I recall the yelling but silent voice of winter
that broken December when the lights from
lanterns shot up from their wicks with the
fading strength of departing glows abroad.
Twilights hastened through the spine of
receding days, halting the approach of a
wayward Christmas.
The wilderness around us yielded froths from a
puking snowstorm,
fastening laces of Hell with strings of abundant
sleet.

To the one I love
Just because...
And to those who love life
And those who love love!
Through every cranny, every crack
In every nook of every room
It seeks to fill the empty space
And lift the shadowed shade of gloom
So be it hastened by the heart
Or blessed by universal source
Without it, life would simply cease
So never doubt its mighty force
And you, my sweet, on every day
Give freely of your precious gift
And fill this bleak and barren void
To shatter darkness, sure and swift
Yes, it is light of which I scribe
Of which each crack and cranny holds
No matter where and in my heart
I feel the love that it enfolds

It was a long way home
I had wandered for many miles
Searching for that pot of gold
That’s said to be at the end
Of every rainbow
I saw a lot of rainbows
That stretched across galaxies
With no end in sight
But no hint of a pot of gold
Did I see
I encountered a lot of well-polished stones
And although there were
Well worn stones at home
They were warm stones
They had no jagged edges
The closer I got to home
The bigger the pot on the front porch became
And I could see shiny objects
Just out of my reach
I smiled and hastened my steps

While the sun was slipping away
You left me
With a gifted moment
A moment that lessened fears
Yet hastened tears
A moment that spoke to me
Yet set you free
A moment that caressed my heart
Yet put apart
A moment that fostered giving
Yet nurtured living
A moment that clarified a decision
Yet cleared my vision
While the sun was slipping away
You left me
With a gifted moment

Two millenia past, and more.' A night gathering of the
Sanhedrin, which is i beleive of un-law? So not by day under
Gods sun, as Gid advised Moses, justice should be seen to
Be done, Yeshua knew that wrong would be done He also
Knew His accusers ' everyone' tortured and crucified unto
Death, just after forgiving His tormentors, he gave His last
Breath' He was taken down 'His body intact' no bones
Were broken. and such is the fact.' They took His body to
Josephs tomb, wrapped Him and left, they were full of
Gloom.' Yet Jesus In spirit went to hell, in the lowest depths
Did He show and tell ' many beleived and hastened to His side ' He ascended with them to our Father, the Word holds
No lies.' And then great power filled that room all of a sudden a light Intense, etched His form into those sheets.'
There is blood that has been traced and Its living still.' So We hear now my people a great light shone, enough power To shake the earth through the bedrock shows, and so now on to this one' His photo was taken, how typical said the athiest yet His Father
Could have had no camera..' As they were not invented
I hope my point is well taken.?

Unsettling it was
came from where
I did not know,
the jagged claw upon
my chamber floor
so near the cot
where I nightly lay,
have dreamed so snug
feeling quite secure,
sharpest at the edges
capable of tearing flesh
and bone, my innards
deep
how could this hideous
thing unbeknownst stealthily
creep --
perhaps always near
I shuddered to think
somewhere attached to
my spirit long ago -- a
thought too repugnant
I did not want to hear it
from my troubled mind
hastened I to clear it
hungrily latched-on to my
soul, I prayed desperately
to be free of it
confronting my
original abomination --

On bowing to the deity,
I hastened to leave the temple.
God said, you seem to be in undue hurry,
I demurred and said, no it’s just my worry
I might ask for something
That you are hesitant to give,
Which might our long-held rapport spoil.
To that He just smiled graciously,
But what he said set me thinking,
And what will stay with me for long.
You seem to come with a prayer and plea,
Why, come sometimes just to meet me,
I’ll see that you’ll not have to ask
Oft wearing an alibi of a mask
Nor will you look like a beggar
You bring yourself nigh down to be.
I was trying truth to distort,
Truth’s often known to us,
But we set it to sail
He only brought it back to port.

heavily haggard Helena’s haphazard hilarity of harmony
homogenized her humble habitat, in no way hampering her
humanitarian handicap. Hazy harshness hastened
a heartening of her highness’s high hopes for humanity.

Autumn leaves
splash across the earth
with colors from Monet’s palette
hastened by the chilling winds
Autumn leaves
litter paths through woods
redolent of musky-sweet smells
accented by sugar-cone crystals
Autumn leaves
shake and scatter day dreams
posing insatiable predilection
evoking cuddling and coddling
Autumn leaves
memories of those we’ve lost
those we’ve yet to meet
fall within our hearts

Astonished seeing wisdom in one so young,
we hastened to correct parallax of sight,
for did not this soul slowly climb rung by rung,
the ladder of wisdom, now at zenith height?
Our fault line is that we look at outer form,
whilst the soul within has faced many a storm,
life after life, reborn again and again,
revealing a gem that is now free from stain.

TIME
Thought of all the seconds,
That went like a mist at dawn.
Tried to hold all the minutes for lifetime
But it flowed like water with no grapple
Waited for the hours of fortunes that I desiderate
As you are the sun that quenches every soul of an incarnate
But being in you can burn the spirits with fiery fire
Hastened to get rid of the all the days of stormy clouds
Disregarding the silver linings around them that one needs to count on
And learned that you are the equinox of every mortal
Hoped for the years to go right
never disappointed even when the right seems to be left
All the ups and downs you placed
All the love and hatred you showered
All the laughs and cries that I held
Trickled in the brink of the eye
Waiting for you at the edge of the door
where you passed like a breeze that never noticed
Awaiting all the moments to fill again

Of Passing Cloud
- Roger White
Unaware of the world below, a wispy cloud suspended between Heaven and Earth
drifts westward against an azure sky…
…blithely
As if coaxed by an unseen presence or hastened by a gentle call,
reaches the setting sun of the western horizon…
…quietly
Awash in hues of gold, beautiful and radiant,
delicate tendrils touch the night’s first stars…
…gently
A wispy cloud escapes the bonds of Earth,
ascends into the embrace of Heaven…
…peacefully

Spring
the first winter, after a long war, was cold
today snow was slushy, the beginning of spring
a poor street, houses
had not been painted for years
not much foo, the ice was reluctant to let go
of its pale grasp
It was then I saw a wall of flaking paint
a solitary yellow flower, the color so bright it
blinded me
I had a moment of clarity, I understood
and saw it all
In the windows of old houses, curtains
and sills
flowers in pots of empty tins
humanities need for beauty
I must not forget, hastened home to write
the wonder of life.
So long ago now, spring 1948
people were friendly back then we had suffered
together and survived
