Where the sky is always clear
Decorated with tiny fairy lights
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year

Walls newly white washed
The roof painted rusty red
Garden planted with roses

Ethnic wear all aired and ironed
For the auspicious day of Eid is here
People come a visiting
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year

Tables laid with savouries and sweets
Aromatic flowers in vases
Bright smile on every child’s face
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year

People embracing one another
The joy of festivities overflowing
The whole world celebrating
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year


You’ll find warmth in hearts
And arms open wide
With hands folded and heads bent
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of the year
