The Great Divide

Death,

it shall come to us all.

Some people go to their grave with their lies for that I will never understand. No
shame.

Feel my wrath and feel my fury for I am a
scomed woman.

It’s hard to let go of the concept that no
one cares while simultaneously wrapping
your head around the fact that the person
you knew put up a facade.

What is the joke of death?
Life.

With how many abandonments I have
experienced you would think Id be used to
it, right? It hurts so much each time…. I
know the process…. I can't help being sad
though…how do you move on knowing
they're out there just fine and moving on.
Oh wait, there's no cholce but to go on. Its
soul crushing. It’s living in agony some
days until it gets better. Hopefully it stays
better longer this time. To the better days
??????

"And I will be content in every
circumstance

How do you know where to fall if you cant see?

He is the light, my whole, the pure

This time was different…it was the final goodbye.

And finally

The war is over

Premium Member God and Man - the Great Divide

Compare the evidence of a real divide
so far apart are truly God and man
the comparisons are really traumatic
consider all that covers this great span

God is far greater than created man
always eternal knows everything
fully perfect with no hint of sin
fully spiritual with great blessings to bring

God is never irritable, edgy, fatigued, or depressed
nor is stressed, moody, or never at all blue
His anger never ever had a short fuse
this God's word reveals what is true

Our God is above all possibility
of being touchy, cranky, or temperamental
instead is infinitely energetic, so unbounded
but also like Jesus was meek and gentle

This God is by far the greatest
He far exceeds all that's human
being eternal has always been here
so ask God to do what He can!

The Great Divide

She is far too Left.

Once I thought I saw her lurch
to the Right -
it might have been
too much tequila.

She eats fancy ice creams
and does not care to share.
Generally speaking
she is against everything.

Politics came between us:
His name was Nigel.

I had heard and read about it.
This time, I actually saw the sign.
The sign read, The Great Divide,
and I was crossing it on I-80W;
leaving rivers flowing toward the Atlantic,
and joining rivers flowing toward the Pacific.

A great divide is here
Not, the Grand Canyon
Or our weather from East to West
Or even North to South
But, it is the divide amongst our people
It has grown wide enough in areas,
Too distant to reach in areas at times
With reasoning falling, between sides to the ground
It is a choice to be deaf to opposite opinions
When there can be pieces of truth to both sides
Twisting false accusations fly with the wind
Then, insults sadly become the normality
In order to understand, there must be attention to listen
In order to connect, one must believe in many points of view
Not only one in which everyone should follow
Because there are different pre-cursers to things
There is always a background that may not be known
It seems there also must be space to accept we may be wrong
Especially when facts are missing or left ignored
It is about a big picture that brings reason to both a great divide and resolution
This way, we can live together with our individuality,
So that we can complement one another in a positive way

To Span the Great Divide

How seldom do things work
     out the way you say
I haven’t any figures yet
     but i’m sure it’s rare
and happens less often still
     despite that incessant mind.
We cheer for things turned right
     and in our favor, fully
and totally, for all is well
     with winning tickets won.

The winning was always to win
it was only a matter of time
before the losing came about
     with strokes of great precision
It was this all along, in hand
with great hope to doubt fate
or destiny or some like word—
     ‘chance’ we have often said
(chance that we should master it
and say it worth the wager
chance that you were holding
     some refuge from the loss
chance that i was out
no more than what I cast)
for chance and hope alike

     to span the great divide.

The Great Divide

With every uncertainty the rich get more greedy
and larger grows the great divide
a great plague stretching worldwide

And each and every person's tear
is nothing in the corporate eye

The land of opportunity
where opportunity has ceased to be

Each day politicians boast jobs
they fail to say how many are lost

The wars go on
we cannot win but refuse to loose
not counting the money and souls already lost

Change, but no one knows what change they want
only that what's happening today
is a deth sentance for generations to come

The Great Divide

Racism
Schism
A void
To Altruism

A means
Promote
A path
To more division

The color
The people
Is purple
Ever equal?

Is there
Some way
To span
Across the Steeple

In truth
We lie
And know
Consistent evil

Deny
Deny
The populous
Primeval

Sterling river under bridge
Worlds ever apart

The Great Divide

It is complete
All has completely gone to waste
You fear
I believe
I don't have time to bring back our lives
Together
It's not like I have givin up on you
You have givin up on me
It is done
You have helped me build this canyon
You retire
I press on
Just when it seems that our lives are coming back
Together
We've all been scattered by this divide
All I want is to be on your side
Separated
We're not the same
On unequal ground
We've lost so much
Let the great divide never keep us apart
Forever too long
It is complete
All has completely gone to shame
You always fear
I just believe
