Spring Hope

When Spring arrives, season of blooms,
Flowers chuckle, happiness looms,
Buds peak out their heads and life jives,
Season of blooms, when Spring arrives,

Sunlight mellow spreads out its rays
On floral beauty after days,
Red and orange, pink and yellow,
Spreads out its rays, sunlight mellow,

Those lilting refrains of sweet birds
Bestows a poet with new words,
One can listen to the fresh strains
Of sweet birds - those lilting refrains,

The cool breeze blows softly through leaves,
A bard's soul harkens and believes
That rejuvenating hope glows
Softly through leaves, the cool breeze blows.

What a beauty is this lovely "Springy" poem, Jo. It makes me long for those perfect Spring bteezes and blooms once again...instead of this HOT summer. Good luck in the contest. :D
