A HARDEN HEART NOW SET APART SOFTENED-

All I had was a heart of stone;
My Father came along and molded it
Made it soft, softer than clay
Remade me whole, a better way

All I had was a cold, cold heart
Jesus came along and warmed it up
Now I am a part of His fresh warm breath
He placed me upon

Her Blacken Silhouette Has a Harden Heart-

was she unruly, unholy
questions placed and asked
she stood before me blacken
in her silhouette she was dark
shade and shape of black
draped down her strains of hair colored dark
nothing but midnight loss of color roth
absent of pigment color loss
invisible at night
yet at daylight, days she shines
she glows out
her spirit soul is light
as her heart is hard and

Solid Harden Bleak Stilled Heart-

Solid harden black stilled heart
Blood flowing yet spiritually stuck
Tired and exhausted toward the mouth
Cold, miserable distain spewing out 
spinning, twirling like a flag on a pole
Dripping, driving like a man on a mission
Repented on the fallen on knees

The Final Hours

Inspire lines, Lord Grant my mind'  within these treacherous turbulent times;
Misdirection now so normal, masks great evil in modes quite formal.
The forces at Dunkirk; faced death, yet shared their courage and laboured breath
As from their islands boats were readied, by good hearted folk; intent and steady
The churches filled; and so many pews, exhorting God

Harden His Heart Is-

his heart is hardened
 rock solid emotionless
 no apathy found

spirits rains in lots distrust

A Harden Stone Heart-

A heart coldest now stone
Stone doesn't pump anymore 
tensions build solid to the core
 Love has gone 
And the heart no longer beats on 
Such a hardened heart

Rock Harden Heart

Thought in vain rests on rock
Deep thought enters the heart
Rock is to heavy for the soul
It crushes deep thought

Those who live in a rock house
Should not though glass
Eventually cutting deep into a soul
Emptying the love of a heart

A rock will never warm without fire

The darkness settles in my chest
like a heavy beast crouched
waiting to pounce
patiently he counts
the minutes that add up to years
storing the repressed tears
and smothered hate
that only add to his weight.

He keeps the dark memories alive
catches me by surprise
re-running scenes on
my mental movie screen.

Their clarity is unaffected
by the passage of time.
They plague me without
reason or rhyme,
sabotage

I watched in disbelief
as I saw her hand reach
flash of white sleeve
her back as she turned to leave

and the brick that fell
as time stood still
it tumbled down in slow motion.

And I was only three
and powerless to move
or voice a warning
stuck in the molasses
of that summer morning.

and truth be told
he was out for

So Chris and I became aware
very young
that she really didn't care

and might even watch us die
without blinking an eye.

Our goal was to survive
until we were

old enough to be missed

should her control slip
or temper ignite
on some hot summer night.

We were never free
of her clutches
we'd cringe when
she'd touch us

but we would have given our lives
to have seen

The damn memories
are still so clear.

And now I am alone,
the only one left
because my brother
sliced his neck
in what has become
a family tradition,
that is, to leave
of your own volition.

If I could only get
the reruns to quit
maybe my goddamned
head wouldn't split

and I wouldn't feel so

fragmented

broken into a million
disassociated pieces
in a fugue
until it ceases.
