4 2 1 DEY B 3 CORD TIED

4 2 1 dey B 3 cord tied
My beautiful soul
My lovely one
The only love
We have the same Father
We're son, you're daughter
And we all three B 1
Highlighting the strength and stability God you and I
Holy cord that's bond we bind
That comes from unity and partnership, with God
For He's as third strand in a relationship.

Premium MemberA Crimson Veil Shrouds What is to Come

"A crimson sky breaks the distant shore,"
beaming an omen from the opened draw.
Highlighting a warning to fear, abhor?
Or perchance, a delight joyously to adore?

Which way do I look and when, for this brainstorming.
To read the sky bathed in crimson blood swarming?
Looking left at dawn, I get a warning, yawning!
Looking right at dusk, I get delight, informing!

Red sky at night, red sky at dawn,
What lies between, as day is dusted done, then newborn?
For at both birth and death, blood is often shed forlorn,
spreading its crimson veil, upward into the sky to adorn.

What if I'm not a shepherd or a sailor?
But, a land-blubber, or a tinker tailor?
How should I read the sky's loudhailer?
Perhaps I'll sleep, and wait for the trailer!

Women bleed too

You'd be wrong to assume it just affects only male
And even more wrong to overlook women's plight
Cause just like men, they too experience it
It's just sad that they'd been left behind

Maybe because it kinda feels like the usual periods
Just a little heavier, going on for more days
And for most women, they go undiagnosed
Cause they're just considered different

Maybe because they just bleed more after childbirth
When bringing forth life can mean life and death
Cause when undiagnosed, it would make people spiral
As they wrack their brains on what's happening

Maybe because all we've known are the boys
That seems to go through more episodes
And the focus had always been on them
And it was already taking a toll just managing them

You'd be wrong to assume it just affects the male
Cause I've clearly seen how women suffer too
And they suffer more in silence
That's why this year we are highlighting their plight

Premium MemberReverence of a Texas Sky

Waves of pale blue wafted through the quilted Texas sky
Highlighting the tangerines and lavenders of the evening
Grandpa’s old windmill looked picturesque in the distance
Sundown believes in imagination, adoration and fantasy

I stared into the ribboned distance, wondering if the trees suspected
They had an essential part in the mystique of the moment
Birds were reverent, none of them flew through the backdrop
My camera captured the night’s beauty, but not her silent ambiance

Take it or Not

If this I may
I shall say
That only a fool
listen to a drunkard on a stool

If thy see your worth
In such fools
Thy might just perch
on such stools

Then some would say
From such a mouth
One might look South
in a month even May

To listen to a grain
of truth
From a mouth
full of pain

That slurs
and curse
Highlighting some truth
that may form the roof

Serving as proof
Long awaited
Although guarded
to set free a fool

Whom brought truth with glee
shouted on the roof tops
sprouting the crops
Of the innocent fool free

Premium MemberSKY OF FIREFLIES

Sky of fireflies presents sparkling gems at night
Welcoming me to bask in the vibrancy of nature’s light
Beckoning my heart toward celestial delight
Enthralled by Almighty’s creative might.

With sky of fireflies projecting heavenly show
Inviting poetic muse yon fantasy glow
Here I am midst gratitude for blessings’ flow
Praise-filled while anticipating bright tomorrow.

Along sky of fireflies offering meditation-stream
Blissful soul is gripped with hope* that surpasses lunar gleam
Highlighting divine omnipotence in my dream
As I behold butterflies and fireflies enjoying sunbeam.

*Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

COUNTING PRESENCE

I watched her gather
The rejected memories
Then she placed them on my lap
Knowing full well
I would have to process
With no way to give back
...growth

Filled bags of new devices
Gadgets and gestures, in one
Money, possessions, overflowing
Without a path to run
...Wisdom

Another year, done and gone
No calls, visits or fellowship
To strengthen invisible connection
Matter gathers in every corner
Dust bunnies, tangled and gray
Highlighting lack of affection
...in presence

Premium MemberAnimating Innate Vibrance

Line of inquiry:

“betwixt the pulse of our heartbeat
simply present, head-heart linking
dwelling in time stretched blissful peace
awareness became unblinking

Animating Innate Vibrance

Open and shut, constant change
He’s on His throne, He’s off
My heartbeat says otherwise
My mortifying act of anamorphic shame

He says, “Sit still.”
He says, “Know that I Am…”

When I clear my head
not of everything
but when I sit in place
with only the inside and outside
universe; not without sound

I would be dead, without the sense
I’ve been given. I’m holding hands
with my own heart, quietly kissing
the peace, which I, all too often,
want to run from and to what…

How much time can I take
five or ten
minutes that I want to spend
elsewhere

but this is what I need. He
knows; the exploration time
spent in meditative prayer
pays higher dividends

Oh what I see
when I truly open my eyes
high beams highlighting,
sculpting, silhouette-sitting,
the unknown takes shape

The aha transforms. One
never forgets
when floored
with answers that transform

Premium MemberAutumn leaves

autumn leaves float freely
in a kaleidoscope of colors
passionate purples
and crimson reds
blend whimsically with
burnt orange and
her sister sunshine yellow
highlighting old barns
near open waters
that accidentally catch
a fallen leaf or two
Bob Ross paints
it in a half hour show,
but mother nature
takes her time
the world is her canvas
as she simply changes seasons

Putting it into words

Another drop of wine,
it’ll mask my recent crime
To find peace in the smoke
helps replace the things I’ve broke
To enter into his bed
paves an exit from my head

A mirror on the wall,
highlighting the tragedy of it all
The tightening grip,
running down to my hips
The water from my eyes
birthed from the darkest of skies

Whispers in the night that you never forget
like the sun at its rise and at its set
Feet on the ground but you’re not really here
and who’ll be there at the return to hold you, dear?

Conversations with people I never even knew
they give you their reasons, yet none ring true
Who's to say you’ve tried your best
if it’s only you with the keys to your secret treasure chest?
