Jan's spouse said she's gilding the lilies
For treating herself to new frillies
All the neighbours got hot
When they saw what she bought
And that really gave Jan the willies!
‘‘Twas in those mountains of south Scillies
lived three tribes, first was the silly Bybillies,
men wear fancy frocks, women wear frillies
second of the tribes were tough big bullies,
they were known as mountain Blowbillies
so tough they eat tons of red hot chillies,
third of the tribes grew roses and tiger lilies
this friendly group best known as Hillbillies,
wild and free never visited any big cities
one night all three tribes met at uncle willies
he had the very best barn and good facilities,
sadly a fight broke out between Blowbillies
Hillbillies and Bybillies caused awful activities,
Bybillies ate all the Blowbillies red hot chillies,
Blowbillies were all wearing frocks and frillies,
Hillbillies were all smelling of roses and lilies.

Last night our kitchen light stopped working
It was intermittent all flashing and jerking
A replacement one was quickly needed
There was one on the shelves – our prayers were heeded
We were both up the ladder – we were drilling and screwing
Oh I am thankful my hubby knows what he’s doing
When the light switch was switched on
Bright golden glowing light gently shone
Everywhere was covered with a fine layer of dust
So I got out the hoover - I cursed and I cussed
I started cleaning the nooks and crannies
My hoover is quite new it’s not like my grannies
I hang lots of washing by the kitchen door
But something had dropped right onto the floor
The hoover sucked up my pink lacy knickers
The light on the hoover went red and flickers
I shouted my hubby please come here quick
The hoover has swallowed my frilly nicks
We started to laugh as we undid the cover
My pink dusty knickers we soon did discover
The moral of this story is hang on to your frillies
If not, your assets may get a dose of the chillies
I’m going to keep a tight grip of my panties
I wonder if my husband totally agrees

This really happened yesterday!
your silent words
the most beautiful thing i ever heard
racing through my brain
an intangible perfection
no real direction
it's yourself you entertain
a smile on your face
accepting people's ways
you found your personal freedom
no frillies or lace
no shiny chains
you're happy enough you don't need them
contented mind harmonzing eyes
stay where you want to be
happy cries and static lies
