Premium Member Goth Toad's New Perspective

the gothic toad had a duty to do his best
he rose from his grave determined to never rest
I shall smite the enemy, and right the wrongs he said
He had truly become a formidable advocate since being dead.

Premium Member Spirits spell

Calling the spirit to tell me a spell
I need to seek revenge
A spell for me

Take a piece wood
Carve a face
A silver chain
Wrap chain round and pull side to side
Cursing the one you hate

The 'Ones

I long for the shore amidst the storm
As the waters rattle my cold bones

I ask for help across the yonder
The darkness holds me under the stones

I want to leave, can't say live
Life's given me a bed of pointed cones

Pleas bounce back on walls so thick
Echoes of silence stab me like thorns

I sink from shallow to something deeper
An orchestra plays those deathly tones

I fear for death as it never ends there
Still in limbo I'll hear my own mourns.

Premium Member Waiting For Santa

I sat on the edge of the roof, studying the horizon
Waiting for the do-gooder, who makes me wretch
He will not be ho-ho-ho-ing after I get finished here.
I feel something protruding from my left incisor.
Remnants of last year’s Santa.

The night is still, the ambiance makes me giddy.
There is an evilness afoot that delights my black heart.
I imagine what I will be doing to this year’s cheerful idiot.
My teeth gnash hard, practically breaking.
I am ready for the fool who dares approach.

“It is Krampus!” I hear someone yell.
Three midnight friendly humans begin throwing hard things up on the roof.
I will return fire later. Right now there is only one victim.
I watch for him, hoping he will be nauseously joyful.
Those are the kinds of Santas whom I enjoy slicing and devouring the best.
A wolf howls, feeling my excitement.
I lie in wait, sitting on the chimney now.
I can practically taste salty blood.
I salivate in readiness.

Goth Heart

A little girl since young
Got a goth heart next to her lung

She’s in black attire and black eyeliner
Smeared teardrops and a wrist covered in muddy slops
Got a tattoo on her skin that’s been chopped and chopped

A little girl since young
Got a goth heart beating underneath her chest
Never knew why she looked the way she looked when she undressed
She's been alone since sixteen, been floating somewhere in the south-west

A little girl since young
Got a goth heart next to her lung

Goth heart and goth love
God gave her stitched skin, a goth heart, and words from above
She’s died over and over again,
there's an angel flying above her head,
circling above her, just like a mourning dove.

Premium Member Goth Before Goth Was a Thing

They shuffled as an angry group
Eyes averted, as if they were ashamed of themselves
My daughter never used to be like that
But she had been ushered in,
She acted like she was one of them

Her Pollyanna side rarely came out these days.
She was wearing dark eyeliners, and had painted her room black.
I had not heard of Goth yet, for it was only the middle seventies.
Her friends began hanging around, wordlessly, on my couch.
If I came into the room and tried to converse, they left.
So I came in the room quite often.

She had lost her way, so to speak.
I knew it, but we were new in town.
She was glad to have friends, even if they were posers.
We had moved a lot. She had given up much.
She needed them at this time,
For pretend friends were better than no friends at all.

I was relieved when she decided to trade them in for the service.
The day she joined the Air Force, I rejoiced,
Figuring this bunch of angry downers would not follow her.
I was right.
They didn’t.
After basic training, she began to smile again.
And she had new friends.
God works in mysterious ways.

Goth Times

Goth Times
I always liked the darker side of life
From war and weapons and planes
Horror films were cool and there were many
Like Hammer House of Horror
Plus Frankenstein and Dracula
And gothic music and art and cathedrals
A gothic cool that other things lack
There were also pubs and clubs and gigs
All vied for my attention
My black clothes always fitted in
Bike jacket boots jeans and t-shirt
Everything gothic was mine
This fell onto me as a child and teen
And would remain till the end

Happy V-Day Mofo , Electropopdance-Poppop-Trapnu-Goth Pop

you got my hart
and its twisted and raw
guess what?
I, wrapped it in
some bloody SPONGE GAUZE

only to serve it to
my favorite god

so stop dragging it
through the mud

do you know how
much i don't
love you

right now!

I'm going to kill you
with my love

(hook three times )
I'm going
I'm going
love you

(hook two times)
beat it up
knock it out
I'm going to
i'm going to
drag it around

(hook one time)
I'm going to
i'm going to
love you to death

(hook said in whispers - many times and one time loud)
even if it kills
you

Happy Valentine's Day MOFO

Goth Fly

There's a fly in the house of goth. On the wall listening in. What's being said? The fly is keeping quiet. If you wanna know, go there yourself. The house of goth is a dark old place. Full of people like me. Are you one of them? Or an outcast? Not even suitable for the house of goth. For we are the goths. Even flies are welcome in the house of goth.

A selection from my collection (hey! that's a poem, a selection from my collection!) Daisy Zoo and Other Punk-ass Nonsense (Duck's-foot Tree, 2016).

He Is a Typical Goth

"He is a typical Goth. That what I think so",-
Thought the parrot, looked at the crow.
"Gay" - the crow thought, looked at the parrot ...
That why he looked such gaily, aberrant.

Goth Girl

Goth Girl, ebony black, manners slack, hit the sack
Gothic, Hispanic, remote chic, slick, sick
Goth Girl, non- conform, nonsense, hence
Gothic, lick lick lick, slurp, chirp
Goth Girl, tongue stud, bottle of bud, I could
Gothic, unromantic, drink quick, be sick
Goth Girl, give us a twirl, strip naked, curl
Gothic, sarcastic, bombastic, bliss, give us a kiss
Goth Girl, heart of stone, all alone, have a bone, go away, stay
Gothic, strange chic, sober, drunk, hic hic
Goth Girl, steer clear, cheers, rent arrears
Gothic, ankle boots with zip, zipperty doo dah, wheres the bar
Goth Girl, sexually free, three in a bed in garden shed, she said
Gothic, food on tick, pan non-stick, chuck a brick, night in nick
Goth Girl, nose ring, ring in nipple, bed is triple
Gothic, not the same, no shame, insane, country lane
Goth Girl, love you, love to screw, screw you, you too
Gothic, lethargic, Nostalgic, cares not, eats snot
Goth Girl, has knits, squeeze your zits, sqeeze your ****
Gothic, give us a twirl, Tobacco bag, share your shag
Goth Girl, Dark Sin, Virgin, like twin
Goth Girl, Hygiene, squeaky clean, smokescreen

Goth Girl

GOTH GIRL

Sitting beside two Goth girls;
Black hair, black clothes,
Black eyelashes,
silver studs in the knee-length boots,
pale daughters-of-Dracula complexions.

I could be in Whitby for a Goth convention,
standing on a crag
looking out on the cold North sea,
but I'm having a coffee break
from learning Swedish,
and the blonde thread running
through my thoughts
has been momentarily lost,
a shadow darkens the sun.

Sneaking a glance at her chill loveliness;
no fangs or love bite from the master
blemish her ivory neck,
and I laugh behind my newspaper,
laugh at the adult restraint
I have to honour,
laugh at the sentence,
Welcome to my castle!

She turns to look my way
but I have to get going
- Age before Beauty -
before the light of those eyes
makes me break
my thousand-year silence.
