From lights and stilts
the hat tips down
an adoring voice
welcomes the crowd
From end to end the tent fills with laughter
and every second there's a passing actor
from the car you drove in residing inside
the make up covers your face and tears in your eyes
you'd never thought you'd be here
you'd never thought to try
but in the end at the circus
the tight rope you walk on
was not held so high
so keep your chin up
and raise your fist
honk your horn
and balance on your wrist
for this is the show
and you are the clown
and the only fool that is here
is the crowd left profound
All that
remains
of our
love
is a faded Polaroid,
a carton of cigarettes,
and two cases of beer.
I'll forget you soon,
but for now,
I'm cracking open
another one—
let's hope these
memories
blur!
All that
remains
of our
love
is a faded Polaroid,
a carton of cigarettes,
and two cases of beer.
I'll forget you soon,
but for now,
I'm cracking open
another one—
let's hope these
memories
blur!
The days slip by, one by one.
The page stays blank,
flickered with tears.
A line or two finally appears—
hope ignited, just to be extinguished.
The flame of hope barely exists anymore.
The haha moments
floating away,
dispersed like a big, fluffy cloud—
poof—
the words disappearing into the big blue sky,
leaving without a sound.
The words no longer burning,
no more yearning—
just being, just thinking,
just sitting without words.
The complexity of life—
no need to rewrite.
A different picture:
a big blank canvas.
No more poetry.
Tonight, the words are sleeping
quietly,
exhausted from the sleepless nights.
Through my years of defiance
And lust for reliance
I bid the underlying truth within the words
'help me'
For whatever shall come of my untimely departure
Shall configure to my last forgotten desire
Is it my sultry dance that keeps me coming for anew
Or is it something to do with my lore
Whatever it is, dear reader
Only time can bid the truth
Only one can impare my desires
I'll make this quick, I'll keep it short, you don't have to read a whole sonnet
Yesterday, I got a nametag sticker... but forgot to write my name on it!! :-O
Here's the 'Poem of the Day'
If it's not selected, it's not OK
It rhymes in time, truly chimes ~

Capture emotions
Like fireflies in a jar.
Catch times
Like a dream catcher.
If I could stop these times
And nestle a home in these feelings,
I’d live here forever
Feeding off salted almonds and music
Soon there’s a break
Will you grow away from me?
I know my worries are foolish
But i’d like to capture you
Like words in a poem,
I hope they’ll hold this moment still.
So I can live in it forever
And ignore life once we drift
Would you care if I did?
Be bitter that i’d ignore you,
Just ti write you on paper
So i’d have you even after I lost you.
I‘m a skinny hungry ghost fill my bag till it bursts
with your candies hard and soft jelly beans tootsie rolls
fill! Or I’ll sac you into my bag tie and sell you
to witches as a rag at the HAHA Trading Post
where the caldrons are steaming hearts in snake oil rats and frogs
rattling through the eerie night waiting for children blood
skeleton heads, empty eyes, bones and teeth, screeching sounds
witches dancing with vampires vomiting children blood
headless knights on horseback riding branding bloody swords
wood legged pirates from the sea: slimy hairs, warty skin
sounds of heavy footsteps coming, dinosaurs charging
winged monsters claws as spikes, hooting owls, crawling spiders
Thanks and BOO! Go inside, have a hollowed ghastly night.

My two dogs are having a cow
Because of all the firework noises that are going on
They are barking their heads off
Haha
I think I am going to have to put some earplugs on them
They are looking at me with their heads cocked to one side
As if asking me
Well, Fifi and Napoleon
It’s your welcoming pop to test your hearing
To make sure you are up for the job
Which is protecting me, you hear?
Lol
They wouldn’t let up
They are going to be barking another day
Tomorrow
Ha
So you know what you want?
Opinion or fact?
Love
Lord
Every word that eye right;
Carries sum cents; when ewe here it with
Yore inner I.
Maybe this bee N Impossible task;
Four if eye M knot write.
Their wood be know reason two meat them with yore mind.
I... don’t mean to waste your time,
But... boy dose me wife bloody whine.
Do this, do that,
The miserable old bat
I found peace when I pickled her in brine
Be taught to teach no rhyme in foot
Could I write A little neater tutor
a good writ does not think he pens paper
My spelling is what you say professor
Wrong no sense trying to argue that point
Can I take a stab at grammar ain’t where
Maybe I could do something else my coach
There is always faith to be like someone
Could be a pundit that was intended
I will learn from the best one of us all
Haha
[3/27/07]
you say you didnt lie
oh no not once
i knw this isnt true
maybe its just a hunch
but im not intirely stupid
or blonde out of my mind
i may be a little slow
but i will get it if you give me time
you kind of screwed me over
and left me haning there
well now at least im sober
no longer with a care
because the moment you gave me room
my eyes began to wonder
another great adventure
i was ready to plunder
and then i layed eyes on him
the cutest of them all
tossed you in the recycle bin
and now im having a ball
