better time than Christmas
To look beneath ageing skin
Of any of the old souls in the season
And still find a child within
There’s no better time than Christmas
I’ve always believed it to be so
When we remember Christ the saviour
Born two thousand years ago
An outside garland green and white
across our porch top glows by night.
In the yard, heads nod on reindeer!
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.
Inside my house, see right away
the greeting cards that I display
on the hall wall, near the mirror.
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.
Inside the living room, you’ll see -
trimmed red and gold - our handsome tree
where all our loved ones gather near.
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.
One table has the manger scene.
The shepherds and the Magi lean
to worship Him God deemed most dear.
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.
Another table, fun to view,
holds figurines, more than a few!
There’s angels, snowmen, Santas here!
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.
Inside my kitchen, smell the treats!
There’s Chex mix and a lot of sweets.
Let’s make a toast to Christmas cheer!
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.

Home sweet home in a tiny hamlet
Where the sky is always clear
Decorated with tiny fairy lights
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year
Walls newly white washed
The roof painted rusty red
Garden planted with roses
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year
Ethnic wear all aired and ironed
For the auspicious day of Eid is here
People come a visiting
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year
Tables laid with savouries and sweets
Aromatic flowers in vases
Bright smile on every child’s face
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year
People embracing one another
The joy of festivities overflowing
The whole world celebrating
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year
You’ll find warmth in hearts
And arms open wide
With hands folded and heads bent
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year
Halloween is a time of fun,
from house to house, getting scared, you run,
candy for you to eat,
what a delicious treat,
the holiday's have begun.
A festive time for all to enjoy,
weather you are a girl or a boy,
family and friends,
good times to the end,
No time for you to get annoyed.
Try to enjoy the winter season,
do fun things, just for this reason,
bundeling up very well,
while coming out of your shell,
trying at your best, to be on.
T om Turkey’s in the oven, for this day
H e’s met his fate! Napkins have been
N eatly folded next to every plate.
A pple pie aroma from the

I nvoking God to hear our prayer.

G ather on this happy day are those we count most dear.
D istinctive is this time when ties with family are renewed.
A time we set aside each
Y ear to show forth gratitude.

Winter snow all around me
Perfect time to think things though
Perfect time to have fun with friends but also to cuddle up to my lover
Kissing under the missle toe's
These are the perfect things to my winter break
Home of The Free and the Brave
The 4th of July is a
special time to
remember with parades
picnics, family and friends,
but what touches me
most is to hear the
Star Spangled Banner.
To sing of the Star
Spangled Banner
yet Waving and,
To know that I
live in the Home,
of The Free
and the Brave
brings me to tears,
every time I
hear it sung.

Christmas time is here again,
the most joyous time for friends and kin.
The turkey is stuffed, the potatoes are mashed,
A little more seasoning but only a dash.
A baby king was born this day,
under a star in a manger of hay.
Santa and his reindeer come out that night,
he checks his list before he takes flight.
The elves have been working all through the year,
to bring to all the children holiday cheer.
The carolers and lights make everything bright,
helping us to remember this glorious night.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

A
Tree
is just
a tree unless
you add decorations
This only comes at Christmas
Time give off reflections,The twinkling
of colored lights dancing off the garland gives one
the thoughts of years gone by, and those that are yet to come
So wake up you little sleepy head, it is time for you to have some fun.
Merry
Christmas
Happy
New Year
Christmas is a time for
Happiness, joy,
Romance and love.
It is a time to be close to others.
Santa brings many things, some-
That we need others we don't.
My only wish this year is-
A special person to spend time with.
Someone caring who loves me.
Love is more important than those-
Other things that people want. I-
Value it above gold or jewels or-
Even above my own life.
