Good Time Poems | Examples

Now is a good time to do something

Between the death and birth
there is absolutely an unknown period of time;
But for the time, you have a little value, just like a dime;
And if you are a real ding-dong,
you are likely to think that it will last long;
However, look and see how fast your days goes by,
that’s why today is a good time to do something
before you say to life “GOOD BYE”

Her pinup, hung high on the wall,
caught many a lad in its thrall.
As he reached for that Fawcett,
hit the soap, slid across it.
Thank goodness the sink broke his fall!

Premium Member Me Time Is Good Time

Now having been retired for a decade
this has given me time to think
now having so much me time on hand
consider the benefits, put down in ink

This time makes me feel so glad
deep down inside there's a real peace
knowing my times are my own to be alone
wishing for these times never to cease

Relaxing the brain is so cool
just lie back and soak in your thoughts
listen to pure smooth classical sounds
so soothing to ponder catching each shot

So much quality time to take in
just there feeling nice to be alone
enjoy your silence so very still
moments keep close never blown

Personally in my special me time
love to lie low being just still
bringing thoughts to my mind poetically
metaphorically climbing up my rhymeful hill

Good Time

Time will come
when you will give me
Reasons for raising issues
Which need solid answers
In many countries.

Good Time Lyrics

We had a good time
But Now
I realise
Your somebody else's lover

And you were the one
Who made me feel so good
What Am I supposed To do?

I met you asking for directions
Oh what a night
We rode around
With the top down

Blasting out tunes
I took you to places you had never been before
We partied until it was light
We even broke up another
Lovers fight

Oh what a night
You served me dinner on a tray with a napkin on your arm.
My,
you had so much charm
You wrote me a letter
Saying I am the one

Then I find out your somebody’s else’s lover
You made me feel so good
What am I supposed to do?

I write a letter right back to you
Saying
Enough is enough!
I can’t go on
Cause You better give it all you got
you never know what you got
until it’s gone

I cannot be your part time lover
Thanks for the compliment
But just love your wife
Like no other

Listen baby
You keep ya fire burning
Get back to loving her.
Forget about us.
Put our love aside
You can work it out.

Farewell
My fond temporary moment
It was fun

Farewell

It's Not a Good Time

How often have we heard that - quite a lot,
like when a dead body was found in the pool,
of course, nobody knew how it got there at all,
conveniently covered up, another brick in the wall.

Found in bed with someone else, at least female,
needless to say, your popularity begins to pale,
although if you're president, things can be raised,
like a dress to see what's underneath, as you gazed.

I climbed a mountain and there was no way down,
then you really start to feel like a goddamn clown,
mother caught me looking at some boy's dick,
which seemed to reduce in size as though by magic.

However, like an accountant - many things come to nought,
just remember the commandment: 'Thou shalt not get caught.'

Good Time Bad Time

life can be rough
sometime tough
we must stick as a bunch
and roll with the punch
put our trouble behinh
there's
GOOD TIME AND BAD TIMES

Do your best
Brave the day
Say a little prayer
Wear a smile
Conquer your fear
Face the darkness
Read a book
Give to someone
Let out a loud laugh.

Leave the rest to love.

Christmas a Good Time to Look For Alternatives

Christmas seems to be a good time,
To look for alternatives in good time,
While we still can have a good time.

Christmas seems to bring out the best,
So we can be at our best,
And the worst does not look the best.

It may be the silly season,
But alternatives look best in this season than,
In any other season.

So Lets put some alternatives in our New Year Resolution,
Be prepared to stand by that resolution,
And not give in to an alternative resolution.

Christmas is the one time of year we can freely mix,
And put alternatives in the mix,
While drinks we mix.

Christmas is the time to appreciate our planet,
A time when we are not looking for an alternative planet,
But alternatives so we can stay on this planet.

Good Time To Write a Poem

For now is the time
 to write a poem
Get my feelings on paper
So I can make it through the night
Hope the words turn out right
I have spoken with friends
and before the night ends
The poem will be done
Tomorrow might be fun
   But tonight I write
Get my feelings on the page
and no critic, pundit, or sage
can stop the words from flowing
These words will be showing
What my heart has known for a while
That words can make one smile
If they are carefully written
And is you are smitten
by the muse
then you can get to chose
what to put down on you pad
If it's good or if it's bad
If it is happy or sad
It is your poem and I feel
that poetry is for real
Something that lingers long
like a refrain from
a pretty song
So as the night wears on
I done the cloak of the poet
and send out these lines
And believe that whoever they reach
will be inspired to teach
Those words to the people
who are ready for a poem
A late night verse
for better or worse
Flows from the tip of my pen
and then....

One hundred years ago
is the blink of an eye,
				       one hundred years ahead
				       is a mountain to climb.

Life holds on to the coat-tails of days
through the changes that are time,
fast like Radagast's sled with Rhosgobel Rabbits,
at the speed of light from onset to outcome
where today can be tomorrow or yesterday
				and everything passes.

				      One hundred years ahead
is the blink of an eye,
				      one hundred years ago
                                      is a mountain climbed.

Good Time To Climb

Somewhere in the depths of us
The deepest depths of all of us
We want to feel higher up
And looking down can get it done

Didn't we curb urges to oppress
The ones we used to see as less
Weren't we so ranked at the sun's behest
That we saw sisters and brothers as less

Chin up they say, it's not that grim
At least your not like her or him
Or he or she or they or them
Your clean compared to her or him!

And deep down in the depths of us
The same deep depths of all of us
A conscience fights under its own banner
And holds us high to its own bright standard

Can a soul be lit by another's light
And know the darkness of its nights
Would all our wrongs turn into rights
If we see the darkness of its nights

Why perch on a ladder and scan with our eyes
When we ourselves are steps behind
Could be a billion steps behind
Bad time to look down, good time to climb

Good Time Kim

Here’s a side to Kim you must know:
After guys she goes with gusto.
Without reason or rhyme
She’ll give out a good time,
Just overlook her small bust, though.
