Like Smith and Wesson:
Weaponry,
What comes shooting out,
Every word of me;
Endowed with a round,
Butt, and balcony,
She harkens to hotness:
A Summer eave;
Like hovering the darkness:
A green gable,
Canopy –

Rippling soil sways in ways
In ways a maestro drunkenly
Displays their baton, Earth in
Perfect fluid Earthen motion
It conducts and plays en tandem
The symphony of syrup season
Rings through Vermont’s silken air
Each movement weaves effortless
In majesty.
Hickory smoke leaves the sap house
The chorus of birch bark harkens
Weaving through the chimney’s maw
A mirror of the lone sugarmaker
His jaw a practiced spile, he is
The arch in the evaporator
With a puff of Cuban Affair kush
He admires the beauty of the
sugarbush

'Neath a banner wrought in darkness,
After eave has fallen nigh,
The chosen moment harkens,
To the insect's lullaby;
The cars abide in flight,
Like when clouds amount the sky;
I've imbibed the type of night:
A stillness whispered into sigh –

Wettened by the morning dew
Closely spaced where rows of roses grew
Footprints stained the cobblestone
Where my love and I had walked, alone
Picturing us hand in hand
Walking slowly, stopping just to stand
Sharing love with our sweet kiss
Harkens back fond memories of bliss

delicate and pretty
lacy with ribbons
shy sky blue orbs
hastily look away
she is as lovely as the sea
and probably twice as dangerous
he cannot take his eyes off her
bonnet curls are beautiful, probably soft

Of all have seen,
I can't deny how true you are.
The special being-
You are a wonder.
Jokes nonstop mix with truth
Till stubborn heart harkens
And mouth opens wide displaying each tooth
That in love, cheerful ears listen
Don't know what more
Anyone else can look out for
In someone s/he adores
Who comes out raw
May the good lord strengthen you
To have all troubles silent
As you journey through grace in blue
May you in heaven not be found absent
Age gracefully, dear mum
Stay safe and live well
To enjoy glorious years to come
In favor and good luck, do dwell...

Twas deep within my golden years
when youth came rushing back
Tired of being left behind
seducing what I lack
Clocks run down as midnight harkens
options running thin
Amorous feelings lost to time
whose walls are closing in
But then an archer from the past
tightens up my bow
One arrow left to fire off…
that girl I used to know
It flies directed from my hand
t’ward one I left so young
To strike a memory buried deep
—of first love woe begun

That Secret Place That Glows
Now alone she ponders the persuasive reality of emotive vulnerability
The stranger vanished while magical moments persisted and lingered on
Sleight of hand is a nemesis obliged to invoke the dynamics of incongruity
Undeterred are elements of rapture like sand dunes on a distant blue lagoon
Instants in retrospect revealing acts of what transpired provokes no surprise
Depicting scenes of tough roller coaster rides and confrontations with woes
Seeking solace from failed endeavors the heart harkens to own the prize
Courage trump defeat leading her love to that secret place that glows

When Spring arrives, season of blooms,
Flowers chuckle, happiness looms,
Buds peak out their heads and life jives,
Season of blooms, when Spring arrives,
Sunlight mellow spreads out its rays
On floral beauty after days,
Red and orange, pink and yellow,
Spreads out its rays, sunlight mellow,
Those lilting refrains of sweet birds
Bestows a poet with new words,
One can listen to the fresh strains
Of sweet birds - those lilting refrains,
The cool breeze blows softly through leaves,
A bard's soul harkens and believes
That rejuvenating hope glows
Softly through leaves, the cool breeze blows.

Vivid colors light up the night sky
Embers of promise whispering why
Must I find a dream?
Sweet insight harkens my flight
As I work to make the world bright
Will I wear a smile?
Soft memories encourage my heart
Reminding me just where I may start
Can I inspire a wish?

It is not my silence that harkens your thought
it only enhances demanding desires
a whirlwind stoking of latent fires
manifesting in the mind at rest
bolts of lightning
ilumini
where colours explode
sparking the dark
painting an elegant sky
kissing of the rivers
not long for dry
violet to green
sails full mast
waves pounding
pushing, pulling
pondering
moments left at sea
I see
blue
in rose's stubborn petals
barking back at the wind
bending her ear
to the echo of spring
when she shall bloom
full flower
exposed
naked to her sun
and her scent
seducing the one who wanders her grounds
unlock the rusted gates of heaven
fill out the prophecy of man
dry off those feathers and fly
for above you can see clearly
beauty
so natural, so free

The hour passed midnight harkens
with dying star glow twinkling in the darkness
and the moon is a crescent clouded by the wind
I'll say my last goodbye to you.
The years were straining
hanging on the next escape
with hearts broken
and nothing left to say.
No magic pill or healing concern
soothes the sheltered burns
and two love-torn souls gasp
at the anguish we unlashed.
So let the children sleep
our spent dreams have reached their peak
and neither you nor I can find
the effort in forgiveness and its rewind.
I'll slip away quietly
in the shadows of this night
this is my last goodbye
our final fight.

The house is now quiet,
the children have gone
My beard they’ve left ruffled,
as memories grow long
With trains and dolls scattered,
where last they played
Their love remains buried,
inside of the maze
The cupola harkens,
a last candle there burns
As the attic sits waiting
for the toys to return
The old house is silent,
but deep from within
Their laughter still hides
—and my searching begins

In fiery
chaos
flames flick
toward
things
the
heat in
my heart
harkens
memories
to bring.
Winter white
jacket
my
son
loved
so much
it's been
eight years
since it felt
his touch.
My moms garnet
she wore
on her hand
an empty
circle
now silent
gold
band.
My favorite
stuffed bear
with the
hole in
his
gut
and nose
chewed off
by my
childhood mutt.
The certificate
to prove
I entered
this life
yet amiss
and
burned
is the suffer
and strife.
Oversized
wretched purse
that
collects
the stuff
my shoulder
cries out
enough
enough!
The journal
to witness
Gods
goodness
to me
an heirloom
the promise
my family
tree.
Eyeglasses
behold
the beckoning
blaze
bow
with the
curtain
continue
lifes'
maze.
