Premium Member The Beauty of Nothingness

Although I am doing my best to wrap my brains around all of this, there's just no way to dismiss some meaningful things I dearly miss. Quarantining for the purpose of containment of a deadly virus is something we have to live with for the survival of all of us.

This morning about a half-past six, I became fixated on a venue that had to be curtailed because of the CoronavirusCOVID 19. The venue was very meaningful to the group, and as I thought upon the beauty of the Tuesday mornings we shared, I began to write. It's easy to think about what was, when it's hard to do something new. For nearly two years I have met with a few other men for breakfast. By the way, to all concerned, methinks this is a good time to make it clear that it isn't true that we only talk about cars, sports, and weather forecasts.

Anyway, initially, I thought that I could never appreciate and be an integral part of something that did not have prayer or Bible as the centerpiece of its focus. But as I meditated on the matter, I dared myself to do something different and began to like the entire idea. It was basically a 'Get-together about nothing'. I recalled that one of my best TV shows was 'a show about nothing'.

The beauty of nothingness can be seen in an atmosphere where there is no agenda. The platform is open, the plan is tossed, and the props are removed and demolished. The purpose is certain and always Christian based, but the process is a mystery. It's an 'outside the box' experience where things could go over the top, but there is no yearning to get to the bottom of things. It's a time of 'just let it happen, or not'. It's a potluck of fellowship and familiarity where nothing of certainty is brought to the table, but where a heart full of substance is always taken from the table. It's a gathering where life is fluid and flows like a peaceful river. It's a river that's very aware that its greatest asset is its tributaries. The beauty of nothingness is not a preplanned analysis of skin-deep or beneath the surface modeling; but rather, it is an ocean of discovery. On this early Tuesday morning, I'm quarantined and ok, but I'm missing something.

Premium Member Woman, Whenever, Wherever, Whoever You Are

well, woman has been around for a while
hypno-teasing men with her wicked smile
been known by many names starting with Eve
  Boadicea, Cleopatra and Genevieve

she can fly-by-night, be out with the bats
purring and prowling with sly slinky cats
never a tame girl, sometimes receptive
with hidden secrets, deep and deceptive

see her in twilight, creature in the dark
flames flickered when she was Joan of Arc
think she has been here for just a few years?
think again, 'them' hills, they flow with her tears

woman has been teacher for aeons of time
wrote most of " Homer ", taught Plato to rhyme
as Archimedes' hand-maid, she had a laugh
when he shouted " Eureka, get me out of the bath! "

around when Adam gave out those spare ribs
her name is on parchment writ with rare nibs
her time here with us, a mere interlude
battles over centuries, a bitter feud

with men from the past and future I'm told
man on her arm, just her latest cuckold
  well-rounded dame or seriously slim
cheerful demeanour or chief sister grim

close-quarter woman talking loud and fast
words over-taking like a blast from the past
so hard to keep up, so hard to break in
leave you behind in the wake of her din!

what's this I hear, is she now slowing down
pausing for men, is she wearing a frown?
perhaps she's starting to shuffle the deck
departure dreaming on a very long trek

maybe no point in moving on once more
the greater challenge is here at the door
as men they shout " I am invincible
I've the biggest Archimedes Principle! "

late at night she now walks the floorboards
seeking a new role, a song with new chords
" where and when will I go, who will I be
will I stay in this land or else oversea ? "

men of the future and men of the past
treasure this woman as head of the cast
  whenever, wherever, whoever you are
she will always twinkle, shine like a star

bring her some chocolate, bring her some wine
make sure she stays and has a good time
but watch at midnight in case she's outside
all alone by the road hitching a ride

silver moonbeam and finest curb crawler
then down to the port and onto a trawler
far out to sea where she thinks of those days
when Gods fought Neptune for sight of her gaze

The Super American

WWII has been over for 66 years &
for some reason those responsible for the production of captain america: the first avenger
think that now is a good time to bring back a douche bag
who was originally called “super american”
by his creator, joe simon
(an obviously generic label amongst all the other “super” heroes that was even too much
for the morons at marvel to run with),
& so the captain was born
because
“there weren’t a lot of captains” in comics.

originally this super american punched
hitler in the face & sold almost a million
copies when that first march 1941 issue
hit the newsstands,
capitalizing on a war fervor that was
explosive in the US before pearl harbor had
even been attacked---
super american & his sidekick “bucky” went
on to fight more nazis & the japanese until
bucky died & was replace by “betsy ross,”
the super american’s fbi agent girlfriend---
modeled on the woman who is said to have
sewn the first american flag, betsy did not revive
the dying series,
mainly because the nationalism that was burning bright
during “the great war”
had burnt out during the cold war period &
so the captain & his flag sewing girlfriend ended up
ceasing after 75 issues,
by which time the whole fiasco had been retitled
captain america’s weird tales---
such justice doesn’t happen often,
it is a shame that it took 75 issues to bring it
about.

now that this new film is about to be release out into the world,
given the state of america’s wonderful reputation
(a bit different than in 1941) as the world’s policeman
who stops at nothing to rape this planet of its natural resources,
squeezing every last drop into its own mouth,
one might wonder how the producers of this film expected to
bring in a dime---
isn’t it bad enough that bombs, troops & drones are storming into
other countries?
now we have to throw it up on the silver screen as well?

it turns out that the film’s title is to be changed for release in
russia, south korea & the ukraine
to only the first avenger.

just what exactly is this super american avenging now?

it seems that now the big
bad
boogeyman
is
us & if there was anyone to be
avenged,
it would be
those that we have stomped on,
those that we continue to stomp on &
those
who we plan on stomping on in the future.

This day born an industrious Eve
Good on paper and better practical wise
Which Adam gets to have a view
How truly the combination would yield
Of himself in his Maker's image
Feel safe and relax-- caution free
Without mirror cum a true reflection

Today's atmospheric template perceive
The bliss, grace, and joy of age to apprise
Giving everyone an open hint to the right clue
How nature's agents naturally wield
Combining colors like rainbow in range
To celebrating her age in such a wonderful glee
Season is experiencing a nice actualization!

To celebrate you isn't a choice
A must if not would develop an ire
Be there soon with you and the cake
But as I prepare, don't wait the party
What a traffic quite aleatory can do?
Just woke up to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Meanwhile, such a moment can't be missed

Gain more wishes with the party noise
Let your dance steps electrify souls like wire
Many would have it a nice memory for that sake
Some will map it out footing such really arty
And laugh themselves all alone without a boo
Yet of you each will have h/her own say
And eventually take it a lovely twist

Over the year gone by, life has a weir
High or low, one can't jump in reverse
May be of laughter in memory, we can
Or of joy in abundance cum such dream
Like what regret can only adjust for us
Or the skills failure enriched our energy
To keep fit the focus of moving forward

Hang them all up in praise as to coffin by bier
And baptize each but only the lessons, don't submerse
To cool its repetitive heat, you need its fan
Alone in its drowning sea, learn how you once swum its stream
That is surely an empowering plus
To cope with a recurrence life lethargy
Aiming at a good time to drag one backward

Please shift to a clockwise direction, be veer
Past is such an insincere infection
Permit not its influence to interfere
Lest, you go ga ga ga in suspension
Instead of going gay gay gay for success
And unsteady motion will rest
Till comes out every of your timing best

Be good dear lovely sister
Be happy now and forever
Be nice to your darling mister
Be his pill cum natural fever ??

Make the best out of today
Make even the very beast go really gay
Make sure sky is not just red
Make sense of the say from each head

Buying Condoms

BUYING CONDOMS

I was desperate to buy me some condoms
On a Wednesday morning in June
My girlfriend had made me a promise
And we were meeting up that afternoon

For she'd noticed that in my frustration
My flat....which I kept fairly neat
Now had fingernail marks on the ceiling
And teethmarks on the toilet seat

So she promised an hour of pleasure
As pleasurable as it could be
She wanted fifty eight minutes
With the other two minutes for me

Now you folks are probably thinking
Splitting an hour like that was a crime
But in my mood of complete desperation
Two minutes seemed like a long time

So I stood in a queue in the chemist's
Hoping to be quite discrete
While the lady in front bought and paid for
Corn plasters to stick on her feet

And when my turn came I was gutted
I though 'this must be a joke'
For a gorgeous young girl came to serve me
I was wanting a grizzly old bloke

Embarrassed I picked up some aspirin
But her smile put me quickly at ease
She said as she took the box from me
'Would you like some condoms with these?'

'We have them in black, red or tartan
And ribbed ones to last a long time'
'Do you have a favourite flavour?
We have peppermint, strawberry or lime'

'Flavours?'........ I nervously stuttered
'Strawberry?.......'Is that what you said?'
'These things are to go on my winkie'
'Not between two slices of bread'

She chuckled away as she wrapped them
She'd decided on tartan and lime
And smiled as she gave me the packet
Then wished me a really good time

I dashed around home in a frenzy
The minutes were ticking away
My girlfriend was coming here shortly
For our sixty minutes of play

My clothes hit the floor in a heartbeat
I put on my condom with glee
And the first that she saw, as she opened the door
Was my tartan condom and me

She screamed as the door closed behind her
Her face like a deathly white mask
Then pointed and silently shuddered,
'What're you going to do with that flask?'

I chuckled 'It isn't a flask it's a condom'
Tartan and flavoured with lime'
With disgust she turned and departed
Walking out for the very last time

So my day of passion was stifled
I didn't make it as far as the bed
And as my condoms were lime flavour
I had them with corn flakes instead

~Another Fairyland Story - An Unexpected Visitor- Part 1
(Short Story or Narrative poem)

It was very early in the morning when I was just having

What I thought was a very good time relaxing all by myself

And remembering all the wonderful times that now have gone by

Since another year had come and left again here in Fairyland.

It has been all to tell the truth not all that great all the time

Since there has been quite some days that I wish rather not

Remember now especially today when all seem to be so sad.

I was about to embark in another one of my exciting journey

When all of sudden I heard what sounded like my front door

Opening and right there behold came bouncing in with a big grin

My very good friend and roommate the Mouse, who just been

Himself as usual said his usual greeting with a very warm hello

And a happy wave of his hand in my direction as he spotted me

Sitting at the table and having my usual hot and nice cup of tea.

This afternoon I was having a very delicious blend of mint tea

With other few spices thrown in the mix to accentuate its favor.

I wavered my hand at him and smiling I said hello to him too and

Asked him to stepped in the dining room and invite him to have

A nice cup too and he told me grinning that he would be more

Than content and very happy to do it since he was in need of

Having my very good company and having a good conversation

With me and update me in some recent happenings in Fairyland.

So he came around and just sat in his usual chair, then served

Himself a very nice warm cup of mint tea too. Then he turned

To face me and started to share with me many things that have

Been Happening in Fairyland for the last 24 hours or so and I was

More than happy to hear what he was sharing with me when all

Of Suddenly I heard what sounded like a very tiny fainting little

Childs voice coming somewhere from where he sat and asked

Him if he's heard it too and then just smiling at me he dipped in

Deep into one of his shirt pockets and gently brought out ...

Rhymes Part 2

Well, the FED was in. A light. Dude, he ing didn't die. His brain came out, but he ing was fly as came up says, I know what, what the problem is, and I'll fix it right away. We got IRS for this. We got FBI for that. We got CIA, you got.

The 27 Club, Part I

His name was Jack O’Bann, and how he liked to play,
if not for school I think he would’ve strummed all day,
and he had a voice of both gravel and honey,
with the kind of power that brought in big money.
It was no surprise he started a high school band,
he rocked the parties, we knew his future looked grand.

But Jack had some trouble, his family disagreed,
they did not like the path where this future might lead,
most musicians failed, and there was no hiding that,
they would tell Jack that against him the odds were stacked,
and with his math skills he’d make a good engineer,
this debate troubled Jack for all of his senior year.

During that last year, he dated a girl named Kay,
who listened to his troubles, the things he had to say,
Jack fell so hard for him, in her arms found relief
from the pressures of family, what career to seek.
His band kept on playing, more and more dates in town,
gaining fans with each show until they were renowned.

But his parents were certain this his path was doomed,
even once tried to lock Jack inside his bedroom!
still he was determined, even though they did scoff,
until one day they both threatened to cut their son off.
He stormed out of the house following a big fight,
in a sour mood went to play a gig that night.

Kay was there with the band and saw that he was pissed,
said,”Don’t worry, go set up, I will handle this.”
So he vented out back, she tried to soothe his rage,
he said,”I’m so done with this now that I’m legal age!”
But somehow she got him to take control of himself,
and he put on a great show for everyone else.

It was a good time that night, Jake’s voice was like fire,
raised the crowd to a pitch, and then pushed them higher,
none knowing that a record man was looking on,
impressed by the skill they showed with their cover songs,
and the passion for their craft they made people feel,
so after it was over he offered them a deal.

All the band was excited, this could be their break,
Jack’s head was in a swoon, it was more than he could take,
first the fight with his parents that had rattled him,
now this chance of a lifetime, he struggled within.
“I just need a moment…I need to get some air.”
He half-stumbled outside, and Kay followed him there...
