I miss people far too much haha
If I only had more friends to hang out with during the week,
Would it make me happy?
Happiness from God is what I seek...loneliness doesn't have to be lonely, for it never made me weary or weak
It makes me so alive...
I'm a survivor! I'm braver
Than a bunch of body guards...
Or...at least I thought so, until social angstiety crept on in
On me day and night.
Gotta run away
I wanna hang around
My head all the way
In the without-a-sound ground
Silence is not bliss...
It's painful...nothing that I'll ever miss
When I turn 21, I may drink my life away
If not, wish me a sun-shining day...
Because I want to be happy
Happy
And forget about
Society anxiety
No added doubt
I wanna be free

Life is meant to live
It's not living if you are bound by restrictions, confinement
Find your own world
Tune your own horn
Live life to the limit
Do you have a limit?
Remember God is a unlimited God
When did He give you a limit?
Think about it
He wouldn't do to you something He wouldn't do for Him
Remember it's all in your head
You got to push that aside
And say "no, this is how I want it"
Don't let society dictate how you live your life
You dictate it
Take control of your life
Ahh I forgot
God steers the wheel
With you at the driver seat
Do you get what I am saying?
Do you remember your college days?
At a school dance
Asked someone to dance
They asked you to dance
Is everyone still doing that?
Seems like it was a long time ago
Did we actually do those things?
Now think of it
I feel a little embarrassed
But brought a chuckle to my face
We actually did that!
Have no shame
Those little carefree days
We were so innocent then
Are we still innocent lol?
I think I am
I still think of love with open eyes
Watching
Don’t know what I am watching for
A connection
A sense of foreverness

I am going to write a funny poem
Why? Because I feel like it
Why do you go the extra mile?
Great waistline my friend
C'mon
I love watching "Impractical Jokers"
Why? They are so outrageous and daring
Something I wouldn't do

How would you like it if everything you say
makes people laugh?
I don't think you would enjoy it
Because you don't know if they laugh with you
Or at you
I am a couch potato
Is anyone like me?
I don't want to do nothing
I just want to sit on my recliner and chill
Until I get my fill
I just can't get over how funny God is
He makes some of us like dark meat
and some of us like white meat
I am talking about chicken, mind you
Just think how wasteful it would be if all of us like dark meat
Or white meat
This way nothing goes wasted
Why do you think I am attracted to you?
God my friend
He puts something in you that causes something in me pulled lol
Yeah He has a sense of humor
I can sit here all day and talk about how funny God is
Why do you think some birds think of dancing for their mates?
Do you think it can just think of it?
Or do you think God is behind it?
Yeah you too
You would dance for your mate if you have a chance
And make a fool out of yourself
You don't care
Because it's called love
Ohhh
I could swear they put something in my Coke
Why do you think I have to have a Coke each day
Yeah it's no good
It's addicting
I think it's the sugar
Or the caffeine
Whatever it is, it is pulling me
to McDonald's
Got to stay away from that place
I am becoming a kid all over again
We had a celebration at work
to celebrate "Black History"
I am telling you
I admire the achievements they have done
and know they may have more to come
Just think how many obstacles they have overcome
Can you do it?
Talk about resilience
Endurance, strength, and so much more
Don't let the stereotype blinds you

You look better that way

I am going to write about violence
What is violence?
Is it when you invade on other people's rights
and cause harm?
Or is it when you do with such force
that could cause harm?
Whatever it is
It is good to know that we need to stay away from violence
Whether exposing ourselves
through movies, dramas, episodes
or practicing it
We need to stop
Guard it
Guard your heart
Don't let it hardened
And think everything is the norm
Everything is not a norm
Only the good and worthy are the norms
We live in such a violent world
that if we don't guard ourselves
We will be sucked into it
When was the last time you were sucked into violence?
Can you be sucked into violence?
Have you ever heard "it's a vicious cycle"?
Yes that is what violence is
- A vicious cycle
Someone got to break it
And it could be you
Don't practice it
Say "stop"
Whatever you should do
to make yourself stop it
You cannot do it on your own
You need others' help
God's help
He will help you
if you reach out and ask for it
No one should go into a vicious dismemberment
That is what it is
It is cutting your head from your body
That you can't think
You lost it
Anyhow get some help, will ya?
If you are a victim of violence
You need help too
Sometimes the help you need the most
is the emotional help
Get with someone
You need to get the darkness out
So you can see the light
Sometimes if only you could see
Whatever it is
Remember light drives out darkness
Expose yourself to the light
God's light
Any lights
Light in people
Light in you
Find it
Then you will be the one
- the champion of your own life

nowhere to go in an open sea,
lost with somewhere to go
a sleepless dream
or was it a dreamless sleep?
getting confused with the steadiness
of finally feeling a constant heartbeat
slowing down in the fast lane...
unpredictable in the land of inevitability
the silence of the heart
thunders
in the mind
niggling...refusing to accept
what it all means, what it implies
denial or is it blindness?
putting up a **deep facade
but really
just floating--
feet on the clouds
with head in the ground
solid stone crumbles to dust
as ice melts the fire
of resistance--now sputtering,
sparkling shyly
as diamonds would
upside down
right side up
downside up
up side left
head tucked in
with neck sticking out
heart in throat, swallowing it
getting thirsty in the rain
fools made out of geniuses
or is it
geniuses made out of fools?

so many are lost in it,
puzzling the mystified
and the rational
yet many understand it
when things fall into place
but
once a missing piece does fit,
it only finds other mysteries
stumbling on answers
in organized chaos
no wonder
people go crazy over it
