Premium Member The Lament of the Hebrew Slaves

NB This is not a literal translation of the famous choir "Va Pensiero" from the Nabbucco, but just what I felt as when many, many years ago I was in a choir and sang this lovely aria.

********************************************

Listen to our pitiful pleas, Oh Almighty God.
Let them be heard from every mountain and vale.
Let my prayers ascend to Heaven above
That we may one day cross the Jordan
And return to our promised land,
A place of milk and honey and fragrance
Dispersed throughout our sweet native land.

We acknowledge our sinful nature, Lord.
We dared adore other pagan gold and stony idols,
And left you so far away from our laws.
We lament our sins and accept our punishment.
Slavery in pagan Babylon, condemned
To death and other painful beatings.
Yet, if we are not to be allowed to go back to Zion,
At least Almighty God, teach us to endure our sufferings.

Premium Member looks more like Hebrew

Regal owl knew more than most about steampunk and time.
He kept his eye on the prize, understanding priorities more than most.
Is that a Latin tire he stands on, asks a Coplay performer sublime.
Looks more like Hebrew, I said, with a nick of a superior boast.

The Three Hebrew Children

Three Hebrew children
Didn't vow to King's etched bust,
Makes King's blood risen.

Hebrew War

Hebrews war
We see them breaking every law of criminal conduct like it should be an everyday occurrence
We are told by the eminent Jordan Peterson, that the people, from the back and beyond Turkey, are clever, and impressed Peterson who otherwise is pre-occupied with worried builders and carpenters
whom Jordan thinks needs him
You will not hear him say:
“Intelligence, if not combined with sympathy and understanding, is valueless”(like Nazism?)
The land they took, the backwood people, when fooling the Balfour Commission was grotesquely
brilliant and deeply insane.
The Jews are disliked in the Arab world when seeing how shoddy the Palestinians are treated; as we know intelligence can often end as idiocy, as there is no coherent sense of practical awareness which the average Jews understand, relying on bookish learning and forgetting the human aspect, is ten times more clever, but often unable to give a voice for the insight they have.
As for the Jews, they are not nation builders as we see in Israel, they are the people of the book telling us of the next inflation,
In this war, their army behaves as IA doing what is practical, not what is wise.

Lord bless you and keep you, Numbers 6: 24-26
Make his face to shine upon you,
be gracious to you Lord turn his face toward you,
and give you (His) peace. (2Xs)

Amen, Amen, Amen

May His favor be upon you,
to a thousand generations,
and your family, and your children
and their children. (2X) (4X)

May his presence go before you,
                              and behind you,
                              and beside you,
                              and around you,
                              and within you.

                              He is with you,
                              He is in you,
                              in the morning,
                              in the evening,
                              in your coming,
                              and your going,
                              in your weeping,
                              and rejoicing,
He is for you (4X +)

Hebrew Poetry

A Maskil by Anil
Themes that span every emotion
Schemes and plans of enemies
No rhyme but every reason
To thank Creator God for victories

Lord Thy Love bathed us for generations
Lord Thou, ever faithful, so merciful
Lord, without Thee, hate and humiliations
Would be our cup. Worship God Eternal
(Selah! A musical term, or pause)
We praise Him dawn & dusk, First Cause

The Last Hebrew Son

Cursed that I am

This prayer of the last

I have not ended and I will not pass

For devil that has taken its place on Earth

For the havoc upon days he has given it birth

May we rise again, for the fear in your eyes

May the true word of god blaze , too light up the skies

Such worthy is this blood shall bring tears to my eyes

So shall we cast the devil and his followers to their demise.

On this day for the last of the Hebrews shall truly rise..

The Semien Kingdom

the Semienite kings erected stelae
to the kingdom of the wrestling with God;
Ethiopian hinterlands ruled with the iron fist of Judea,
the flag of Magen David swaying in Abyssinian winds.

Judit?battle-hungry commander of war,
panzer-woman of Scriptural Armageddon!

the queen casts her leather noose
and steers the forces of Beta Israel
into a battle of redemption and of honor
conducted in a strong and Hebraic iron tradition
not even a Holocaust could ever quell!

Prayer Morning 20200509

I
"Father" comes naturally
As eyes catch up with body
At this first dawn, we are reborn
Each day we awake. 'Might have gone
Where billions have, when they don't!

II
"LORD" with all the awe of an ancient Hebrew
I utter as my soul does bow
Thank you; YOU deserve all my gratitude
No longer I arise with a past attitude
Today comes with a fresh gift of hours
To do as we please - or upon what's gone before -
LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac, Israel, I praise Thee
If judgment in Covid19, I intercede for mercy
Not just for my country and me, but globally
WE deserve judgment, and we ask for mercy
Jesus showed us THY face of grace
Jesus, Yeshua, who died for us and Earth
To RESTORE, He is Redeemer, why He took birth
God reconciling fallen creation, to Himself
You are from everlasting to everlasting, "I AM"
Our elder siblings said it best, YHWH: Yod Hei Vav Hei
The tetragrammaton, so holy they didn't add vowels
And left it unsaid, so we also say "Lord, as in El Shaddai"
ALMIGHTY, the one who is our Mother, under whose wings
I abide. The secret place, Dear Abba-Father: Messiah-Christ!

(c) Shalom, shalom and amen. SHALL OM (ShalAUM)

Moshe' the Story

Praise the LORD for HIS marvelous works,
Praise the LORD for the deeds HE does,
Praise the LORD for HIS signs and wonders,
Praise our GOD HE is One,

Praise the LORD for HE has done great things,
In the midst of us HE has made the sea dry,
In the midst of us we walked right on through,
In the midst of us the sea was dry land,

Praise the LORD, Praise the LORD, for HIS wonders and might,
Praise the LORD, Praise the LORD, for HIS wonders in our sight,
Glory to the LORD on high, HIS people were in bondage in Egypt,
Glory to the LORD on high, HE heard HIS people's cry from Egypt,

GOD sent to us a man HE had chosen,
GOD sent to us a man who knew Egyptian ways,
He was a Hebrew from his birth, Moshe'
He killed an Egyptian to save another,

Hebrew 12:1-2

My learning......

At times the journey seems difficult
The hillocks of life evolve into mountains
The joy set before, tend to feeble and die
The wishes and hopes we nestle
                    Tend to break loose

But more time is set
We are the horizon facing the destiny
The slip we make
   Wisens and uplifts us

The much worry that girdles us
   Glitters and strengthens our hopes
The most times of a blissful life
Are free from filth of the past
