Good Healthy Habit

A little sweat will go a long way
Exercise keeps your heart healthy
And your muscles strong
And helps in losing weight
Eat green and leafy vegetable
Eat organic and juicy fruits
Drink water in hourly interval
Bath everyday, pray and rest well.

Garlic by the spoonful

Garlic by the spoonful

Premium Member A Day In the Life - Act One

The sex had been amazing. The women mysteries. The alarm a mood breaker. He awoke! Stared at the ceiling, counted the slats in the blinds, scratched himself, sat up on the edge of the bed. On the way to the bathroom he farted. No one complained. The seat was always up. No one complained. The memory of his erotic dream had faded. He ate another bowl of “Heart Healthy Honey Nut Cheerios”. They’re shaped like little hearts, a marketing ploy he figured. The dog looked at him. He wasn’t sure how he wound up with the dog. Maybe the kids gave it to him so he’d have a reason to go walking in the rain. They shared a simple life. They ate, slept, watched TV, and walked in the rain. He cleaned up after the dog, the dog waited outside the bathroom door for him. The cat was a mobile figurine that s**t indoors. The dog would watch him drink his coffee. The cat would ignore them both. The TV weather girl would keep him reflecting on that dream. He would shower later.

Premium Member If An Avocado

If an avocado had a voice, he'd say, "eat me, I'm an excellent food choice".
 If an avocado went to war, his uniform would be green, that's for sure.
 If an avocado made a speech from a podium, he would share with his audience that he's low on sodium. If an avocado went to court and took a plea, he'd surly admit to being cholesterol free. If an avocado was wealthy, he'd pronounce that he was so heart healthy. Eating avocados is a win win. There only eighty calories with twenty vitamins.

A Simple Smile

It brings peace to the whole world,
Stopping both anger and hate;
It wipes out the insults hurled,
Giving love is not too late.

It makes human heart healthy,
Keeping it away from harm;
Cortisol leaves your body,
To have no cause for alarm.

It eradicates the stress,
Offering a boost of mood;
Happiness you must possess,
To make your life free of feud.

It increases endurance,
Strengthening immune system;
To take every golden chance
Of avoiding a mayhem.

Deep Within

deep within the confines of my heart
lies a very special place I keep barren
only a worthy caring person can apply
for admission to this wonderful place

many have tried as many have failed
my bar is set purposely for failure
even if they get close, they still fail

a few months ago, a woman entered my world
with a broken, vulnerable heart, badly crushed
we began a friendship that has continued
to blossom into deep caring feelings for her, for me

she has proven to be worthy of this special place
funny, we made a pinky promise to never purposely
to hurt each other ~to keep our hearts safe from harm

now, she resides permanently inside that special place
she helped open my heart to live once more
having her inside the confines allows me to whisper
the words she needs to hear that will put her heart, healthy

welcome my wonderful, beautiful friend to the heart of
calm serenity and a peacefulness to be free from harm

Premium Member The Food I Love

The Food I Love

To single out one special food
     that really makes me smile
is difficult for sure because
     so many are worthwhile.

But there's a yummy list for me
     within a certain group;
those comfort foods I need and crave,
     like extra creamy soup.

And mac and cheese can make my day
     so filled with carbs and fat.
My heart beats "oh, please think of me...
     my arteries filled with plaque."

Oh, pizza...topped with sausage, cheese,
     stuffed crust and deep dish too;
or bacon-wrapped hot dogs on rolls
     plus fries with barbeque.

Those pasta dishes of all kinds
     heaped high with cheese and meat
and lots of bread and butter too...
     a comfort food retreat.

Grilled-cheese/tomato sandwich packed
     with bacon in the spread;
the calories are off the chart...
     my doc would shake his head.

But comfort food is simply that...
     it makes me feel so fine.
I help to lessen all the harm...
     and drink heart-healthy wine!
